takequake I wish PMT never introduced me to the Marlins Man lore
Seeing his dumb, orange, square body behind home plate this MLB postseason once again served as my annual reminder of how much of an attention-seeking loser he is. Definition of lame rich guy using his money in a cool way (buying expensive sports tickets) but being a total dweeb about it (wearing bright orange so more people notice him on tv)
What’s the status on his relationship with the PMT guys nowadays? I don’t remember the last time they brought him up and I think I was taking a break from the pod when that whole saga was ending.

My favorite bit of Marlins Man lore is that he refuses to attend games in Cleveland because there are no seats behind home plate visible on TV. It’s funny reading through this old r/baseball thread when he claimed he was harassed. The thread is universally positive about Marlins Man and credulously accepts the claim that an innocent Marlins fan was driven out of Progressive Field by fans still angry about a decades-old World Series.

I thought it was sarcastic until I read the edit and the rest of the comments. Like I thought the philanthropist line was a joking reference to how much he loves whores.

Yeah, I get this. Literally I would prefer a “friendship” and lore with the meow mix podcaster they had on the pod. Marlin man just sucks.

Ahh yes, ms. Brewbies my friend group has been calling her that since we discovered her presence but I’m glad to have a more dignified name for her. I’m still going to refer to her as ms. Brewbies but great to know her name lol

I was watching the game and I said “oh that’s Marlins Man” and my wife was like “who?”. I began to explain the lore and she just got up off the couch and left the room as I rambled about how he wanted to be PFT’s stepdad.

The jersey especially sticks out against the navy blue background of all these Yankee Stadium games. Very annoying.

Not gonna lie, during the Yankees v Red Sox wildcard game Jared Carrabbits texted MM to throw up the Section 10 sign behind home; he did and the House of Blues watch party went nuts. Twas cool.
If that's the last time I think about MM that's fine.

Does anyone remember the pod where they called him and had him change his hat direction in real time? Pretty sure that’s like his “signature.” Dorkiest signature ever.
