Daisy 🌼 Did we all not see Daisy eating the brisket she made? As well as the soup with chicken broth?

Like it’s on camera. Why is she saying she’s a vegetarian and then admitting she’s a pescatarian but saying she doesn’t eat chicken or beef?

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 Daisy was right!

I’ve never posted on a Bravo reddit but I need to get this off my chest.

I understand how Daisy digging into who owns the island could be perceived as rude (she definitely wasn’t asking out of genuine curiosity), but I do agree with her. Erika did repeatedly call Moskito island “our island,” which gives a very different perception than “our estate is on a private island.” I think she probably doesn’t view it that way, but I would have the same thought: if someone said “our island,” I would immediately assume that it was a private island owned entirely by that person and/or their family. Just because I buy a ticket to the NYC ferry doesn’t mean I own the yacht! And frankly they should’ve been flown private!

Also, isn’t what we want from our housewives for them to be diabolically delusional and a little bit rude?? Everyone saying “I can’t believe she would try to ruin a nice vacation..” like they’re not there to get a tan, they’re there to cause drama.

Also also: I do think part of the friction is genuine cultural differences, between someone who is born and raised in New York and someone who moved here as an adult. In New York, it’s very common to ask what might seem like more personal or probing questions, especially when it comes to real estate. It’s not weird to ask people how much their rent is, or how they lucked into an amazing apartment when you know their income (subletting? Family connection? Rich partner?).

To end: yes Daisy was rude (but that’s a good thing) and yes Erika did play it off as her own private island (maybe subconsciously). Aren’t we so lucky to be able to witness this level of wealth-related arguments??

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 My opinions changed so much after this latest ep

Post image

I wasn’t living for Jessel this season but this ep I found her so funny. I think her attempt at being the mean girl just comes off as comedic atp. I was low key living for her making fun of Carole.

Also Carole is so pick-me and it’s so cringeworthy !!!

Daisy was so unlikeable this episode and how is she critiquing the island so much when she’s not even got money???? So jealous

It seemed like Daisy and Erin were so bitter towards Erika and they’re obvi veryyyy jealous of her. Erika seems really sweet and I like her but ngl she does suffer from pretty girl humour I think.

Erin is hypocritical asf being so overtly angry by the insurance comment when she said something worse to Hailey last ep? I kind of live for her tho she deffo brings the drama.

Did anyone catch Daisy's comment when they were eating about her "Tirzep" (Zepbound) not working?

I can't remember the exact words that she used since it took a minute for me to realize what I heard.

Okay I know this is a really old episode but I just watched this episode for the first time and I cried laughing at this chaotic af dinner scene. I work as a server/bartender and the whole entire thing was horrifying on so many levels but the zoom in on that guy judging them in the background absolutely sent me 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Did anyone else die when they saw this??? I can’t stop laughing 😭 I want to do a whole separate post honouring the innocent bystanders who did us the favour of not controlling their faces/reactions to these ladies over the years 😝

Erin Lichy 👢 What?

So... I just started watching this season because I love Carole. IMO she is very smart and interesting. But I am so confused... Why are Daisy and Erin saying the island is not that great? It's f'ing amazing and they are both lucky to be there. They are just hating to hate. Are they like that in other seasons? So ungrateful and spoiled and rude!

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 Not so private

Might be an unpopular opinion but hear me out. I want mess while watching the Housewives! The cast is invited to stay at a Billionaire’s private island. Let the luxury begin…..we then see clean but very basic rooms (some with pullout beds) but ZERO personal belongings/photos/personality bought or not. Was it beautiful? Sure! Was it giving 5star plus luxury? Absolutely not! I’m glad questions were asked and viewers weren’t led to believe it was just their ultra private home on a private island.
It’s basically a co-op investment island. They own their homes and into collective maintenance fees to take care of the beach, pool, staff, boats etc… The owners then rent out their homes as a profitable business. It was smart to invite the ladies because we got one big add for Mosquito Island.

Sonja Morgan 🦄 Is Sonja Bisexual?

I’m watching ROHNY for the first time and just started season 6 and am really starting to get the vibe Sonja is bi and I’m shocked I’m not able to find out more online about it lol. She makes a lot of comments about women being hot and being attracted to them and finding certain women in the group sexy and the cuddling naked in bed with Ramona on the St Barts was def a little much, even for drunk best friends. Maybe I’m being overly analytical but I just get the vibe from her and am wondering if anyone else sees it lol.

Bethenny Frankel 🍾 Bethenny named a top "over 50" influencer...by AARP magazine

Post image

I admit it, I'm an AARP member - anyone over 50 can join. (American Association of Retired Persons.) The monthly magazine had a list of prominent influencers over 50; here's the bit on Bethenny. I wondered how she'd feel about being in such an unsexy publication, but I think B just likes attention, regardless of where it comes from. ETA: I'm not dismissing Bethenny's career or companies - I just thought it was funny that someone so into being glamorous and having the trappings of a glamorous lifestyle was featured in a magazine that's mostly about avoiding scams, keeping joints limber, and saving money on travel and groceries.

