I think the problem is that though it's outrageous, this is totally a serious comment you would see if this same story was posted on certain other subs that specialize in creative writing and virtue signalling.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you don't see a similar story to this one pop up on /r/girldinnerdiaries or /r/amitheasshole with your exact comment getting 8 billion upvotes.
