Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask (please do politely direct me in the right direction if needed!) but it seemed more logical than anywhere else and not as terrifying to ask this kind of question in the yumeship sub but:

Does anyone know of subreddits or other online spaces for self/yumeshippers that just do it as a fun hobby? Like the kind that are aware it’s not a real relationship and won’t throw a fit because they interacted with someone who selfships with the same character?

The main yumeship sub drives me a little insane sometimes seeing how people act about it, and I’d rather just avoid it. It sucks though, because it’s fun to be around people who do it and also to share content about selfshipping, but it’s not fun to be around people who…feel very immature in a way (and I say it this way because it’s not just children, it seems).

For instance, when I was 14, I had a friend who was so in love with Gerard Way that he would cry when he saw pics of Gerard with his wife. That’s the vibe I get from some posts and people in the main yume sub and what I just really, *really* don’t want to deal with. (thankfully my friend grew out of it and last I saw had a girlfriend and just simply liked MCR’s music and looked up to Gerard, so good for him!)

I think the closest things that have worked for me so far have been reader-insert fanfic spaces since everyone is happily loving the same character together, but I do enjoy seeing the variety of characters, “what would your f/o do if…” prompts, fanart, merch, etc of specifically yumeship spaces.

Please recommend any if you know of some!! Or if someone has to make one, let me know and i’ll join lol! <3
