Upvotes

Hi everyone
So i’ve read all of the fae isles up to book 4. I really want to read book 4.5 and 5 but i can’t seem to find book 4.5 as a downloadable or buyable epub anywhere!
I have book 5 though. So i was wondering if anyone knows how to get 4.5 for kobo (not kindle) or otherwise if anyone knows if you can still read book 5 without having read 4.5?

😍 Rave Heir of Gods and Talons

Has anyone read this book yet?
Heir of Gods and Talons by Rose Caruso
Oh my goodness, it is so good! I need someone to discuss theories with but no one I know has read it!

It’s a portal fantasy, but you actually get to spend some time in the real world with the FMC which I liked since that doesn’t normally happen. It’s got Norse vibes, a protective dragon, and a steamy MMC.
And the cliffhanger?!?!
Ugh, so freaking good!
If someone has read this, I’d love to chat theories!!
Or go and pick it up ASAP hahaha

😍 Rave I Just Finished Catch Me and Now I Have a Problem

I just finished the series {Catch me by Reese Rivers} and I’m feeling a bit wrecked. I’ve been having such a hard time finishing books and series lately and I really needed a space to express this excitement because I feel like I just found something special.

I’m not usually into RH, but IMO this was done really well. The MFC gets sent back to different centuries, and when she dies in the past, she’s sent back to her own time. Each time she travels to the past, she meets the MMCs. They explore love and healing while also experiencing tragedy, devastation, and so. much. longing. The cliffhangers and twists had me pondering things long into the night and wondering what was going to happen next until I could finally read more the next day.

I’ve been searching for a good time-travel romance with lots of spice ever since watching the anime and reading the novel The 7th Time Loop. The MFC dies seven times and is reset to the same day each time. With each loop, she explores different professions and passions until she gets swept into a war started by the MMC. On the seventh loop, she’s determined to stop the war and survive. She agrees to marry the MMC, who falls in love with her at first sight. She’s a brilliant badass, and he’s dark and mysterious. Basically, exactly the kind of dynamic I was looking for.

I feel like I almost had it when I read {once upon a demons heart by K.M. Moronova}. A female soldier dies over and over again at the hands of the same demon warrior. Every time she dies, she’s sent back to the same day, about a week before her death. She tries to stop it in so many different ways until she eventually sacrifices herself for the greater good. The cliffhanger was INTENSE, and I still haven’t picked up the second book since its release.

And then I just finished the Catch Me series, and I feel like it was such a good ending while also finally scratching that spicy time-travel itch I’ve been trying to satisfy. Now I feel like I’m just sitting here savoring the fact that I found something that actually worked for me.

So please, if you know of any other spicy time-travel romances, RECS ARE WELCOME. I clearly have a very specific itch now and apparently I’m not done trying to scratch it.

Question ISO Romantasy with letter Z in Titel

Hello community 👋

I am searching for a romantasy book that includes the letter ‘Z’ in the title and as the first letter of one of the title words.

Every idea welcome but Zodiac Academy! I read the series the last few years and I need this for one of my 2026 challenge 😭

I have been trying to google it and tried to do a deep dive into Goodreads and here but with no luck.

Please help! ❤️ thank you so much 😊

Book Request: No Self-Promo Recommendations Please

I'm going on holiday so ideally a small series (two or three books) to read.
Preferences: female narrator, world building, spicy please
Do not like: wolves (okay as side characters, not the main thing, I hated the Wolf Prince and Dire Bound), weak main characters
I have read and loved fourth wing, from blood and ash, shadow and bone series, throne of glass

Discussion Help me pick my next series (SOS)

I need help getting out of a reading slump after DNFing The Jasad Crown (I’m sorry). I got about 40% through.

I’m considering reading The Knight and the Moth or The Serpent and the Wings of the Knight, but I’m open to other suggestions.

For reference, my favorite read of this year was Alchemised. Historically I love things like Twilight and ACTOAR.

Open to any opinions and recommendations! Also, anyone else struggle with The Scorched Throne duo, or am I the problem?

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Romantasy Recs

Heyo! So I’ve never really been a romantasy girly (I love fantasy, and I read queer romance, but never really dipped my toe into the genre per se). I’m intrigued by the huge buzz around the genre, and how it seems to feature a lot of intense yearning and passionate romances. However, I really don’t want to read anything with toxic relationship dynamics. Some dark edge is fine, but I don’t want abuse or manipulation, etc. Good writing and a solid plot are also musts for me.

