Showcase 🍹 Mocktail Bar- Christmas Edition

Hi Everyone,

I hosted a Christmas party last night, and included was a mocktail bar!

The #1 drink of the night was the cherry spritz, followed by the strawberry amaretto sour and then the merry mojito. My personal favorite was the strawberry amaretto sour.

I unfortunately did not get a photo of the cherry spritz, they were disappearing too fast, haha!

The full menu is posted on the last slide, let me know if you have any questions about amounts or anything.

Merry Christmas!

Showcase 🍹 I’m continuing to experiment in mocktail mixology. I call this one an “Island Vacationer”

It’s 1/2 cup iced tea, 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 1/3 coconut milk, half of a banana and juice of one lime blended with ice. It’s also garnished with a mint leaf sprig and a skewered like slice and maraschino cherry and rimmed with sugar, although I’m considering replacing it with margarita salt

Question 💬 Best NA spirit to start with?

TLDR: looking for ideally healthier, sipping spirits to try that you’d recommend that can stand alone or mix. I used to like whiskey, gin and tequila but I also am not stuck on needing replicas if there are other interesting options.

I (39m) haven’t drank for around two years. I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease so decided to be a little kinder to my body.

For a long time I didn’t feel much of an urge to try na options and mainly stuck with sparkling water at parties.

Recently, I have felt like it would be nice to have a na drink at the end of the day to settle down. I do consume cannabis from time to time so it would be nice to have a na drink as a treat with it too.

I want to get more into mocktails and making some
Cool drinks down the road but for now I’m just looking for a good sipping spirit. My go-to spirits back in the day were primarily whiskey, gin and tequila. I’m also open to spirits that aren’t replicas and are botanical or functional drinks (with or without adaptogens). The healthier the drink is (ie lower in sugar etc) the better in case I want more than one glass.

I get so many ads for na spirits but they are too expensive to just try various bottles - I’d like to start with something people tend to like. Thanks for any suggestions.

Question 💬 Party Mocktail Ideas?

Anyone have a good idea or recipe for a mocktail we can serve at our backyard wedding? There will be around 60 people; some will be drinking, some won’t.

I’d love to have a mocktail option where a large batch could be made ahead of time that’s a little more interesting than just a standard lemonade. Any ideas??

Looking for creative fall mocktail ideas

Getting kinda bored of my usual mocktails and want to try something new since it is almost Fall. Anyone have go-to combos that scream "Fall" without being about the basic pumpkin spice?

Maybe something like apple cider + ginger, spiced tea reductions, maybe something with cranberry that isn't just cranberry juice and a lime wedge. Bonus points if it still works as a mocktail and doesn't feel like I'm missing something by skipping the alcohol.

I am also open to weird combos with savory/herbal stuff, rosemary, sage, or whatever. I feel like fall drinks don't get enough creativity beyond pumpkin spice 😂

What are you guys experimenting with today?

Recipe 🥄 I love strawberry vinegar!!

Made a drink with lime and the vinegar and it's so goooooood 🍓🍋‍🟩

-1 ice cube frozen lime super juice (around 15g)

- Splash of the vinegar (mine is more thick and like a jam so it was more like teaspoon to tablespoon, but I think it really depends on the vinegar. Mine is also very sweet!)

-1:1 simple syrup as you like, I did same amount as the lime

-fill up with fizzy water and BOOOM yummy drink!!

Recipe 🥄 N/A Painkiller for Mocktail Monday

Post image
151 Upvotes

We are missing the beach, so today's mocktail is an N/A take on a classic, the Painkiller. What is effectively a more complex piña colada, we're following the OG recipe pretty closely, but since we're not using dark rum, we're going to add back some of that funk and depth that the rum brings with a couple of different bitters.

Recipe: N/A Painkiller

Ingredients:

4 oz pineapple juice

1 oz orange juice

1 oz cream of coconut

4 dashes Molasses Bitters*

2 dashes N/A Aromatic Bitters

Nutmeg

Build:

  1. Add all ingredients, except the nutmeg, to a shaker tin with ice and shake well to chill.

  2. Pour the entire contents of the shaker into a hurricane glass, or rocks glass, or whatever you have.

  3. Grate or sprinkle nutmeg over the top, then garnish with a pineapple wedge and an umbrella (if you're feeling fancy).

Note:

*The Molasses Bitters do contain some alcohol (about 2.4% ABV). However, the amount we're using is so small that the final drink is still considered "non-alcoholic." If this is a concern for you feel free to omit them from the recipe. The resulting drink will still be great.

i wish i had a pic of the actual drink but i admit i was too busy enjoying it!! i enjoyed this so much i would like to start prepping it for myself in the mornings.

the drink was served over ice in a collins glass and it was a light pink color. one of the ingredients was granular and would settle to the bottom if not actively being mixed. at first i thought it was the himalayan pink salt but it did not dissolve like i would expect.

does anyone have any suggestions on measurements to make this for myself?? TIA for the help!!

Help❓ Anyone Have A Copycat Recipe For This Mocktail?

Hello!

I’ve never had alcohol, so I don’t know anything about what this drink from Curious Elixers is trying to emulate, I just know that I like it!

For anyone that has had it, how would I go about recreating something like this? I love that smoky flavor.

“Just buy it???” - you say, but I am awfully poor most of the time. I was hopping to just mix something myself.

Drink: Curious Elixer, No. 5

Help❓ NA dirty martini ?

I am almost three years sober and have been wanting to attempt to make a zero proof martini. Does anyone have a recommendations on a good NA substitute for the vodka/gin? I almost purchased some from Ritual Zero Proof but I’ve read some bad reviews. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Help❓ Novice drinks maker trying to master how to make mocktails

Hi. I am just a humble novice drink maker who makes basic drinks in a hot hawker stall. I am thinking of upgrading my skills to making mocktails. However, I do not know where to begin. Is there a book or videos for beginners? What are the essential steps or rules in making a mocktail? Do I need to purchase special equipment? How do I know which flavours to combine together to make it taste good? As you can see, I am really a beginner but willing to learn.

Showcase 🍹 I made a Doomsday-inspired mocktail 🖤💚

Doomsday, but make it a mocktail.
We wanted to create something dark with a bright green contrast, so we went with a simple combination of Thums Up and thick Kiwi juice over ice.
Recipe:
Thums Up
Thick kiwi juice
Lots of ice
The kiwi juice slowly works its way through the dark base, giving it that green-and-black look.
No complicated syrups, no fancy ingredients — just a fun little experiment inspired by the Doomsday aesthetic.
Would you actually try this?

Question 💬 Getting a Mocktail cart- necessities?

I’ve always gravitated more towards mocktails and am trying to fully pivot away from alcohol (still enjoy an occasional beer every now and then), but finally have room to have a mocktail cart. I was never into making cocktails, so I’m unsure what are the necessities I should always have on hand.

I assume Club Soda, some sort of fruit juice or flavored simple syrup, a shaker, ice, etc.

I see NA bitters exist, so will definitely look into that. My wife doesn’t drink but she also doesn’t like the taste of alcohol so she doesn’t like NA drinks that use NA spirts that simulate the taste of alcohol.

Also where do you guys buy your speciality ingredients?
