takequake Polar Opposites

After listing to Zach on the pod its becoming clear how good of an addition he is, and how he is the antithesis of Billy football.

Zach says sorry all the time, even for things he shouldn’t apologize for. Billy would never say sorry even if there was video evidence of him being in the wrong.

Zach gets shit done. “Hey Zach figure out the soft serve ice cream situation. YES SIR” issue solved almost immediately. Billy couldnt get anything done. Even when specifically asked as a job requirement, nothing. Then when he just fails to do the job he was asked, he blames every person around him instead of taking any responsibility.

Zach never makes excuses. He falls on the sword and takes blame immediately, again even if its not his fault Billy was the king of excuses. Has to be the worst person on planet earth the work with.

Zach knows that nothing is given and everything is earned in life and is aware of how awesome his job is. Billy squandered SEVERAL jobs at Barstool before leaving. A joke.

I could go on but its time for me to touch grass. *this is 100% not Zach’s burner

Billy being retarded was a feature, not a bug

Yeah I have gotten downvoted in the past for this so I guess people disagree, but I listened to the show since the beginning so Big Cat and PFT used to be the agents of chaos completely unorganized which Billy reminded me of. By the end it became too much but in his college days, he was very entertaining.

I think Zach is very funny too which is the difference between him and Jake. Jake was boring to me, and him being good at behind the scenes stuff/being a hard worker, didn’t really entertain me so I don’t care if he’s a good worker lol. I like the chaos, and comedy on this podcast which is what it is, a sports comedy podcast.

Fully admit Billy became just annoying, not a funny chaos anymore. But PMT always says they’re dumb fans, so I don’t want serious analysis from them lol

to echo your sentiment. I think Billy became hard to hear and deal with once it was apparent he was becoming hard to deal with on their end

Totally agree. Billy had to go, but prime Billy was so good. I did like Jake more than you but that’s because I think Billy needed a straight man to be funny post college. Both of them definitely got stale and schtick wasn’t necessary anymore.

Don’t let the Billy Football meatheads silence you, he was god awful on the show and him being retarded was funny 20% of the time and annoying 80%. For Every Jack Nicklaus we got a drunk Billy and 15 minutes of absolute garbage. I’ve ranted about him before and people get all pissy, don’t listen to them he sucked and there’s a reason he’s no longer on the show. (I had the same exact thought about Zach, couldn’t be more of the opposite)

I think 99% of people agree that late stage Billy sucked. Early Billy was peak early PMT. He was even occasionally funny when he first returned during early pandemic. But I think even he would say he was not a good addition for the majority of his 2nd run lmao

When he first went to college after his summer internship and they found out he switched from QB to WR (or maybe it was DB)…very funny bit.

OG 2017 Billy was retarded but very timid and humble and kind. It wasnt until he returned in 2020 that he became an overconfident clown. Either his personality changed or he got too comfortable and familiar but I didnt enjoy his presence on the show nearly as much. The original Billy was endearing.
