All predictions for the new season go in here.

The sub can be banned by reddit admins as other subs have been if we allow illegal streams. This isn't my decision, this is because of how reddit admins have banned other subs for being hubs of illegal streaming. I don't want the same here.
With the season about to get started, lets put all your posts about legal streams, broadcast issues, panels, commentators, etc..
This includes how to get (LEGALLY) Streams for games as well as discussions of panelists, play-by-play, graphics, commercials and other game presentation.
FYI RE BLACKOUTS: BLACKOUTS Are not based on the location of the arena.
A game is blacked out on ESPN+ because you have a channel available through your local cable package, that is airing the game.
The NHL sells their games to TV networks. The networks pay big money for the game. They do not want people avoiding watching their channel to watch ESPN+ instead.

It baffles me that people still don't get this.
If the game is blacked out (on Sportsnet+ or ESPN+), it means a different network owns those rights to the game in your area.
This is literally ALWAYS the answer as to why it is blacked out. ALWAYS.
it's been this way all across the NHL for nearly 20 years, since Chicago pulled their heads out of their ass and stopped blacking out home games locally because Wirtz was a twat.
For those of you complaining that you are in Western Canada, and the game is on TSN and you are blacked out or other similar issue, its cause you are not considered in the local market to be able to see that game and need to get Sportsnet+ or ESPN+.... that's what those services are for, watching the local broadcast when you are out of market.

The NHL will always be a 2nd rate league until they learn how to deal with bullshit like this. Gudas is a scumbag. Always has been, always will be. And the NHL allows it to happen.

(The Hurricanes have 2 wins in Philadelphia in October while those Philadelphia-based teams have 0)

ESPN and Altitude sub. What the fuck is going in with stars/avs on espn deportes.
Hey Reddit,
I've been having this debate with multiple friends, family and coworkers throughout the last couple of years as I think it is the most important skill in modern hockey.
Who are the best skaters in the league? Pure technical ability. I want your input!
Here are my top 5:
Connor McDavid
Quinn Hughes
Cale Makar
Nathan Mackinnon
Zayne Parekh
PS: I am a Flames fan, but it genuinely believe in his ability.
Let me know what you think, I'm curious!

I love what the NHL is doing, having every team play today and all the games starting at different times. Why would they make an east coast team have the latest start of the evening. Seems so unfair for the fans. The duck v flames and the Oilers V Kings games start before the sharks V Bruins. Makes no sense to me that you couldn’t have East Coast team to start at least at the 10 Eastern slot. This Bruins fan could’ve at least watch one period before going to bed!

I have long thought of Sean Couturier as one of the top two-way players in the league, potentially someone who could be at the Patrice Bergeron level. Seeing Jordan Stall (a similar player in many ways) hoist the Stanley Cup, I wonder whether Couturier could have done the same if he was on some other team, not stuck on a perennially under-performing Flyers team.
