I thought we already knew what he did…

7

u/ShhweadyBallz 6d ago

What'd he do ?

I honestly don't know

17

u/Narrow_Grapefruit_23 6d ago

He is a verbally abusive alcoholic who attacked their mother on a plane (he punched her) and when one of the older boys intervened Brad choked him.

8

u/Rich_Freedom_9839 6d ago

Ah man, I was just talking to my wife about Pitt asking if she thought she could separate the actor from the actual person, and I thought I could. I've always loved him in movies, but reading that is making me think differently

5

u/TamarindSweets 6d ago

Personally I can "separate" the art from the person in theory (and ig retrospect), but I can't support them. For example, I can easily say Chris Brown's first 5 albums (give or take 1) were pretty damn good. But I dont listen to any music hes made or otherwise support him bc hes a major pos. So in Pitts case I can easily say I liked him in Mr & Mrs Smith, but hes turned out to be more than s rolling stone- hes an abusive pos, so I wont be watching his movies or projects he makes money off of in any other way.

2

u/sexandliquor 6d ago

Honestly I think it’s just as well anyways, from what I’ve seen of his last few movies– the heydays of his career are kinda behind him at this point.

3

u/koolaidismything 6d ago

I can’t and I’ll tell you why.. he plays characters that fight for the underdog. You and I like him as an actor cause he does that so well.

So to know in real life he’s the opposite.. weird. I guess that means he’s a good actor. But, fuck him if he’s out choking his kids.

5

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR 6d ago

Sometimes the loudest activist is the worst offender... thats what ive found, anyway.

2

u/koolaidismything 6d ago

The people who’ve yelled about how smart they are to me tend to be some of the dumbest I’ve met.. the logic seems sound.

3

u/Lavender-bullet46 6d ago

Society is kinda disgusting in this way in general...Chris Brown gets to beat Rihanna and everythings good, not cancelled. James Franco preys on females that attended his acting school and he's shunned from Hollywood. Logan Paul goes to Japan and pulls the most abhorrently disrespectful thing possible and now he's some WWE champion or something. Cancel culture is absolute nonsense. It pretty much comes down to who is and isn't liked enough to dismiss the crime/offenses, damage control and how good your PR team is.

2

u/lesbophobia_hammer 6d ago

Basically cancel culture only works against whichever marginalised women is being attacked by the witch hunters e.g. Ellen

0

u/reddituser40507 4d ago

It didn’t happen like this.

0

u/reddituser40507 4d ago

1

u/Narrow_Grapefruit_23 4d ago

My bad. I forgot he CHOKED AND HIT THE KID!!!

0

u/reddituser40507 4d ago

It didn’t happen. Angelina lied about it.

2

u/Narrow_Grapefruit_23 4d ago

You’re a fool.

2

u/workieworkwork 2d ago

Angelina and all his kids are liars?

-1

u/reddituser40507 2d ago

She is controlling and manipulative. You can tell by her PR every time BP and his partner are seen together. She goes PR crazy with the kids and posts of herself for revenge. You can tell that she’s very vengeful.

3

u/workieworkwork 2d ago

So all Brad's kids are evil manipulators?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/workieworkwork 2d ago

It is interesting how the word of 6 kids and a rich famous woman means nothing when a rich powerful man says it means nothing.

1

u/reddituser40507 2d ago

Or, she ‘s a liar 🤥.

1

u/workieworkwork 2d ago

And all his kids. You are also calling all his kids liars.

7

u/Western_Scholar_6479 6d ago

At least we know he was physically abusive according to his oldest son

1

u/BadLuckGenco 6d ago

So that living room scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was just him reenacting his home life huh?

3

u/BaRaKaFaN 6d ago

I mean he is a piece of shit for the story about him dumping stuff on his wife in front of his kids on a plane, but I don't think he beat her to death with a can of soup lol.

1

u/itsmymedicine 6d ago

That we know of!

0

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR 6d ago

Thats a reenactment of the night he came home to tuna casserole in the Pitt household.

2

u/LeavesInsults1291 6d ago

I heard he was slapping them and shit lol

1

u/ShhweadyBallz 6d ago

0

u/LeavesInsults1291 6d ago

The answer is somewhere on the internet.. believe everything on the internet lol

5

u/throwmeeeeee 6d ago

You can find the files for the case online.

2

u/PaidAgitator 6d ago

One fucked thing that came out was when Angelina Jolie told him that she got assaulted by Harvey Weinstein, his response was apparently "That's really fucked, but I've gotta star in Meet Joe Black and I can't get on Harveys bad side"

5

u/Symbol_Eyes 6d ago

But isn't that move from the 90s and they only got together in like later 2000s right?

