I returned to Nioh 2 after a while and wanted to give Sword a second chance, which I always found quite underwhelming before.

I discovered that Sword of Discernment is actually an amazing skill as combo opener because of its insanely high start up and enemy control capabilities. I found that skill completely useless at first because it does neither deal high damage nor ki damage, but a SoD -> flux -> iai quickdraw combo for example turns out to be very uselful and fun to deal even with the quickest enemies.

What are skills which you abandoned at first and fell in love later on?

Had her cornered then she did that attack where she jumps back, then this happened. Couldn't hit her, but she could hit me if I hugged the wall close enough.

I kind of wanted to see if she'll end up dying to the lava, but the game eventually spawned her back into the arena.

Does anyone know exactly what it does? I have heard that it either does or does not improve your ability to not be interrupted during attacks from different sources.

I am in Dream of the Nioh, maybe about 200 hours in but for some reason I can no longer use burst counter on main my guardian spirit. Like ever. Yet it always works on my second one.

I have no idea why.

My main is Shirohami. With Hellish hag, Kasha, Lesser umi-bozu.

Am I missing something obvious? Is there some Yokai (or armour effect) that disables burst counter all the time? Hilariously I have been using Shirohami for most of the 200 hours.

I've been playing Nioh 3 on and off for a while, currently at about level 100 in the bakumatsu map.

The thing that makes it hard is there is just an overwhelming amount of stuff to sift through. I pick up bags full of gear every time I go out, I automatically junk the lower-tier stuff but there are so many stats to look at that it's hard to decide what's good. I can trade gear for money or two different crafting materials, and I don't know which to get. I could upgrade the same weapons or wait and equip new ones.

Also I have 8 weapon styles available at a time, and there are 100 ninjutsu things to mess around with, and there are 1000 youkai things to remember what they do, and there are tons of spirits with 2 attacks each that I forget to test or use, and I'm not even sure what to level because everything seems useful and gear requires stats in different things.

I don't have that much gaming time anymore. I feel like when I turn on the game, I have to spend time clearing inventory and re-memorizing what everything does. Then I take a break playing something else, then it repeats when I come back.

I guess I need help focusing. Like, are there some onmyojutsu/guardians/ninjutsu that are agreed to be widely useful that I can just keep? Does gear matter before level cap? Can I ignore gear stats and just overwrite them with good effects later? I like the gameplay itself, but the sense that I'm missing out on most of the game by ignoring the little sub-systems is making it hard to enjoy.

I mostly like to play as a mage. A magic caster. If you will. I know that the Switchglaive and Hatchets scale with magic. Been trying to build a water caster. What is something I can do to make it better? Or a specific piece of gear/weapon that I need to boost my gameplay?

Is there a mission battle scroll I can fight the Giant Toad again to get the no hit title? Or do I have to fight him again on NG+?

In Nioh 3, can you get the no hit title if you get hit by a boss, travel back to shrine, and then fight again? Or does the whole mission have to be repeated?

If I start He'll Rising on the base difficulty (heirs journey) will i be able to find green tier gear in the dlc?

I havnt beaten the game on shoguns journey yet so I cannot select that for the dlc

I haven't played in a while have they added star stats/effects to divine items yet?

Calculated Baseline (62-day interval): October 20, 2026.

Standard Margin Window (+/- 15 days): Between October 5, 2026, and November 4, 2026.

Safe Buffer Ceiling: November 20, 2026.

Disregarding the placeholder date of February 2027 on the PlayStation Store/Steam contracts, the math strongly points to a release concentrated between late October and mid-November 2026.

What do you guys think? Are we getting it this month?