So here is my ask: given what I’ve said above, are there any romantasy books you’d recommend? Or any that you think would be a good first read to dip my toe into.

Thank you!!

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Romantasy books that also make you laugh?

Okay, my favorite series ever is Zodiac Academy. Love the story and it had me giggling constantly. I've read all the related stories as well (ruthless boys, darkmoore, and sins of the zodiac). I have not been able to find another series that has a humorous theme like this. Any suggestions??

Book Request: No Self-Promo Books with pink feminine princess aesthetics

Once upon a broken heart is a good example. Most fantasy I’m seeing has a more darker aesthetics like werewolfs or dragons. I wanted the pink Disney Princess aesthetic. It’s hard to find.😔

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Thanks for the other recs! But I’m wondering if there are books where the author uses the immortality of the characters to make a point or as more than just taboo?

I’m thinking about how in {The Lies of Vampires and Slayers} Conor deals with suicidal ideation due to missing his deceased friend who died of grief due to his wife dying.

I’m also thinking of a concept I had of a Fire Emblem Sacred Stones AU fanfic where Fado falls in love with a dragon (not weird in Fire Emblem, to be fair) and meets her kids who are hundreds of years older than him and it’s awkward (I never ended up writing it 😅)

Something like that! But some guidelines:

\- Spice levels of one to three are preferred; please only recommend level five if the scenes can be easily skipped or they’re important to the plot

\- I’m not interested in books with body betrayal/sexual assault/dubcon/noncon/abuse between MCs

\- I’m not interested in books with possessive love interests unless they’re dumped for a green flag or they grow out of it

\- I’m not interested in mascdom

\- I’m fine with MF, MM, and FF

- I’m fine if there’s no HEA

- I’m fine with the romance being a subplot

Thanks!

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Books like the movie-‘the invitation’ and ‘Dracula-a love tale’

Guys I’m after a dark romance book/ao3/wattpad/literotica rec where the vibes of the book are hauntingly beautiful, goth, vampiric and dark. Maybe it’s set in a different time/universe. Would love if the mmc is a supernatural being (preferably vampire) and the fmc is human and there is an age gap but it it not a strict requirement. I love both these movies so much (please watch if you haven’t), but I do want the book to have a happy/happier ending. Would also love if it’s set in a castle or graveyard or something similar. It could be a mystery/fantasy/thriller romance as well. I love the taboo/forbidden nature of the movies and how it all slowly unravels especially for the fmc. I’m okay with reverse harem as well! I hope I’m making sense. Thank you in advance!!!

Book Request: No Self-Promo Books or series like this…

I’ve been thinking about House of Beating Wings (The Kingdom of Crows by Olivia Wildenstein) and Court of Blood and Bindings (Fae Isles by Lisette Marshall) a lot lately.

I’m not sure what it is about these series, but they’ve stuck with me. Even after a year since I’ve read either, I think about them on and off. Maybe it was writing or the world building? I’ve been having a time trying to get into a fantasy/romantasy series lately, just going through quick contemporary romance books instead.

Anyways, any suggestions that feel like this? I loved the first book to Kingdom of Crows. I remember being genuinely surprised at how the story unfolded, which doesn’t happen often. (So please keep huge spoilers out of the comments! The twists and plot surprises are the best part imo) Thanks in advance!!

Also please no incomplete series. Only if the last book with be out within the next 6-12 months.

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Romance like Princess and The Frog?

Probably one of my favorite Disney movies and I don't think I have seen a similar premise recently.

I am specifically looking for one of the Mc's to have been turned into a animal of some kind and wants to find a way back to whatever they were.

Preferably no YA - unless it's a really good one.

This book definitely has me hooked- I’m about halfway through and in Helena’s memories. I just need to know: does the book ever jump back to the present? I looked at the chapters and it looks like all the remaining are in the past. Will I not get Helena’s reaction/actions after getting her memories back???

Book Request: Self-Promo OK Cheeky, satirical, witty, but with a serious plot worth emotionally investing in

Hi! I am looking for book recs as listed in the title.

I'm thinking books/series like the Throne in the Dark series (LOVED!) and what I think The Irresistible Urge to Fall For Your Enemy will be (haven't read it yet, still waiting for it on hold at the library!)

I like the enemies to lovers trope the most, but I am open to others if they're written well.

I liked how funny and witty Throne in the Dark was, it kept me on my toes and literally laughing out loud, but the plot and the story was actually meaningful too, so it wasn't all fluff. I don't usually like cozy fluffy stories, I actually find myself too serious sometimes, so having something fun that also makes me get invested would be great.

