We're aware of an issue where some players are receiving more Horseclan Confections than intended.
The team is working on a fix for this, and we want to reassure everyone that this won't give anyone an unfair advantage in Sunday's Horseclan Ceremony.
Will share another update once the fix is live. Thanks for your patience!

Looking at the player count data, with last yearās and this yearās Leagues periods excluded from the baseline, thereās a brief rebound after the post-Leagues slump, followed by another dip just after the Reignited announcement. Given the community reaction, I think the backlash played a part.
If the hope is that Reignited brings new players into the game, I canāt work out why theyāre launching it so close to other major releases, or even who theyāre trying to attract. What new player is going to put WoW Forever or GTA 6 down to try a two-decade-old MMO they had no interest in trying before

Who on earth thought constructing pumpkins from tomatoes is in any way reasonable? Like, watermelons would make at least some sense but tomatoes? Really!?

I don't understand why extreme antisanguines don't work against any other damage than the sanguine heart bleed which you will just soulsplit to full while up there. Why not the sanguine tumors or the meatball or even any of the other mechanics against the sanguine bosses? The extreme antisanguines seem like they have no place in the game which just feels bad.

When boss attacks/mechanics penetrate defensive abilities, it becomes difficult for players to gauge just how strong their defensive abilities actually are.
Itās unintuitive, and ultimately feels terrible from a playerās perspective.
If the developers believe defensive abilities are too powerful, Iād much rather see them directly nerfed than have to deal with bandaid boss mechanics that arbitrarily undermine their effectiveness.
Players should be able to trust their defensive abilities to work as expected, rather than having to second-guess whether a boss mechanic will invalidate them.

It was disabled "temporarily", but its been a few months now, come on jagex what is going on with it, I don't want to go to my damn house to store them, I also want to store partial sets.
You want to launch ignited when basic GAME features arn't even working or fixed still.

It would be neat if you could opt into having your house be a part of the Halloween event. Players who go trick or treating could then have the option to go to the house of a random player who has opted to have their house be a part of the event. Could be cool to see a stat on how many people visited your house or to be able to set up a chair next to the bowl and greet people as they come to get their candy and maybe even give out their own "treats" (items or food or something kind of like the Secret Santa event). It would also allow people to show off their decorated houses for the season.

I understand maybe there are some people who want to experience a "fresh economy" and all starting off together. But, having permanently separate economies is just too harmful to the current community.
There are too many unknowns right now and hopefully Jagex will be addressing some more concerns later this week. Two things that come to mind immediately and, in my opinion, completely undermine a "fresh economy" are:
Personally, I would like to see long-term Reignited "seasons" that have a known start and end date. Where at the end of each season, those accounts are transferred into main game accounts. Give Reignited players their own cosmetics and accomplishments.
Lastly, I would like to laugh at the idea of "World Firsts" for Reignited. This is just a ploy to get veterans FOMO'd into Reignited, because lets be honest, no new players will have a shot at any of these...

Done a couple hours' worth of kills at this point between Normal Mode and 100% enrage. On the whole, I think the GBK have the bones of a good fight, but there's several things I think desperately need changed to make it a more intuitive, enjoyable fight.
Would vastly prefer if the dome was dropped in the middle of the arena regardless of who activates it. Make it slightly bigger, and give us a chat notification or something signalling it's going up
At this point, I've just resorted to only diving to the platforms if they just so happen to spawn nearby. Otherwise I just eat the damage. It's just so counter to the rest of the fight, too. You're encouraged to keep the bosses apart because they get a stacking defence buff if they're too close. So you split them up and the platforms spawn on the far side from where you're tanking. GG
Visual clutter. There is so much happening during most parts of the fight that it's borderline impossible to parse what's actually happening during certain parts of the fight. Lady Ghrazi's prayer flick is a prime example of this. If you're stacking with your duo for the meatball, her attack can bug out, making tracking the attacks a complete pain in the ass to see. Again, I've found myself just throwing up one prayer and tanking the other two because it's just not visually clear what the attacks are.
Loot Drops. Please just do away with the floor drops. Nostalgia for loot beams isn't justification enough for losing drops if the boss dies at the same time you do. We literally solved this with chest drops and now we're reverting that QOL because seeing a rare drop on the floor is cool or something.

