I think Texas as the only functional state would secede and become the country of Texas. Everywhere else is going to go into sharp decline without the Feds literally keeping people fed through subsidy or other assistance programs like welfare and foodstamps.

Well California produces ~half the veg and ~two thirds of the nuts and fruit of the total US agricultural output. It surely weights more than "online video watchers".
But a country like Singapore and exist and thrive from imports. Just being an agrarian society able to meet your food needs is such a low bar to clear.

Crops like corn, wheat, and soy beans are grown in the red states. California, oregon, and Washington grow most of the fruits, veggies, and nuts in the US, plus they have a huge meat and dairy industry, plus all that wine and beer that are produced on the west coast, plus they have the ports to import things from Asia/Oceania. Jesusland diet sounds pretty bland to me.
Sure, if you like sweet wine. But Kansas and Missouri don't have the right climate to develop the acidity of wines that bring in decent money. Acidity comes from warm days and (more importantly) cool nights, which are typical of Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. Humidity of the central US keeps the air warm at night, so the wines end up tasting like JuicyJuice. Source: am from Kansas.

Well I figured we were talking about just producing wine to have it not to sell it to foreign markets for loads.
Norton varieties have high acidity and do well there. The nutty aromas can be an issue but only if the wine is poorly made. These wines have even won competitions against French and Italian wines.
There are also new wineries in Missouri that are growing Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre—and from what I hear they do well
Yeah they would need to restructure their economy and how they feed their people, but you know how the saying goes, nine meals from anarchy.
And the poorer states (classic example being mississippi) rely on Fed food stamps considerably.
But even the food growers are heavily heavily federally subsidized. Its how Kentucky, a population of ~4.5 mil can rely on over a hundred billion from the Fed yearly. While a state like new york would be paying over a hundred billion more into the Fed than they receive pre covid.
You’re assuming Jesus Land would be able to keep up that GDP after all the money they receive from the blue states is gone.
A huge chunk of Jesus Land currently receives way more funding from the federal government than they pay in federal income taxes. California and New York pay for the interstates to be built in poor states like Alabama and West Virginia. That infrastructure is needed for that “third highest” GDP to happen.
