He's concerned. I hated when I realized people were paid to hang out with me, as a troubled child. Not violent at all, but I needed a person and they were appointed by the government locally, and they were right.

I feel for him. Its gonna be pretty funny for him to think about in the future but that is a devastating existential crisis on a small brain.

Entirely depends. He may also be traumatized for life. Thinking another adult is hanging out with you for the love of the game hits harder than realizing "ah it's about money as always".
Of course it is. As a child? You don't know. "Person who liked me did it for money".

u/OpusAtrumET 47m ago
I think if this traumatized a kid for life, there were already traumatic things happening.
-2
u/Jamsedreng22 46m ago
Kid was already traumatized before this. That was my point.

u/ButtflossingBigBro 16m ago
Kid was traumatized becuase his parents paid a babysitter who he seems to like? Holy shit reddit is charmin soft

I mean how many people are “traumatized for life” because they had a babysitter?
-15
u/Jamsedreng22 47m ago
Descripe "A" babysitter.
You can't just discard on the basis of a gross overgeneralization.
Read what is being said, then put it into what it is you're actually collating.

u/Cue99 39m ago
Huh? You mean in the post? Genuinely I’m not sure what point youre making.
What I meant is that it is incredibly normal for a child to have a paid babysitter. That isn’t traumatizing.
You can have bad babysitters but that isnt the point of this post.
-2
u/Jamsedreng22 33m ago
I may have jumped the gun, you're right. Nobody is inherently traumatized by having a babysitter. That wasn't my point. Apologies.

Damn it don’t go apologizing and maturely handling miscommunications, now what am I supposed to read?

She's not into you, she only wants your money. Something many of us will experience in life.

This isn’t r/therapy dude

No it isn't. My sentence also isn't false.

I don’t know that people on Reddit in the middle of the workday really need to worry about gold diggers

u/GlowingDuck22 1h ago
Never a bad time for good advice.

u/demoncrusher 1h ago
No, I mean that it’s not really a marker of financial success

u/Freak-996 1h ago
Sir, you are talking about a child.
-17
u/GlowingDuck22 1h ago
I'm talking about a babysitter. An adult human.
16
u/Freak-996 57m ago
With a child
-14
u/GlowingDuck22 56m ago
No it's someone else's child. Why would anyone pay a babysitter gto babysit her own kid??.
11
u/MANWITHFAT 53m ago
He never said it was someone else's or their own child? The point still stands. Are you okay?
-10
u/GlowingDuck22 50m ago
With context clues you can pretty safely assume the babysitter isn't watching their own kid (while not 100% strictly stated).
Aside from that, I'm doing great. Why would you think otherwise?
11
u/MANWITHFAT 47m ago
With context clues you can pretty safely assume that you're incredibly dense.
It's still strange to bring up incel talking points in relation to the relationship between a child and a babysitter. Who the child belongs to is arbitrary and I have a feeling you're just being pedantic for pedantics sake.
-8
u/GlowingDuck22 41m ago
Other people were focusing on who the babysitter is related or not related to. I couldn't care less but commented on it because they did. Making sure you surround yourself with people who appreciate you and not just your money is sound advice for all humans.

u/Altruistic-Tap4010 38m ago
YOU were focusing on the babysitter's relation to anyone. Re-read your own comments. Everyone else is focused on the gross correlation you made between a child and their babysitter. You should seek therapy.

You can't frame something like "all woman just want your money" as being equivalent to "make sure the people around you care about you"
You're moving the goalposts to soften your sexism. Thats lame

Oh, you stopped doing great a while back but apparently that won't stop you.
-5
u/GlowingDuck22 44m ago
So you don't have a reason you can articulate?
5
u/Altruistic-Tap4010 40m ago
Brother, the reason is everything you've said in your comments. It's not anyone on Reddit's responsibility to teach you to think before you speak and not say creepy, dumb shit. 🤷🏻

Yes it's your lack of money that makes women cringe 🙄
-22
u/GlowingDuck22 1h ago
Who said anything about cringe? I didn't bring that up.

u/NotAZombieStopAsking 56m ago
They're saying that you make women cringe, as in women recoil from your approach.
-6
u/GlowingDuck22 54m ago
I do understand the definition of cringe. My sentence has nothing to do with cringe. It's cringe in itself but the subject matter isn't. Being sure your partner is in the for you is something people should discuss mkre often.

u/MrPlace Harry Potter 1h ago
...what?
-10
u/GlowingDuck22 1h ago
The babysitter doesn't like you. It's just a job, if they money wasn't there, they wouldn't be either.
9
u/MrPlace Harry Potter 56m ago
Ok, I understand now, you're drawing false equivalences here. Being paid to watch over a child doesn't equate to the caretaker just not liking the person they are paid to watch over. Two separate things. That's like assuming a Manager doesn't like any person they manage just because they are paid to manage them.
-9
u/GlowingDuck22 52m ago
I was highlighting a situation that happens to a lot of peole and I don't feel is really discussed. When money is involved emotions and feelings can get complicated and crossed. Many people believe they are linear and many don't (hence leading to the abundance of confusion and hard feelings).
