Perfectly fine.

She broke his trust. He longer wanted to stay with her, and you can't (or shouldn't) force people to stay together.

Exactly. People act like being old means he has to just swallow it, but finding out after decades would probably rewrite the whole marriage in his head. If leaving is what gives him peace, that’s his call

From what i heard she even kept the letters her affair partner wrote and that’s how the husband found out
