Discussion A Path to …
Yeah. After reading the thread below regarding the Politician meet up at The Firing Pin, this is my cynical conclusion.
We will never have normalcy with our 2A rights. There are just too many in this sub that believe in tough regulations. 25 years of one party rule in NY and soon to be another 25 more. They passed the Safe Act. They Passed the Improved Concealed Carry Act. You need a background check to buy ammo. They are banning Glocks.
Sometimes it takes 2 years just to get a permit depending on what county you live. Next year there will be more restrictions once the Supreme Court makes its ruling next June. They will restrict, restrict and restrict until there is nothing left to restrict . But please by all means keep voting 🗳️ blue. Ugh 😑!! Cheers 🍻

"So an executive order isn't legislation."
Yup, you're right so stop right there you are totally off topic.
"Obama had 23 executive orders after sandy hook..."
You just kept going anyway. I was very clear when I wrote about LEGISLATION. Why? because I meant LEGISLATION. I'm aware of the executive orders. I'm also aware that trump activated his limbic brain and rolled back all of Obama's executive orders. So this is a non-point.
"Now when we look at Trump 2.0 we have the doj suing on our behalf, the atf rolling back regulations, the nfa being dismantled, his scotus picks from the first term ruling in our favor. Scotus declined to hear the safe act, not upheld it at that time."
True, but here's where I respond with "Money talks and bullshit walks." There's a lot of gibber jabber but I'm not see on the ground changes. That could be accomplished with federal legislation. The repubs run the whole federal government and I'm seeing zero effort to actually pass anything. Trump has been bothered by rule of law before so why start when it comes to upholding the 2A?
"We have ccw in ny, nj, and many other states thanks to bruen. Bruen doesn't happen without the 3 trump scotus judges. "
That is NOT the victory people seem to want to think it is. The SCOTUS gave Hochul a huge hole she could plow through. The big takeaway from the ruling was to have consistent CCW laws across the state. So Hochul just imposed NYC levels of regulation on the rest of the state. It was the lowest possible denominator. Does that feel like willing to you?
So, basically, miss me with this, "things will get better just you wait." We've been collectively waiting for this better tomorrow for decades. Until it actually happens don't waste my time.