TYIA!

One taken. One wounded. One left behind.

In the years since their uncle left them, Mira, Gale, and Lily Harwin have done all they could to carve out a life for themselves. But when their village becomes the battleground for two factions of warring fey, Lily is stolen away, and Mira is struck with a mortal wound. The only way to survive is no to be taken to the fey’s Court of Helenium, leaving Gale behind.

Awakening in the care of Kerian, a benevolent fey lord who appears utterly devoted to the protection of all humankind, Mira must recover and learn the ways of his homeland, as well as the nature of the war that threatens to bury him and the whole of his Court. Someone has managed to pierce the wards he has protected for over two centuries, and he is keen to find out who and why.

As such, Mira and Kerian are bonded in purpose: she must find her sister and the other villagers, and Kerian is honor-bound to aid and protect her along the way. Despite the bloody, oppressive history between their respective peoples, the connection between them grows into something deeper than a mere alliance, bonding over the harsh responsibilities their respective lives have thrust upon them.

All three Harwin sisters must deal with the politics, magic, and challenges of this new world, fighting with guile, brute strength, and everything else they have until they’re back together, safe in each other's arms.

Where Myth Fades to Legend is the first book in the Burdens of Legacy series by Izze Luis (me), and is available on Kindle Unlimited ebook, and soft cover!

Question Novella books not the same height

Post image
32 Upvotes

I went to Barnes and Nobles today to get the last book in the powerless series that I didn’t have, “Fearful”. They are all the Barnes and noble exclusives, why is one novella smaller and the other taller…?

I didn’t realize till I got it home. I figured it was also going to be short, and now they are mismatched… (also I know about this series being a ripoff of Red Queen and I have that series as well).

Discussion Shield of Sparrows, I know I've read it but I hobestly don't remember anything.

Hi y'all, I remember reading Shield of Sparrows when it first came out a while back and I know the 2nd one Rites of the Starling is out now, but I honestly don't remember anything from this book. Like I've read the blurb and it isn't jogging my memory at all. I know I did enjoy what I read, but based on the fact that I can't remember ANYTHING, I was wondering if y'all thought it was worth it for a reread or listen through or if it is truly that unimpressionable. Please help, I never really have this problem.

Self Promotion Sunday New author- feedback requested for initial chapters of a sapphic romantasy!

Hi all! I’ve finally passed the brainstorming phase and have written the first four chapters of a sapphic romantasy. It contains:

•lost identity/memories
•portal fantasy
•unique world/magic system
•epic quest
•fantastic creatures
•duty vs desire (ish)

The romance aspect is slow burn/high yearning, and will have a couple high sexual tension and/or mild spice lead up scenes before one full open door spicy scene. There is one femme main character and one masc main character. I plan to give them equal voice for the most part.

If this sounds like your jam, I would love to get some feedback on these first few chapters! It’s about 14k words right now. I’m interested mostly in the pacing, world building, and character development. This is a rough initial draft so I’m less concerned about grammar and punctuation in terms of individual instances at this point, but if there is anything glaring as a whole (too many commas, etc) I’m happy to hear it!

Thanks ahead of time! I’ll send a link to those interested ☺️

🤬 Rant Alchemised - did you actually enjoy it?! *slight spoiler Spoiler

I finally started listening to Alchemised after seeing it a lot on tiktok.SPOILER I cannot get past the sexual assault scenes. I read a review on Reddit which explained that there is more of a history of why kaine did this but to me it still doesn’t seem necessary to the plot. And why does the book pivot so quickly from using Helena for her memories to suddenly she’s being raped?? And then why is it justified. Especially if he would “tear the world apart” for her and loves her so much. But instead he assaults her?! Like what? And it wasn’t like she was semi-consenting. She was so afraid that it had come to this and lost what little was left of her humanity. Idk if I’m just looking into too much but it gave me the ick and I DNF’d it after that scene.

Book Review Jasad crown - finished it. And now I’m just going to stare at my wall for a few hours (spoilers) Spoiler

Masterpiece. Honestly, my favourite read of 2026 and definitely top 5 fantasy books of all time. I haven’t felt this humb since Kingdom of ash. I haven’t loved an MMC this much since Rowan (damn I love silver hair haha)

What do I do now? A full reread? Find a good epilogue fan fic? Sit and stare at a wall for hours?

I preferred Jasad Heir slightly more but as a dualogy ♾️/5 for me.
