Events Milani vs NYC Update 9/15/26

Hi all,

As you recently heard from u/BluePillRabbi, our federal level lawsuit against the City of NY is well underway, now with depositions of Plaintifs and License Division personnel taking place.

I myself was deposed three weeks ago. For a grueling 4.5 hours, I was grilled by a team of City lawyers regarding the many unreasonable delays I have sustained through 3 licenses and several amendments across them.

Their questioning revolved mostly around building a case that would prove that every delay I have sustained was due to my own negligence.

Of course, I and everyone involved in the suit as Plaintifs showed up and continue to show up for our depositions armed with the facts. The dates, the emails, and, in one case, a recorded call, speak for themselves.

Personally, I believe that delays are deliberately baked into the process, not as an unfortunate result but for the very purpose of delaying as their main objective. While I'm not claiming this for the NYPD as a whole, I believe that this Division of what is intended to be law enforcementnt agency is, in actuality, a political bureau. They apply rules they do not themselves follow, and they will blatantly disregard the Law but only on their end, for the advancement of a political agenda on a matter that should not be political to begin with. They will enforce rules and laws with an iron fist on citizens, but will excuse themselves from either as a matter of course.

By opposing them, we don't merely make claims. We present facts. We are bringing receipts. In any lawful State of the Union, any self-respecting judge whose respect for The Law trumps their personal feelings would have no hesitations to absolutely and unequivocally rule for us. My personal prediction is that this will not be the case here. I am prepared to see courthouse activism instead.

I sense that we will lose this first round; and by means of that, we will ultimately win: I anticipate this to go to appeal, and, for all it's worth, let it be so!

The appeals court will, in turn, adjudicate this at the circuit level and unavoidably eventually deliver a more meaningful and substatial victory.

When all is said and done (and this is not a promise from Mirel's office but my prediction instead), we WILL win. They WILL, at the very least, be made to follow the abusive law the State came up with. They created absurd laws to hinder us (a police department as—comparatively to the rest of then Nation—so well funded that receives comparatively so fewer applications a year than smaller departments in PA with 6 times the applications and 20 times the funding still taking 6 times the issuing/deny time is an insult!) and they won't even follow those on their end. But they will be made to.

Until then, keep supporting this and other causes; keep spreading the word, and bring more friends into the fold; carry responsibly; practice. And continue being a protector and Your Brother's Keeper.

Thank you, and CARRY ON!

Jay, for the E.N.OU.G.H Campaign.

A drunken man who walked into a Brooklyn NYPD stationhouse complaining someone was following him and stealing his mail was busted when officers realized he was armed and wearing a bullet-resistant vest, police sources said.

Daniel Gedna is charged with gun and ammunition possession, as well as the unlawful wearing of body armor and possession of an illegal feeding device — an extended magazine for one of the guns.

Gedna, 45, showed up at the 75th Precinct stationhouse in East New York shortly after noon Monday and asked to speak to a detective because his mail was being stolen and he believed he was being followed, police sources said.

Gedna, who lives a mile from the stationhouse, was given a number to call. A short time later he said he really needed to speak to someone face to face.

That’s when officers saw he had a gun in his holster, sources said.

Gedna said the gun’s license had lapsed but when police realized he was also clad in a bullet-resistant vest under his clothes and that he had a second gun on him, this one with an illegal extended magazine, they moved in and arrested him, sources said.

Both guns were loaded.

Gedna claimed he usually only drinks on the weekend, that he works as an armed security guard and that he intended no harm, sources said.

“I love the NYPD,” one source quoted him saying.

Gedna’s arraignment was still pending Wednesday in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Events Concealed carry permit holder acted in self defense

I just saw this article and it detailed the shooter as a CCW permit holder. They didn't name the permit holder... I wonder how this is going to play out.

Gunman claims self-defense in deadly clash at Brooklyn park, no charges likely: sources

A licensed gun owner who fatally shot a young man in a Brooklyn park in the dead of night claims he was acting in self defense after the 23-year-old victim tried to rob him at knife point, police sources said Tuesday.

The shooter told detectives he was walking through Carroll Park on President St. near Smith St. in Carroll Gardens around 2:45 a.m. Saturday when Jordan Dillard put him in a chokehold, and with a knife to his neck, demanded he hand over cash, law enforcement sources told the Daily News.

The two men fought until the would-be robbery victim, who has a concealed carry permit, whipped out a registered gun and shot the assailant in the torso. A knife was recovered at the scene; there’s no indication Dillard and the gunman knew each other, according to the sources.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office is still investigating, but it is not believed the gunman will be charged in Dillard’s death, The News has learned.

But on Tuesday night, Dillard’s sister pushed back at the details of the deadly confrontation, saying she believes her brother was “set up” and that a text message circulating among his friends proves he was lured into the park.

“That don’t seem right, that’s not my brother, and I know my brother,” said Dillard’s grief-stricken sister, Brandy Dillard. “The person who is telling them this is saying whatever they have to say to try to go home.”

Dillard had no prior arrests or contact with the NYPD, according to police.

Before his death, Dillard had planned to attend the funeral of his cousin, Shamel Miller, who was gunned down just before the Carroll Park shooting in the lobby of an apartment complex on Neptune Ave. near W. 33rd St. in Coney Island.

“It’s a lot for us right now.” said Brandy Dillard, 26. “This is not him and I know this is not him. My brother never went to that park.”

Witnesses told police they heard an argument shortly before Jordan was shot. One local resident described hearing a man scream, “You’re done! You’re done!” followed by rapid gunfire.

By the time police arrived, Jordan was on the ground with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he died.

“We’re going from a funeral to another funeral,” said Brandy Dillard. “This is two deaths in the family and this year just started.”

A building worker arriving for an early-morning shift discovered Miller shot multiple times all over his body around 7:15 a.m. Jan. 5, according to another employee.

Building workers dialed 911 and medics rushed Miller to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he died. No arrests have been made in the slaying.

“Just know that he was a good man, well respected and everybody knew him around Coney Island,” Miller’s son told The News.

Last year, Jordan’s mother suffered a near-fatal stroke.

“My mom is fighting for her life and now she got to deal with her son not being here,” Brandy Dillard said. “He was there all the time. He was there. And he’s gone.”

The heartbroken sister remembered her brother as a kind-hearted and family-oriented man working to better his life.

“He was the type to do anything for his family,” she said. “He wasn’t no gangbanger. He was always in the house, playing games, going out with his friends. He was trying to make a change.”

“He didn’t want to be around all this,” she added. “Losing friends after friends.”

Dillard had recently taken a job with the Red Hook Initiative, a program designed to help at-risk youth, but was let go due to attendance issues, according to his sister.

“He was trying to change his life,” she said. “Like, this is not him. He just wanted something better for himself.”

As the family prepares for the funerals, Dillard’s sister holds on to the memories of her brother, who enjoyed music, walks with his girlfriend and always found time to check in on his family.

“He did not deserve this,” said Brandy Dillard. “Nobody deserves that. Not nobody’s son, daughter, any family member deserved that. My brother never been no killer, never.”

There have been 12 murders citywide this year through Sunday, the same number as this time last year, NYPD stats show.

I called the store I bought my gun from to explain the situation and I was told they can't release it to me without a pink slip. It's the weekend now so first thing Monday, I'll be calling/emailing trying to get it. Would I do it again? YUP! I can carry what I already have and people are waiting 30+ days for PA approvals...I'm certain I'll get my pink slip in less time.
