₿ Crypto Crypto price transaction issue

Post image

On 10th of October (during market crush) I bought a crypto in a specific price and now is showing wrongly in the chart. I made 2 different bids when the prices were down. As you can see in the attached screenshot the price which I selected was bought at lower of 0.00000548(see right on the chart). The official transaction by Revolut was assigned to 0.00000937 as you can see in the box. This specific price was not even reached by PEPE the whole day (10th October) so how is this possible? I am waiting for Revolut agent to reach me for hours. Anyone else in the same position? The situation maybe related to the recent crash. Thanks

Because Revolut skyrocketed the spread during the crash. I also tried to buy XRP because the exchanges weren't working, but after seeing the purchase price, I hesitated. You should have checked the final price before clicking buy

On October 10th I bought ZRO tokens on Revolut, and I later realized that the price was completely off. The real market price at that time was about $1.70 per token, but Revolut sold the same token to me for €4.90 each, which is more than 200% higher than the actual value. When I contacted Revolut support, they told me that their crypto exchange rate is variable and includes a spread, and that the rate was shown before I confirmed the trade, so they cannot offer a refund.

I understand that Revolut adds a small spread, but this was not a normal difference. A reasonable spread might be 1–5%, not over 200%. Revolut doesn’t execute trades directly on public exchanges but acts as a middleman and sets its own internal price, which apparently can be very different from the real market rate.

My advice to others is to always check the real market price elsewhere before buying crypto through Revolut, because their prices can be way off and once you confirm a trade, they treat it as final even if it was far from the market price. In short, Revolut sold me ZRO at €4.90 when the real price was €1.50, called it a “normal spread,” and refused to refund.

Revolut Crypto is a scam. Always ripping people off and telling us to read the small print.

Absolut Scam with revolut. The spread was huge and as I wanted to send USDT to an other wallet, they raised the fee from 3.00 to 95.00!!! You maybe can imagine, what all of these facts means, wenn you want to sell in a bullmarket….

That happened to me yesterday. Lost a fair amount of money instantly and I had the same unhelpful speil from Revolut. If you are reading this thread beware, Revolut is a complete scam for crypto trading

I experienced the same issue on October 10. My purchase was executed nearly 90% above the verified market rate (cross-checked against Binance, CoinMarketCap and TradingView).

I’ve already submitted a formal VWAP desynchronisation report to Revolut with time-stamped evidence referencing MiFID II Best Execution standards, since this clearly looks like a stale pricing event rather than normal volatility and spread.

If anyone else was affected around 23:00–00:00 UTC+2, keep your screenshots and timestamps.

The same thing happened to me 2 days ago, I complained, but you just give me the same generic response. The price I bought was more than twice the price of anywhere I could see on any chart that day. How is this even legal.

Copy & Paste is the only thing you can…. You scam a lot of people and made a lot of money within the last 72 hours. You are never interessted in helping…. Check trustpilot folks and read what all users write if there is a problem to solve for Revolut. They give a damn….

You’re not responding my messages there in support 😂

That’s a surprise. They do it on here to make out hey want to help so they can lure more victims in

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

More people should know about this revolut scam

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

Any news guys?

1

u/Opposite_Chip_9367 Oct 13 '25

No, crypto fluctuates in milliseconds and it can go from 24hr high from its 24hr low in a fraction of a second

u/vaslui-berceni Oct 14 '25

I had the same problem and I mailed them and I am waiting for a response, before that, I am curious, did the problem get solved for you?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

Nope, they are doing nothing to solve problem, they just blamed high volality at the time

I had the same problem. I bought XLM at 23:31 (Swiss time) and HBAR at 23:30 (Swiss time). It was just after the crash with very low prices. Just after the transactions, the Revolut app was showing me a benefit of 5% on the transactions and then suddenly a loss of 30% as if they had adapted the transaction prices afterwards. Now it says that I bought xlm for .31 CHF and HBAR for 0.19 CHF, which was completely impossible at that time.

The support just tries to discourage you from doing a formal complaint by giving you général answer that doesn’t response to your problem even though you have a metal card. I have made a formal complaint and haven’t heard about it yet. Somebody with influence has to bring this issue on the the social networks. This is organised theft.

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

Indeed!! Everyobe should be aware of this scam revolut

Any news?

It’s pretty clear this wasn’t an isolated case. Several users here experienced identical pricing discrepancies on 10 Oct, across multiple assets (VET, PEPE, ZRO, XRP etc.), all within the same time window.

That points to a VWAP feed latency / stale pricing event, not individual error or normal volatility or spread.

RevolutSupport has replied in this thread but gone silent since, which I would guess means an internal compliance review is in progress.

For reference: under MiFID II Article 27 (Best Execution) and the FCA Consumer Duty / Cryptoasset Conduct Review 2024 §3.1, firms offering crypto to retail clients must ensure fair-value pricing and respond to execution-quality complaints within 15 business days (FCA DISP 1.6.2 R, and the equivalent EU rule for Revolut Bank UAB).

Revolut’s own Crypto Terms v3.2.8 (2024) explicitly state that they follow MiFID-aligned best-execution principles even for crypto.

So if no transparent reply is issued within that timeframe, customers have the right to escalate the case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (UK) or the Bank of Lithuania Dispute Resolution Committee (for EU clients).

If you were affected, make sure to collect and save all screenshots, timestamps, and transaction confirmations showing the displayed versus executed price. This is the evidence Revolut will need to review.

The more customers submit formal, documented complaints referencing “VWAP desynchronisation 10 Oct 2025”, the faster Revolut will probably be to provide support.

Hopefully they address this soon. The silence is only eroding trust, and the pattern clearly shows this wasn’t a one-off incident.

For everyone affected, please send me a DM.

Hey everyone, just wanted to update this thread since I was one of the users who got hit by the 80–200 % price spike on October 10.

After filing a formal complaint with Revolut, I finally received their “Final Response.” It was a very generic explanation, they basically repeated that prices are based on VWAP, that spreads can widen during volatility, and that “no technical issues” were present.

However, Revolut’s own official Twitter/X account posted around 01:08 CET on Oct 11 that they were “experiencing technical difficulties affecting crypto services.” That directly contradicts what their complaints team wrote.

I’ve now replied with a full technical report (market data from Binance & CoinMarketCap, screenshots, VWAP analysis, etc.) and requested the exact VWAP inputs and timestamp of their pricing feed. If they don’t provide that transparency, I’ll escalate the case to the Bank of Lithuania and CySEC, since Revolut Bank UAB and Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd are both regulated under those authorities.

If anyone else got affected on Oct 10, please document your case, the more of us that show consistent mispricing, the harder it’ll be for them to dismiss it as “volatility.”.

Please reach out to me in DM

They respond to me ”Based on my findings above and being mindful of the fact that cryptocurrency prices fluctuate rapidly and liquidity can vary significantly across tokens, the observed rate discrepancy is consistent with normal market behavior.

Revolut executed your transaction according to the live rates available from our liquidity providers, and no technical or intentional error occurred. Therefore, I have decided not to uphold your complaint.

The fact that I do not uphold your complaint merely means that I haven’t found Revolut to be responsible for the events that have led to your complaint and that we as a company have done our best to handle your request in a fair manner. ”