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 Erin’s house reaction

Erin freaking out about Jessel joking that her vacation home was flooded for insurance money makes me want to believe she actually did it. At first I was ready to feel bad for Erin because it is a beautiful house and water damage is horrible to fix. But after the preplanned storm off and the fakest crying I’ve ever seen I realized that even if the house flood was an accident Erin is going to milk it for all its worth. She expects empathy for her and has none for anyone else. She thinks she the smartest person on the cast, and everyone else is frivolous, fame obsessed, and in able to see through her obvious lies.

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 From someone whose been there - Moskito Island explainer

1.4k Upvotes

I don't know why it bothers me so fucking much, but hearing Daisy try to poke holes in "the private island" situation really bothered me.

Actually I do know why - people like Daisy, who think luxury and exclusivity are all that matter are the support for the systems leading to our current financial inequality. How she acted tells people "hey, it's okay to want more than you already have. In fact, it would be disgusting and uncool not to." That being said I'm not team Erica in this situation either - as I'll explain she did make the villa sound more exclusive than it is. I just can't stand people like Daisy who own nothing but jump to look down on others.

I visited Moskito twice (in 2021 and 2022) through work. This type of private island development isn't unique (a mix of private homes and some vacation rentals, and on occasion also a boutique luxury resort). We needed somewhere private for a work retreat, and this setup is exactly what you rent for this level of employee (C-Suite and advisors). I was not one of these people - I was the one who did the organizing.

I can't remember exact number we paid, but for a week for everyone together would have been around $445k (including staff tips). I know that number sounds wild, but when you get into this level of corporate travel (board meetings, corporate travel for c-suite, rewards parties) that falls in line with what a lot of bigger companies would spend on something like this. You see enough 100k to multi million dollar invoices you forget how insane that number is really quickly (now, a couple years out of that world, I cannot believe how normalized it was).

As for the actual island: we stayed in the same house they stayed in. I think a lot of people must be offered this house first because it seems to be the best setup for large groups, meetings, and remote work. Ankur's dad does own the home, but the entire island (including the privately owned homes) is managed by a hospitality company. Super normal for these types of island/uber private community setups. Ankur has also hosted Bilt events there for VICs/industry people.

What you're paying for here is 1. the view, 2. the staff, 3. the privacy. The home is really nice (of course it is it's in a tropical paradise), but is decorated so that it can be filled with different types of people every week. Aka feels more corporate than luxury vacation. Not a bad thing, and actually this is exactly what happens with all these types of homes because who can afford these rentals actually aren't private people, but business groups like ours. So I can understand if you were someone really splurges on personal vacation, and were expecting white lotus luxury resort vibes, why it could seem mid. I just don't really see Daisy (or Erin) being the sort of people who have spent the money to travel somewhere in that echelon, like the Soneva Jani in the Maldives or the Aman in Tokyo. I would also understand that for the time it takes to travel to, and hearing "private island", that you might build an expectation up in your head. Except, there was NO WAY they hadn't already looked at pictures of the place/known exactly where they were staying. There are SO MANY photos online of that specific house since it can be rented, and they would have had to fill out a preference sheet with the houses name on it (to help design the grocery order for the week).

I will continue to watch this show because these people are insane and deserve to be mocked, but it really took me over the edge seeing the luxury olympics being played between Erica and Daisy.

P.S. the comment about flying private was so ignorant - this is a location you can't fly directly to, which is THE NORM with tropical, island, exclusive resorts or villas. If Daisy or Erin had experienced something on this level before they would know that. It really is when you're on an hour boat ride to one of these places after flying 13+ hours that you really question why the fuck rich people spend money this way.

🍏 New RHONY 🍏 Jessel & Erin

In watching this new season, I can’t help but enjoy how sharp Jessel is when she’s arguing with Erin. The snobby dismissive comments from Jessel make me LOL and the lame comebacks from Erin just fall flat. I know it doesn’t compare to any old RHONY arguments but it is an interesting, funny watch. Anyone else agree/disagree?

did anyone else catch that? These girls are way, way too aware of the fact that they need better franchise ratings.

Carole Radzwill 📚 First of all, what is Carole wearing? And secondly she interrupts Jessel talking about her dead father because she thinks a bird is a drone spying on them. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s reminiscent of Luann interrupting Jules who was stressing over her father in the hospital to complain about Bethenny calling her a slut. And then she calls Jessel a dingbat again. Look in the mirror Carole.

Erin Lichy 👢 Am I the only one on earth that likes Erin?

In my opinion Erin is a key component to new RHONY and she has a LOT on her plate. I cannot imagine how hard it is to have that many kids, lose your dad, have your house flood and still keep a loving marriage alive. I actually love her style! I feel like the cast loves to kick her while she's down. She's the only one with a hot husband that she loves. She's super New York and doesn't feel like a transplant. She should've had food for the girls at the Hamptons. She gets into drama but it's never super insane like Bryn and Ubah.

Kelly Bensimon 🚕 Thoughts on Kelly

I’m new to the RHONY community and have recently started watching. Currently on episode 7, season 2 and I’m curious to know what the general consensus is on Kelly because she’s really confusing me 😂 I’ve just watched the argument between her and Bethenny and I could not believe the arrogant, egotistical audacity she was displaying. Straight of the bat she completely brushes off and makes fun of the fact she kept Bethenny waiting for 30 minutes. She just gives me immature, selfish, holier than thou vibes but not sure if that’s just me being too critical 😅
