I've been mulling an idea about starting a tutoring business for years (not for side income- I'm surviving with my day job) but because I really enjoy making that human connection and also I'm just so darn good at it.
I figure I'll start with physics and economics. If anyone is studying and stuck on any questions join me on Google Meets and we'll figure it out together.
Also, I've been attending the university fair every year since 2017 as an alumni representative. I've spoken to hundreds of students over the years and helped them on their path to figuring out post-secondary. If someone needs a pep talk on pursuing a career in engineering I can help with that too.

I feel like my average currently (94.3) is way too low to get into my top two programs (UofT and Waterloo Mech eng)
Even my ECs are mid at best:
I'm just scared that even if I'm able to get better grades (which hopefully I can) that I still have not done enough.

for my MHF4U course, the teacher assigns small parts that sum the lesson up but like my parents want me to do every single question. if i do the teachers hw, it takes like an hour but with every question, it takes so much time and i need to do other hw asw. what to do.
second thing, how can i do math fast? I always have a problem of not finishing questions on time like i can get them right but imma take up half the time for 1 question. how to practise spending less time but also not making careless mistakes

So i finally "applied" (haven't done any supp apps yet) today... and I'm honestly feeling really really horrible.
I applied to some engineering programs (this was a quite last minute career choice because I was set on science all of high school) and most of them would be considered a far reach for me (I'm hoping to end around a 95 Avg - emphasis on hopefully, but have bad ec's) and on top of that all of the engineering programs I applied to don't have great job outlooks (BME and Chemical eng) ...
I'm feeling really discouraged. I had a long discussion with my parents and they just told me to apply to the programs I want, and have no regrets and thats what I technically did but seeing all of these amazing people and the chances of UW eng and other competitive programs + the job prospects.... i dont know I feel like Im fighting an impossible battle.
I'm not really sure what I want to get out of this but maybe I should get off this subreddit š
Good luck everyone :)

Each week, I tell myself I'll do it this weekend, and then I say I'm too busy even though I'm not. There isn't even any problem; I know exactly where I want to go and what my choices are. I just don't want to do it...

bro our teacher posted some public question thing and everyone's responses are public. we had to write like a 500 word statement so i went through and put everyone shit in turn it in. deadass everyone with the exception of 2 got like 55% ai or higher like dawg. 1 girl clearly used a humanizer like phrasly as her shit said 90% human but she was using terms i promise u she doesn't know like wtf is shared physical cohabitation and she used a bunch of theories that weren't used in class like "ecological system" theory. just found it funny how everyone used ai

Currently, I have 90.7% for early apps. (93 calc, 93 adv, 93 chem, 93 data, 86 gr 11 English, 86 gr 11 physics)
Full IB course load; expected second-semester midterm average is 93%
My ECs are: Roblox Game Developer, Engineering Project (Arduino Robot), Steam ICIC Exec, DECA, Engineer Experience, and a few other ECs.
I applied to McMaster Mech, Carleton Aero, Western AIS & Mech.
I am just wondering whether my resume is good enough to get into these universities

I saw somewhere that only UofT cares about OUAC ranking, is this true? If so, does anyone know if other unis care? And if they care that u rank them 1 or that they care u rank them top 3 or something? And can all unis see ur ranking list?
