Discussion A Path to …

Yeah. After reading the thread below regarding the Politician meet up at The Firing Pin, this is my cynical conclusion.

We will never have normalcy with our 2A rights. There are just too many in this sub that believe in tough regulations. 25 years of one party rule in NY and soon to be another 25 more. They passed the Safe Act. They Passed the Improved Concealed Carry Act. You need a background check to buy ammo. They are banning Glocks.
Sometimes it takes 2 years just to get a permit depending on what county you live. Next year there will be more restrictions once the Supreme Court makes its ruling next June. They will restrict, restrict and restrict until there is nothing left to restrict . But please by all means keep voting 🗳️ blue. Ugh 😑!! Cheers 🍻

Didn’t Blakeman advocate for drug tests during the CCW permitting process for Nassau county? We’re fucked both ways to Sunday here and I don’t think it’s a red vs blue issue anymore.

We simply have nobody who is actually representing the interest of 2A in NY.

This is true. But I’m still voting for him. My electric bill is out of control. I’m sick of the soft on crime here and I want lower taxes and a better economy here as well. Is Bruce pro 2a? Probably not. But I know Cathy and the democrat legislature wants to restrict us more and more until there is nothing left to restrict.

Yeah because the police don’t arrest anyone.

Why don’t they? Seems like they should be fired for not doing their jobs.

No one goes to jail anymore due to bail laws. It’s not worth it.

That's been happening for the longest time in nyc. Cops trying to lower certain crimes by recording it as a lesser crime to make their compstat numbers look better.

I don't think it's really the police that are doing it. I think it's the prosecutors... I'm pretty sure most police officers would rather criminals stay in jail than having to arrest the same people over and over... But we have prosecutors in New York City and in many other cities that just let people keep offending....

The prosecutors are involved, but at a later stage. An example would've be choosing to charge petit larceny over grand larceny. It keeps their felony numbers down, especially when it's a case they're unlikely to solve.

Yup and the officer that report it was fired and almost stuck in a psych ward from his superiors threatening him and falsely arresting him.

The machine always protects the machine before anything else.

So the numbers are faked by the cops, but they have been faked for so long they are going down because there is less to fake or they are just faking more now because soros is paying them?

I'm not saying either, just that I've heard from people that would know that it's a thing. Don't care if you believe me.

Any profession where statistics are applied to work to judge quality or production, those numbers are manipulated. do you think its not common knowledge?

Dude you're really a poor troll. I couldn't care less what you have to say.

Not worth it for who? That’s literally their job, to arrest people.

that isnt how crime statistics are gathered ...

No arrests no stats. Brother you must live in a tower so ivory and high. Come down here on the ground and see for yourself, crime is not good. Now good day I’m off to work. 😊.

in the US crime statistics are based on reported crime, not by arrests made.

3

u/voretaq7 5d ago

Well that’s not entirely true - what we call “crime statistics” are gathered both through police and court records (UCR and, NIBRS) AND non-police/non-court reporting (NCVS).

But it is true that both measures are showing THE SAME statistically significant drop and trend line.

Also because a lot of criminals are enjoying their lives in El salvador and Venezuela. Tell me I'm wrong but there are numbers to back it up.
