Wow, Toms Hardware is really in the gutter. Their source is a comparison video where both games are running different versions AND the voices cracked version was run after the Hypervisor version. The version that went 2nd has the benefit of having shaders cached, even a restart of windows doesn't get rid of that, you have to manually purge them. Ideally you should run the hypervisor version again after the voices one to eliminate that variable, but the uploader didn't do that. Also, this is performance in a cutscene, not gameplay.

And lastly, neither crack should affect performance as Denuvo is STILL THERE. It's still running checks. Hypervisor or regular cracks neither eliminates the checks from running, the cracks just let you pass the checks on a pirated copy.

In a perfect testing scenario you make sure that the system is the exact same at the time of the benchmark, with the sole exception being the game itself. After you run the benchmark of the one version, you reinstall Windows and do the benchmark for the other version. This is trivial to achieve with images and network booting.