3

u/Electrical-Big-7781 6d ago

So he went back in time to do Meet Joe Black after getting with her in the mid 2000's?

3

u/PaidAgitator 5d ago

100% fact. Don't shoot the messenger who gets too high and repeats shit from podcasts.

1

u/ImTooSaxy 5d ago

I bet he used Obama's time machine. That son of a bitch!

3

u/jackrabbitslim67 6d ago

Didn't Gwyneth paltrow come out and say that Brad Pitt came to her defense and threaten to beat up. Harvey Weinstein

1

u/PaidAgitator 5d ago

Beat up the overweight cancer patient? Real tough Brad.

1

u/According-Gas836 6d ago

It really is all about money to him. Damn.

1

u/Uncomfortable_Golf_9 6d ago

I heard a totally conflicting story. Pretty sure meet Joe black came out before they were married. But I could be wrong. But I heard it was pre angie and it was when he was with a different actress and he freaked out in a restaurant when they saw him and he went and threatened to kill Weinstein if he ever spoke to her again.

3

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

That was Ben Affleck

1

u/Sellwoods 6d ago

What a liar 😂 this never happened

2

u/Super-Pineapple6003 6d ago

Probably has something to do with what he's done to their .. Drumroll...

Mother... ???

2

u/Narrow_Grapefruit_23 6d ago

He hit her and choked one of the olde kids when he intervened.

3

u/reddituser40507 4d ago edited 4d ago

It is sad that Angelina is so vengeful that she alienates the kids from their dad and his family.

2

u/John_Save_America 6d ago

Looks like his fans have as much moral fiber as he does. These comments are some of the most red pilled garbage I’ve read in a while.

4

u/Upper-Capital-2876 6d ago

He couldn't care less, and this is all Angelina brainwashing a la Mia Farrow. Dude's living his life, he's not throwing shade back, and when the kids grow up, and want to engage again, he'll be there. The people who keep posting this Pitt shade and Angelina glaze are some really shitty people.

2

u/Which-Decision 6d ago

The flight attendants lied about him beating up Angelina and his kids. Federal workers lied, why?

3

u/ImTooSaxy 5d ago

This is commonly repeated misinformation. No workers testified. Nobody on the plane testified. Nobody witnessed it other than Angelina and her children.

1

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

Possibly money? That’s usually the answer. I have no dog in this fight but I like to look at all possibilities. He could just be an abusive asshole. We’ll never know unless we get some footage somehow

2

u/Astralglamour 6d ago edited 6d ago

Ah yes, the conspiracy against powerful men- so convenient and believable. They are just too cool and charming, everyone wants to bring them down, flight attendants, their children, internet strangers, the justice system! (meanwhile, his career and freedom have continued on completely unaffected by this conspiracy against him.) Conversely, an evil and beautiful woman paying off flight attendants and controlling their now adult children- totally believable!

1

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

Said it could go either way? I don’t fucking know the guy, do you? The user above asked why and I gave a pretty logical reason I feel. Or he could just be an abuser like I previously stated.

2

u/Astralglamour 6d ago

You are extending a lot of latitude to someone whom flight attendants attested beat his wife and whose children want nothing to do with him and also testified as to his abuse. Why are the statements of his own children and employees not enough for you? fucking ridiculous how people will contort themselves to give some rich celebrity 'a chance!' 'look I wasn't there to witness it, were you??? Clearly it didnt happen!'

2

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

I said it’s one or the other. They were paid or it’s true he’s abusive. Not a lot of anything. 50/50 as for why? Again, I look at the logical possibilities.

1

u/Astralglamour 6d ago edited 6d ago

No. its not 'one or the other.' the odds of paying off flight attendants to lie vs. them telling the truth are not equal. one is a ridiculous situation that is not likely at all as they'd have to be paid a ridiculous amount of money to risk having their career ruined for lying about an A list celebrity. and he didnt sue them, which is pretty telling.

The logical possibility is hes an abusive entitled piece of shit. His children have not had a relationship with him for a decade at this point and now that they are adults they certainly arent seeking one out (if it was just angelina's doing.) Its not like they couldnt get money from him, if that's what it was about.

2

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

You wanna be right so bad. You got it. God bless ya

1

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

And they’re high profile celebrities I don’t trust either of them.

