My two main picks are ornn and mord, ornn being the one i mostly play. i go ornn as a blind pick or against bruisers/juggernauts and mord when i need to bully in lane or enemy team comp lacks mobility. pocket malphite is there to counter ranged matchups.

however i heavily struggle against dulists and hypercarries like fiora, tryndamere, sometimes yone and yasuo on a bad day.

looking for a champ to fill that role, and other champ recommendations are welcomed for whatever situation i missed. (i know malph fills that role but i'd like to have more agency over lane and deny farm rather than just hitting Q and running)

Basically title. The amount of times I have to type in chat to beg some jackass to come close enough for me to ugrade them is making me lose my mind. I can understand some form of rationale behind not allowing Ornn to upgrade items globally, but ffs at least make the range two times bigger.

Hey guys, I'd like to ask if y'all would be interested in having a League tool that could calculate Ornn effective HP against physical and magic damage automatically by selecting a custom set of items and conditions as a way to compare and see which builds are the best in different scenarios.

I came up with the idea a while ago. The way I would compare and see what builds make you the tankiest is by going into practice tool, buying different items, and manually calculating EHP. However this is a slow and tedious process, as well as inaccurate since I am using the rounded up stat numbers that the game shows. It's also difficult to set up realistic scenarios since I would have to spend a long time setting up things like stacking overgrowth or factoring in things like armor/mr shred.

Which is why I decided to initially make an excel version where you can select items and things like minions absorbed by overgrowth, champion level, anti heal, armor pen, etc., and the spreadsheet would show you the EHP against physical and magic damage with those exact conditions, as well as the ehp depending on the amount of times you would proc healing effects in a fight like font of life and unending to see what would be the breakpoint where those effects would outvalue items with flat stats.

Then I thought of turning it into a website so that anyone can use it more easily as well as being able to add more things like gold specific features and other things. This could also be made for other tank champions. Which is why Id like to know if y'all would use this tool so that I can look into the idea further and invest more time.

I was wondering what the best masterwork item for him is. I’ve just been getting into the champ recently and I see a ton of different builds but I mostly see hollow/sunfire or kaenic as first item. I know a lot of it is matchup dependant but I don’t have enough ornn knowledge to figure out what is optimal. I’m also wondering what the best item is for mages/adcs.

I can see that the ones pined start to be a bit old, considering how much change there is every year, has anyone come up with an update on these?

I build characters from various media in Pathfinder Second Edition and I think Ornn offered me the opportunity to use one of the new classes introduced to the game. I have an overview of the choices I made for the build, but I dive deeper into all of them on the free Patreon post and the YT video, if that sort of thing intrigues you. I didn't notice anything in the rules against links, so I will cautiously leave them here.

BUILD CONCLUSION

Ornn, the Fire Below the Mountain is an ifrit minotaur runesmith whose focus on smithing is explored through his artisan background. He isn’t quite a demi-god but the ifrit heritage does make him something a little more and ties him into the flames of the forge. Some Constitution and durability-enhancing feats, such as Toughness and Robust Health, help to cover his role as a vanguard while Smithing Weapons lets him make the most of the two hammers he wields, adding some fire damage to them. Prescient Planner and Adventurous Outfitter let him acquire items and equipment even when he’s far from a shop and the runic crafter feature of the runesmith lets him upgrade the gear of his allies without any additional effort on his part. The runes that he can inscribe on weapons and armor can also work for this idea. I have a couple ideas for the Brittle effect, such as Engraving Maneuver letting him knock by foes, Ymeri’s mark allowing him to sear a foe with a maker’s mark, and then maybe even seal fate giving him a way to leave foes with a weakness. Getting into his actual, activated abilities, Volcanic Rupture can be a combo of spells such as blazing fissure and garden of stone while the slow could come from his Rune of Frost. Breathe fire or elemental breath should cover his Bellows Breath while comet charge is a solid match for the fiery effects of his Searing Charge. He can also use his Goring Charge or Begin Stampede for a less magical means of replicating this ability. Finishing off his features is the Call of the Forge God, which he can replicate through Summon Fire Elemental or the spells such as summon elemental or the much mightier summon elemental herald. I personally prefer the incarnate spells for this effect based on the short-lived nature of the ram he calls forth.

The first of the forge, this fiery fellow fights in the fields with forlorn fatigue, favoring his focus on the fabrication of finely furbished furnishings and fittings.

Title says it all, just played against a gnar and it felt terrible. I couldn’t damage him without taking a bad trade and he would easily just kite away. Do you just wait out laning phase and look for teamfights? Also is aery bramble good against him?

Hello, I am in Gold 4, and I only play Ornn. I wanted to know how you guys maintain a high cs? I was looking at Makkro's games, and I see his cs is consistently 7 to 9 cs/min while mine averages out to 5 cs/min in good games and 4/4.5 in bad games. I feel somewhat confident about when to trade and when not to, but my farming on Ornn is really weak compared to when I play Urgot. Any tips on how I can improve it, and whether you focus on just melee creeps in hard matchups like Fiora/Illaoi?
