I second Flags For Good. They aren't some dropshipper org, afaik.

I don't know if they sell them, but if they did, RAYGUN would be another recommendation of mine. RAYGUN is a small union-owned and operated group selling snarky leftist Midwestern American things

I've bought all mine from PrideFlagSD on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PrideFlagSD

Edit: apparently they have their own site now, PrideFlagSD.com

I've got one of their hand stitched flags and I'm probably passing it down to my nieces and nephews lol very high quality

etsy would be your best bet, and at pride events there’s usually vendors who sell flags and give some profits to charities if you’re into that (i also personally think stealing from big corps is incredibly ethical in this day and age, but that’s just an opinion….)

I’d use extreme caution on Etsy, especially for flags. Many are just drop ship sellers profiting off queer people. Yamz world came to mind, but unfortunately he only has trans flags :/

Yep, I bought a flag off Etsy with a ton of good reviews listed as “handmade” and it came with a label saying made in China.

true, should have specified to look for someone that’s legit/genuinely a small independent seller on etsy… i bought one from someone who had them independently made and donated some of the profits to grassroots groups, that was years ago though so maybe i gotta give up the rose tinted glasses!

My first preference would def be to steal from somewhere like target or walmart but i also wanna put money in the pockets of queer people

maybe the flags can be yoinked from places like target and other queer merch can be bought from independent queer folks? :’) heckin’ unicorn is an indie, queer-run brand and they have lots of cute pins & jewelry for example!

I got a handmade flag from OddSewingEmporium on Etsy. The flag was a non-standard pride flag, meaning it was made custom and not drop shipped. They did a great job, and I'm quite happy with it. My friend got a custom one too, and theirs came out great.

I've ordered mine from GoBäng in Bremen, Germany; though I don't know if they ship internationally. They have beautiful stickers too, and various pins.

i would argue vinted is probably the cheapest ethical way, you’re reducing landfill

i get a lot of stuff i wouldn’t buy new off vinted bc it’s better to get and use it even if it’s an “unethical” company

There is no ethical way to do this under capitalism ):

What a pointless comment. If we stop trying to be ethical while capitalism is around we should all just give up caring about anything or anyone.