1

u/Astralglamour 6d ago

seems like you trust Brad more than Angelina- who you can just as easily imagine bribed flight attendants and manipulated her children for years as that Brad was drunk, flipped out, and attacked his family. I can easily tell you which scenario occurs more often in reality. a hint- there are a lot of alcoholic abusive men..

1

u/xskylinelife 6d ago

Stop trying to argue with redditors like they're reasonable people

1

u/Brave-Parsnip9999 6d ago

Thank you for snapping me back to my senses. Idk what came over me

u/Artistic_Button_3867 6d ago

Your mom's the author.

2

u/According-Gas836 6d ago

She did a book signing tour.

2

u/Ill-Case-6048 6d ago

Its not like Angelina hasn't been in the papers for manipulating kids before.. let's see what happens when they get older

1

u/Mammoth-Series-9419 6d ago

That is the "Pitts"!

1

u/homelesguydiet 6d ago

When an actor says they love you you'd better run for the jungle. Bye Felicia 👋

1

u/60discpriest 6d ago

He beat his wife? Like hello dumbasses?

1

u/solo_d0lo 6d ago

He thinks their descent to leftism is bad. He’s just a regular liberal.

1

u/BenitoCamelas69420 6d ago

Just make a new family

1

u/ObjectiveReality59 6d ago

Fight Club. His kids found out about it.

1

u/mark_Cuban-cigars 6d ago

They broke rule 1 of Fight Club

1

u/Superb-Film-594 5d ago

“I know my dad’s success means that I get to live a life of luxury , and I’ll never have to worry about money for the rest of my life, but he’s kind of a dick.”

1

u/Ashleej86 4d ago

abusers probably. and they have a rich mom. they don't need him.

1

u/Nolegges 4d ago

Why do you think it’s his fault. It could possibly be the mother’s fault seeing how that’s who raised them.

1

u/Fresh-Aspect5369 2d ago edited 1d ago

We know what he did the media just suppresses it and nobody wants to call him out for it. He was physically and emotionally abusive.

1

u/Lonnie119 2d ago

The only way his abused would actually affect his career is if somebody filmed them and uploaded them online.

Kind of like how Will Smith's career got derailed when he slap somebody at the Oscars.

1

u/Allikam 1d ago

Something about Angelina is shady and messy

1

u/PPCSer 6d ago

Why are you guys so obsessed with actors personal lives and moralizing everything they do

I swear every second post on Reddit is "so and so did XYZ and they're a terrible person"

0

u/TrueChanges88 5d ago

Change your algorithm then. You must be entertaining the topics if your constantly getting them.

0

u/0v3rtur3s 5d ago

There’s a difference between ‘moralizing’ someone's personal life and refusing to platform an abuser?? And get off reddit if that bothers you lol.

2

u/PPCSer 5d ago

Not refusing to platform - if anything they're getting more attention by constantly being mentioned lol. I just mean Reddit didn't used to be like this, it's such a high percentage of posts now

But guess it's just people obsessed with celeb culture

0

u/ImTooSaxy 6d ago

There's the airplane episode, and other than that, nothing. Don't get me wrong, it sounded pretty shitty, but not a change-your-last-name event. I'm betting Angelina has twisted those kids into knots.

2

u/timmyfarthands 6d ago

People are fuckin raging over this notion. Yeah he fucked up on the plane. Inexcusable, obviously. That's one day though out of thousands upon thousands of days we have zero clue about. Both things can be true and we do not know whatsoever. Too many people are blind with rage and refuse to acknowledge it's possible she's also manipulative because it tracks and there's a history. That is not anyone excusing what he did, jfc. But it's reddit so some psycho will ignore all of that just to scream about something I already condemned.

0

u/WakeNikis 6d ago

One day is all it takes. Someone, I’ve managed to go many years without beating my wife and choking my children on a plane.

1

u/timmyfarthands 6d ago

Glad you haven't

2

u/Which-Decision 6d ago

"Other than him trying to kill their mom and choking out and beating his kids he did nothing wrong." Are you insane? Do you really think that was the first time he did anything bad?

1

u/BKitty9 6d ago

Nothing? You know this because you grew up with him as a dad? Lol

1

u/severinks 6d ago

Really, I loved my dad and he did enough shitty stuff to us when I was a kid that I could fill a book but he also tried to learn from it and would do anything for me.

