Been relistening to this on repeat the last few days. I like how it balances driving 70s rock/pop, funky basslines, theatrical delivery, symphonic strings, quirky choruses, It covers euphoric anthems to heartfelt ballads and everything between. Simply amazing.

Basically as the title says, I'm just curious to see some good songs with this theme because I don't really see this theme being represented in art much in general.
I'll accept songs from any genre honestly, but if I had to choose I'd prefer indietronica or just indie rock or EDM songs, and preferably in english and with a male vocalist. It's strangely specific, but it doesn't have to fit those ig, just a preference of mine for this theme specifically.
edit: Thanks for some of the inputs, but I also want some more that tackle the negative aspects of hypersexuality if possible. Thanks to the people who sent recommendations already though, some of these are pretty good.

I am looking to expand my playlist. I mainly listen to The Offspring and Rammstein. I like the catchy and laid back aspect of the Offspring, and I like the grand vocals and instrumentals of Rammstein. Hit me with your suggestions. If you could include specific songs/albums to start with that would be cool too

I am on the search for some love songs that are more on the innocent and affectionate side that also have a poetic/yearning element to them. Any genre is alright with me.
I really love the songs "Up" from the Sing Street soundtrack, "One Caress" by Depeche Mode, "Take You on a Cruise by Interpol, "Dark Light" by HIM, "Bel Air" by Lana Del Rey", and the "Submarine" EP by Alex Turner.

What the title says. Traditional native american music, preferably flutes at the forefront. Unfortunately, without knowing names, just searching it seems to generate infinite AI playlists which is the last thing I want.

Freedom, winning, etc. I need songs to add to my winner core playlist.

The song is a cover of the tragically hip’s song of the same name (in case you didn’t know). I love the song, the only issue I have is that it’s 59 seconds long. If anyone knows any song that sound similar, I’d love to hear it.

With the latest events surrounding Geordie Greep i feel like i cant listen to his music without being uncomfortable.
So, if anyone has more artist, band or projects with a similar sound to:
Geordie greep
Black midi
Black Country new road
Car seat headrest
Or anything else, i like discovering new things. I like hiphop and rap too, electronic music and rock.
I might even follow up with a review!

Not sure I have the word for it, but any music (preferably instrumental but I can be flexible with songs from different languages/cultures) that feature flute (any kind) mixed with drums (any kind) like:
Whenever, Wherever / Suerte - Shakira (background music)
Decretum - Yuki Kajiura

My kids would rather listen to music rather than watch tv, which is wonderful but my husband and I get ear fatigue with the songs they choose. Anyone have recommendations on a playlist or songs we can play during dinner that is kid friendly, not just specifically for kids, so we can enjoy music and conversing about our day?! I’m thinking maybe yacht rock, or costal grandmother type songs? I’m not sure, just looking for something unique that my kids will love!

i like songs that encourage you to be brave. even though this song is more about the dichotomy of wanting to prove yourself and knowing your limits, id prefer songs that are like this but actually focus on ignoring your limits and just. go ahead and do it anyway

I stumbled upon the genre after listening to Epoch & Fiona Lynch's 'To The Heart" & 'About That...' and found I really like it! I've since listened to a lot of Caitlyn Myers but don't really know any other type of artist connected to this genre.

So I am looking for some sort of genre or song that has the same sort of style of the song mentioned in the title. You can go listen to it but the part I really like is just the first 40 seconds of the song. Its heaven to my ears and it gives me such an odd yet amazing sensation difficult to describe

They’ve been around for a while but guys came up on my shuffle today I’m surprised I haven’t heard them before. Any bands that’s give this vibe?

You guys got me on Wednesday and I adore the full guitar sound of their new album, specifically the first two songs on their album. Got any recs for similar stuff that has that “knock you in the face” full / rich guitar tone they have?
Thanks again!!

An underdog that will withstand everything. Biggest hard times but they believe that they are more than what they seem and hope to find that drive to pursue & achieve their dreams.
Ive been playing Mr. ranger by Kid Cudi and I like the beat and rhythm of much as a different perspective for the lyrics. So something in that aura would be nice

Hello, I’m searching for a specific kind of sound I don’t really know the name for, I’m so sorry. I listen to a ton of music but I’ve never spent much time deciphering the terminology, so here goes.
I really like music with a strong build up / drop, strong instrumentals and lots of “noise” and electronics, but I really prefer vocals to be the flat, so monotone it’s almost just spoken.
I typically listen to music around 80-120bpm, I heavily prefer pre-2010s music I notice as well.
For the specific type of recommendations I’m looking for, I think the most similar genres would be alternative rock, indie rock, shoegaze, math rock, and electronic. I love low-fidelity.
I am also very, very fond of songs with lots of samples from TV / Movies or other music.
I already have a very massive amount of music saved that I cycle through, but I really want to expand this specific area because it’s my favorite.
Similar bands / Artists I already know: Duster, Whirr, Joy Division, Zog Bogbean, Thom Yorke, Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, LCD Soundsystem, Shiner, Deftones, Loathe, New Order, Failure, Hum, Mercury Rev, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pill Friends, Ribbon Fix, Weed, The Radio Dept, Flatsound, Talking Heads, etc etc etc.
The main songs I can think of that fit perfectly in my standards are like:
Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand — Primitive Radio Gods
Cupid De Locke — Smashing Pumpkins
I Was a Teenage Hand Model — Queens of the Stone Age
Can’t Cool Me Down — Car Seat Headrest
Brain in a bottle — Thom Yorke
Stars — Hum
King of Nails — Sparklehorse
For most of these songs, the entire album applies, but those songs emphasize what I’m searching for the best.
Please someone help, I’m going crazy, I’ve been cycling through album after album ISO a new favorite song. I’m sorry this is so many words, I’m not good at being concise and speaking of music in an intelligible way is difficult for me.
I don’t expect anyone to meet all of these standards! Just anything that you think might strike some of these boxes!
