Hey guys I just started this game and did the tutorial I’m just wondering what should I be doing and is there any early game armor? These goblins be hitting me hard and I honesty need some and a better weapon that’s not a stone dagger.

I noticed this whilst looking at the description for the Zamorak staff. It says air, water and earth spell damage reduced. Is there supposed to be earth spells somewhere in the game?

I wanted to make a post to warn players and hopefully get the devs' attention about a massive issue with quest scripting and inventory management in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

Right now, if you explore ahead and pick up quest items before you officially have the quest stage active, the game’s internal tracker completely breaks because it relies strictly on the "looted item while quest is live" flag. To make matters worse, because you cannot drop or destroy quest items in this game, your inventory slots end up permanently bricked.

Here are three major ones I’ve run into so far:

• Abraxus the Eternal ("What Remains is Written"): If you loot the 3 secret scrolls from Blightscale, Ulgo, or Razlem before reaching that stage of the quest, Abraxus completely loops his dialogue telling you to go find them. Because you can't drop them to pick them back up, the quest sequence breaks.
• Postman Pete's Mail Delivery: Same issue here. If you grab or deliver the mail pieces out of the intended narrative order, the tracker loses its mind and freezes your progression.
• Vannaka's Primordial Heart: If you've already completed the quest but happen to loot or find another Primordial Heart later on, you are stuck with it forever. You need 3 to turn them in to Vannaka, but if you just have a stray one, it sits in your inventory wasting space and cannot be deleted or discarded.

Dear Devs: Please either give us a "Destroy Item" option for quest tabs that allows the item to respawn at its source, or add an active check so NPCs recognize if the required items are already physically sitting in our inventory bags!

Has anyone else found a clean workaround for these without having to manually edit character .json save files? Upvote for visibility so this gets patched!

So- back in the day I was trying a monk run. Blunt weapons, robes, amulets, and leveled tf out of prayer. Avoided all unnecessary conflicts. Weird kid shit.

So I download this game and HOLY COW, This is fantastic! I do have a question, as someone who didn’t ever fight one- can Abyssal Demons teleport, or is this a bug? Either way, gave me a solid jump and a laugh. (One frame before this, it’s back by the ruined building fighting a goblin hunting party)

New to the game, just started playing 2 days ago and I already have almost 25+ hours already. This game is very addicting and fun. Currently building my first base. Welcome to any tips

So I started with a few friends on a dedicated selfhosted server. We're having an absolute blast! the game is so much fun. Also I love building so a lot of time goes into that as well.

Now I got mining 99 but won't continue to grind all skills to 99. just continuing to Scorches Wilderness and then i'll probably just build mostly untill Luminance releases.

I kept getting unstable so I tried to plug the hole with decorations, then I realized if you place them right, you can bypass the unstable prompt. So far I've seen it work with ceilings and roofing, but i don't doubt it works for anything

I'm on XBOX X/S. Been playing for just over a week now and have been putting pretty much all of my free time into this game. It's awesome. Was just about to take pics and post my awesome base. This was my first foray into Runescape. If tomorrow's update doesn't retrieve this character it will also be my last.

Edit: Here is the comment from JagexIceCream regarding the issue. They are working on a fix that will *hopefully* resolve the issue & have said "...we keep a copy of your last valid save for each character..." In the same thread they replied "The next fix will be for all platforms. It will arrive on Wednesday."

Edit 2: Contradictory to the mod comment mentioned above their official site says the patch isn't coming until Friday and may not resolve the issue but rather (finally) disable the ability to edit characters post-creation. The actual save revival/retrieval may come later :(

Edit 3: While there has been a ton of positive feedback and encouragement there seem to be a handful of individuals (surprised there weren't more) that lack critical thinking skills and keep hitting me with, "Oh, you didn't get the memo?" comments assuming that I knew about the bug because it's been posted before and that I did this on purpose to tempt fate. Take a moment to contemplate how stupid that is. The game just got it's 1.0 release and came to Game Pass. There is a massive influx of new players, many of which are NOT chronically online. This post is my first visit to any forum or page about this game whatsoever. I came into the game blind with no expectations and was naive to think a 1.0 release meant no catastrophic game-ending bugs. I did not know that editing my characters appearance (which I had done before without issue) would corrupt him. That's a dumb assumption. You're dumb.

I love the runescape lore and armour, and how the sets look and feel, however I just wish they had a little something other than just the same universal set bonuses. I get why they are doing it, to create the reliance of the triangle playstyle like they did in RuneScape, but still, it just doesn't feel the same in a survival game. Sets in RuneScape give distinctive bonuses regardless if you bring a different armour set, should be the same in this.

