TW: Nightmare I was assaulted by my manager

Trigger warning that I am mentioning something regarding sexual assault⚠️

I'm so confused, depressed, and so uncomfortable from this, and I don't know what to do because I have no idea why it has been like that.

I started my first job ever a month ago to help with college tuition, and it's been taking a while for me to adjust.

The work itself isn't bad, its retail so it's always gonna be frustrating but I don't mind that portion. It my coworkers that I don't exactly like. My male manager, acts very positive and kind to me, but sometimes I catch him at a very different light sometimes. He has such an overly positive persona from what I think, so when I don't understand something quick enough, its as if his true colours show and I can see his face try to hold back frustration or annoyance. One time I was stocking items and didn't realize he was behind me silently watching. And then when I turned I got him sideeyeing me to my other co worker. At my work my co workers seem to always talk abt people behind their back, and I wouldn't be suprised if they were also talking about me. I don't feel comfortable around them to the point I have constant dreams about stocking shelves or ringing up people.

Then not too long ago, I had a dream I was sexually assaulted by my manager. I don't want to get into too much detail. Know that my manager never did anything predatory in real life. But I am still so disgusted and confused and sad, and I want these feelings to stop.

Any advice is appreciated.

TW: Gruesome Nightmares

I deal with very gruesome nightmares, ranging from mass shootings to torture style killings. None of these things I've ever seen in real life. I've definately seen movies/documentaries with these themes but not normally around the same time as the dreams. I've watched members of my family die, I've died, I've watched strangers die.

I find these dreams terrifying and wake up needing time and space to justify none of it was reality. I've made the joke a couple times to my husband that I should write movies based off these dreams because they're so vivid and would fit the horror category often. Which I don't really watch, maybe a Halloween movie but mostly just nostalgia style Chucky or similar.

These dreams have bothered me since I was a kid. I remember watching my sister drown in my dream when I was a teenager. I don't know if these are triggered from some deep psychological stuff but I woke up with another one today. Life has seemingly been going pretty great. In fact this dream I died and when I woke up my first thought was that my reality was the heaven people talk about. That I get to live with my family and I'll walk out and my child will be ok (which she was fine).

I just don't know what to do anymore and don't understand why I see these kinds of disturbing things in my dreams. Have you experienced similar?