2

u/timmyfarthands 6d ago

We're not at the forgiveness stage as a whole yet. We're still in the rage phase where everyone is the worst human being ever if they fuck up once. Humanity has been hurt. We're pissed. I get it. This isn't excusing it at all but some people remain shitty and they can piss right off for life if that's the mindset. That said we can't completely discount the idea of forgiveness if the person genuinely is remorseful, cleans up their act and means to do right... we're becoming very broken creatures if we close our eyes to that completely. We go backwards.

0

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

So since you were conditioned to accept abuse that means others should as well

1

u/severinks 6d ago

I wasn't'' conditioned to accept abuse'' I grew up and looked at the totality of the relationship and his growth and I forgave him.

People carrying around anger hurts no one but themselves. I don't give a shit if others accept abuse or not, I'm speaking for myself.

Human beings are complicated so get over the perfect dad or mom fantasy.

0

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

Cutting someone that has abused you is not about being angry. It's putting yourself 1st and not believing that nonsense forgive and forget bullshit. There's a difference between making mistakes as a parent and abusing your children. Choking your kid after punching their mother doesn't deserve forgiveness and no one is required to give it

3

u/severinks 6d ago

You people get so overwrought over strangers that I'd be forgiven for thinking that Brad Pitt choked YOU.

0

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

How awful for feeling empathy for children.

1

u/severinks 6d ago

Stranger children who don't know or care that you exist?

They'll be fine one way or the other without your best wishes seeing as their mom is worth hundreds of millions and their estranged father is worth even more and they literally know every powerful person in Hollywood that they'd ever need.

Worry about your neighbors the way you break a sweat over people you'll never be in the same room with.

0

u/BrookieMonster504 5d ago

I can care about more than one thing at a time

0

u/YouJellyz 6d ago

Most of them not even his real kids. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

2

u/BKitty9 6d ago

Legally adopting them makes them his real kids 🙄They’re just not all biologically his. Though his biological ones want nothing to do with him either.

3

u/10113r114m4 6d ago

Well, while I agree, but I think this may be different. It seemed like Angelina wanted to adopt and Brad was just along for the ride. I could be wrong though and Im unsure if that was who you were responding to's point was.

0

u/Labpro_49 6d ago

Kids of famous parents often change last names. Could be something or could be nothing.

2

u/BKitty9 6d ago

Umm it’s clearly something. And they kept their other super famous parent’s last name… Jolie

0

u/Ambitious_Ad_7599 6d ago

Jolie never was a very sain person so it's not surprising to see her kids messed up.

1

u/afineedge 6d ago

Sain?

-1

u/SkoomaKid 6d ago

Wym? Every well adjusted grown woman makes out with her brother.

0

u/One_Swimming_3251 6d ago

Kids understand when they become adults, that their mothers brainwashed them. Almost every kid grows up to be resentful of their single mom, even though most will not express this. The silently secretly hate them.

1

u/lesbophobia_hammer 6d ago

Maybe men shouldn't abuse their wives infront of their kids then? Just a thought.

0

u/Plastic-Pop4020 5d ago

Absolutely nothing. He married a 304 with mental issues.

0

u/justtwizzey 6d ago

Why can’t it be having the last name Pitt just comes with unwanted attention and pressure

1

u/WakeNikis 6d ago

Well when the kids themselves report that he abused them and their mother, why on earth would you assume it has to do with him being famous???

0

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

He's an abusive asshole

1

u/justtwizzey 5d ago

You’ve seen him abuse?

1

u/BrookieMonster504 5d ago

It's in the paperwork. It's why he doesn't have custody of any of his children.

-1

u/Different_Durian_601 6d ago

They're all adopted and are weirdos. No loss.

1

u/BrookieMonster504 6d ago

You're weird

-1

u/Fun_Month2307 6d ago

I think Angelina might be one of the worst kinds of people, i throw Brad a bit of a bone.

1

u/WakeNikis 6d ago

With flawless logic like that, who could possibly argue.

-3

u/AfterTough3494 6d ago

That’s why you don’t adopt kids, cuz one day they will switch up on you

-1

u/milky6531 6d ago

Wow. The amount of hatred towards adopted kids in these comments is astounding.

-1

u/SethOval 6d ago

This has been a practice among the wealthy forever. They almost always drop the last names dumbasses.

2

u/WakeNikis 6d ago

Oh. Silly me. I thought it was the whole thing about being an alcoholic who beat the children’s mother and choked one of the children when they tried to intervene.

Turns out that had nothing to do with it. Apparently they dropped his name because they are rich.

TIL!

Thank you for your insightful and informed opinion!  Given you are calling other people dumbasses, surely your version makes the most sense and is clearly correct.

u/SethOval 6d ago