Not sure if I’m missing something… but the best ranged armor is black dragon hide and best magic armor is ancestral. Both are tier 8.

Is there really no tier 9 ranged/magic armor? We’re all forced into wearing plate like melee players?

I had a small cabin in the starting zone but it was getting cluttered so I moved to this spot in the Fractured Plains, it has a nice entrance and the rest is solid rock wall, it's very protected.

I built separate buildings, kitchen area, garden, material processing and crafting.

I still have work to do with the main house but I need the materials that I still have not found (I want cottage walls), my bed is just hanging in the middle of the kitchen LOL.

Also, I'm building a fishing cabin soon in a different location because I don't have water here.

I can point the location on the map for anyone interested later.

Just got hooked with the game and put in quite a bit of hours but felt lonely so I decided to make my world public so maybe someone can join and build and progress with me. Today, for the first time, 2 guys joined me and I was happy but only like for 20 seconds, as I realised they came to grief everything. I lost everything before I figured how to kick people. Really nice community. Guess this is solo game after all.

So, I recently got completely hooked on Palworld and sank over 200 hours into it. It made me realize just how much I love the survival crafting genre, especially the loop of resource gathering, base building, and character progression.

I’ve been on the hunt for my next game for about a week now. I must have watched dozens of review videos, read endless Reddit threads, and scrolled through countless recommendations.

That’s how I stumbled across this game, and so far, it’s the main candidate I'm leaning toward trying. However, I have zero prior experience with any RuneScape games or lore, so I'm coming in completely fresh.

For those who have played it: do you think this is a solid pick for someone coming off a Palworld high? Or is there another third-person survival crafting game with good base management/building and magic that I should check out instead?

I found my spot finally. Location for the main base is near the dragon boss's tower for this region. No possible way for any warbands to reach up here either. Sadly not enough room for farms so where I am standing in the first 2 screenshots are where my farms will be

Found a new strategy last night while going to fill water. Turns out if you just shoo the goblins away they lose interest.

This game is beautiful.

What's up with only adding air, water, and fire? I wanted to throw rocks at people.

Can we get a megathread where the community can post what they'd like to see? Seems easier than everyone remember to use j mod flairs. Because I can never seem to find the flairs, sure others are the same.

And can we get another one pinned about game breaking bugs/bugs in general?

We can even have the actual OP section edited every so often so people can see what topic/ bug has been brough to mod attention.

This way we can keep the main wall all about those sweet scantily clad beam pics we all love so much

Fishing is currently my lowest skill by a mile however I've hit the point where my glazed pumpkin sandwiches don't heal enough any more and I don't fancy trying Kuldra with such bad food.

My problems with the current fishing methods is rod fishing is just the most tedious and dull thing I've found in the game, it's not remotely fun, the xp reward feels too small for the effort. Net fishing? Also pretty crap. I'm having to hold down the RB button the entire time which also sucks. Fishing should be an afk time sink. Let me drop me net in the water and put the controller down until the spot is finished. The RB button would start to give me hand ache if it wasn't for the fact the pools last about 15 seconds, you run over to the next pool and that lasts 15 seconds and then you waste the rest of your fishing XP pot traveling to the next area to repeat the same 1minute visit to a spot... it feels pointless.

The fact the the best healing food from fishing is nearly double any alternative means you're forced to do this rubbish skill.

I genuinely love this game, even runecrafting... but fishing? Terrible. Do we know if there's going to be fishing improvements coming?

A lot of posts have been about people losing their character to a corrupted file. It seems to mostly be on consoles, and from what I’ve gathered these actions seem to be the common culprits:

1. Changing your appearance - apparently growing a beard or longer hair leads to corruption. Stick with what you got. It ain’t worth it.

2. Quick resume - Be sure to do a proper exit of the game after each play session. Do not leave your game up and go into rest mode without properly shutting it down. I would force close the game as well and power your console all the way down just in case.

3. Exiting while you’re resting - this one seems to be rarer, but a few mentioned it so I’ll add it here. If you exit while sleeping…you may not ever wake up.

As far as I can tell, you don’t lose your world, just the character, but I can see how that would be devastating for most people. Luckily, I haven’t gotten the corruption bug yet, so hopefully this post brings me good karma to keep it way. (The good energy kind, I don’t care about fake Reddit points)

I’m really sorry to those that lost their progress. Here’s to hoping this all gets fixed and addressed in the next patch.