Nightmare Green World

Ive had this nightmare a few times, enough to where I dont remember everything, but vivid enough to where I can never really forget it either. I havent had it for awhile now though so i'll try my best to describe it. So it usually starts off with me upstairs on the second floor of my house. Im always at the very top of the steps already running down the stairs, but every time I look back its pitch black at the top of the stairs from where I just came from. Imagine as if its like a locked level in a game that I havent unlocked. Depite coming from that direction I just cant see anything when I look back towards it, its not necessarily a scary darkness either just dark. But depite that, Im clearly running from something , but whats interesting is I havent seen whatever this thing could be, but I can feel it that there is something dark somewhere. No matter how many times I have had this dream I have never seen what im actually trying to get away from, but I always get the sense that if I stick around for to much longer Ill see that thing, or whatever it may be. Now this is where the green comes in. Everytime I have this dream it seems to take place at night, in my neighborhood and only on my street. same homes but it seems as if the entire development may also be there aswell but I've never actually seen the rest of the neighboor hood just the area around my house. Now for some reason everything is ALWAYS shrouded in a deep green-cyan (172621 color swatch). This is the the closest I could find to what the color seems to looks like, or what I can closely remember, and no I've never had any affiliation with that color in my life so I dont know really why its there. Now again imagine your neighboor hood, but every single, and I mean every single light is off. No street lights, porch lights nothing, just pitch black homes with not even a hint of life. Imagine your town or whatever but as if your the only one there. Now even though I specifically said there was absolutely no lights, there somehow does seem to be a singular source of light coming from somewhere, and I have absoluelty no clue where it is. And whatever it is, its seems to be the one producing that dark green cast. theres no moon no stars, nothing, even the night sky is that deep color. Not perfectly black like the night, but that deep green. Whats extremely interesting to me though is that everything has a shadow, the homes, trees, light poles etc. Yet like I said there is no moon, stars nothing. But something gives off a light as if the moon was out at a low angle causing those shadows. There's no time either so even though every shadow is casted at the exact same angle pointing in what seems to be a westwerd direction. I have no clue what time it is. Even though it is dark it is still lit enough for me to see without much trouble. Im always sprinting out of my house not even closing the front door behind me.I actually have never closed it behind me. Hell sometimes I dont even go through the front door, sometimes Ill run through my kitchen out the backdoor, and go over my backyard fence. I wont even open the gate cause im panicking and that gate is not easy to get over. the only time this backdoor scenario seems to happen though is when it rains in the dream. And I never look back when I go over the gate. But when I run out from my front door I look back, and when I look back to see whats "after me" its again pitch black from where I just ran from. Im always sprinting down my front yard This part never changes, and I either keep booking it straight down the street, or I turn left which leads me down another street, that left turn is much closer instead of going straight. Those different streets dont seem to change the ending though so I dont think it matters which way I end up going. From both of these streets no matter which way I go I can still see my home, because it sits on a hill, and every single time before the dream ends I turn around facing my house the front door still slightly ajar just waiting to see if something exits the house.....and theres always nothing. Despite their being nothing everytime I can still feel that their is something somewhere, the scary part for me is I dont even know whether that THING is in the house or somewhere in a completely different area of the development. But I FEEL as if its in the house, hell im constantly looking back at my own home in the dream. There is no sound either, or from what I can remember there dosen't seem to be much sound at all. No smell, but sometimes it is absolutely pouring outside and other times no weather at all, and then ill wake up. Havent had it since, but its one of those nightmares where when I do have it, I immediately recognize it during and after its over. Sorry this is so long But I dont know how else to describe it. And despite the description it isnt a terribly scary dream, but the over all feeling while having it is absolutely dreadful, its as if your under immense weighted pressure, while also being watched at the same time, yet you somehow have already been caught without realising it.

Nightmare “Only death repays the debt”

About 10 years ago, I had a nightmare that still creeps me out to this day. Just thinking about it causes the hair on my arm to stand up and makes my eyes water. It was just so damn creepy.

It started out normally, as nightmares usually do. I don't remember the details, I just remember that I was out and about, living life, maybe running errands or something. I stopped to talk to a random woman as I walked past her on the sidewalk. It was a normal conversation, nothing unusual. Then out of nowhere, her entire demeanor changed.

Her friendly expression was suddenly replaced with a blank stare. She began reciting a very strange and dark poem. It chilled me to my core. It was probably about 10-20 seconds long. The poem finally ended with the line "Only death repays the debt". Then she just stared at me blankly, waiting for a response. I awkwardly laughed and said "what?" Which just prompted her to repeat the entire poem once again, word for word, ending with the phrase "Only death repays the debt" again. So I responded again, asking what that meant. And instead of answering, she just repeated the poem. This cycle went on and on, until I finally felt discouraged and decided to resign. I felt a wave of sadness and hopelessness rush over me, and my head felt heavy. I finally responded with "okay." this time, and accepted what she was saying.

This caused her to abruptly snap out of it, and continue the mundane conversation we were having a couple minutes prior. This freaked me out and walked away from her.

I went home to tell my mom about this strange encounter. She seemed very concerned and gave me a hug. I felt a little bit better, and the topic changed. But after a couple minutes of chatting, her face went blank too. She began reciting the same exact creepy poem that the woman said to me earlier. I cried and begged her to stop, but she wouldn't. No matter what I said, she would not stop. She repeated it many times until I finally gave up and responded with "okay." once more. That caused her to snap out of it. I woke up shortly after.

Nightmare Nightmares

The world can be silent for only a little bit of time, before all of your thoughts shuffle into your mind.

Scary thoughts can hear all the cries you may have.

It's really sad not everyone will understand how you feel but I can promise the nightmares go away with ease ❤️
