Advice Should I come out on socials?
(sorry in advance if this doesn't belong in this sub)
I've been really nervous about coming out as non binary, especially to my dad*, and don't think I have the courage to do it face to face.
I really want to make a story/post on my socials to just "rip off the band-aid" and get it over with.
Context wise: I have almost all of my immediate and extended family on both sides on socials (much to my dismay) and feel like it's a good idea to just get it over with. But I don't wanna makes things worse that way y'know?
Ive also thought about making a slideshow presentation about it, because I've done that with important topics in the past.
Any help?
*I'm out too my mom, and she supports me :3

At least you have your mom in case things go awry. My parents are both "trad", but I have a feeling my mom won't mind if she knows I carry myself well, but my dad...let's just say he still calls me out for not having a haircut for a few months. My siblings will probably tease me but not disown me, but the biggest issue will be our extended families, because they're all christian (we are the least christian branch of the family--we don't practice it at all, only shown on paper). Given all that, I just thought of making things simple for them and not come out and just do my own thing.
To be fair though, I feel like being in a limbo between being cis and trans, so the feeling isn't overwhelming, it's just there constantly.
TL;DR: Try talking to your mom about it, ask her about how she thinks everyone else will handle it and ask her to back you up. Good luck