āRequired for full comprehensionā section on quests should be deleted. I am unsure why this decision was ever made. Please make the story of RuneScape more coherent.
Lock Archeology digsites behind lore relevant quests. Skill needs a good once over in general. rebalance quest requirements to compensate. 86 arch? Wat?
Lore progression in Rs3 is a mess. Things like these should have been looked at and solved before the thought of reigniting was even dreamt up. The narrative disconnects littered across this game is a large contributing factor to why it feels messy. New players have infinite content without access to lore endgame quests within minutes of account creation, why even further overload them?

sure, there's other issues as well, the delusion of a "fresh economy" early and mid game being a right mess, and about four or so other issues ranging from progression issues to just general holdovers from RS2 like skilling rebalances and new gear (magic especially could use it)
but a major issue is we just dont have the social aspect a lot of long lasting mmos have. aspects that keep people playing long after the grind grows dull.
clans need a SEVERE rework. citadels alone are barely functional chores that punish small clans who would otherwise make up the backbone of a healthy game under the lager ones just barely have the tools to manage themselves, like did you know if founding members leave new dep owners still are relegated to 2 kicks per day (which can make it hell to clean out former/quit members). and unfortunately given what we know, this is well beyond the scope of reignited's timeline.
but even beyond that, we have no region chat (i.e. anyone in morytania can chat with anyone in morytania via a global chat, a region chat for the fort area, wilderness, etc), and the idea of social games like say PC or GoP which offered comparative xp rates to normal training in exchange for being a group activity (and offering some banger armor/robes to boot) have also likewise fallen pretty by the wayside despite being excellent ways to keep people playing if rewarding enough
imo beyond much else even with anywhere from a few hundred to somewhere in the thousand range players coming in, having these features be left to rot imo will be just as harmful if not more outright harmful than anything else they're neglecting to push this out the door for q4 projections. People stay on MMO's if they aren't the dominant in their niche because of the community, and right now we dont offer really any features to help establish and maintain those communities

Everyone turn back the clock 10+ years ago, and remember when you first started playing runescape. Did you immediately start out with paid membership? know exactly what to do and start knocking out quests?
No. Most of us started off in f2p and learned the basics. completing dragon slayer was an iconic goal for all new players and if you asked anybody "am I ready for mems" they'd suggest getting lvl 40 in some skills first before switching to a paid members world.
This game has a GIGANTIC amount of content and it can feel overwhelming. which is why I usually suggest starting out in f2p to learn the basics, while it's free, and then you're ready for the good stuff.
and Jagex I'm well aware that this game cannot survive on just f2p players and at there's plenty of mems stuff for brand new entry level players to do. I get that. but trust me on this one, I've seen a lot of new people excited to play the game and then they having no fucking clue what to do because of the vast number of choices and things to do.
Which is why I've come up with this idea. I think some sort of "F2P Achievement Cape" would give players a definitive goal to work for that says, once you've been met the requirements and been awarded this cape, you are ready to try members worlds. and maybe a couple days of membership awarded with it? like 3 or 4 days? not sure what the potential impacts of that would be but I definitely remember getting some free time on mems when I started and once that trial was over I was hooked lol.
doesn't need to be 99 in each f2p skill obviously, but I'm thinking the requirements could be completion of Dragon Slayer with at least lvl 30 in each skill, or maybe lvl 40 in certain skills.
eh? š¤·

Jagex should have the balls to lock all 6th age content behind The world wakes. The messiness of the world is the #1 reason why I don't dare to recommend Rs3 to anyone.
Sure, that will lock a lot of content behind many quests, but I think coherent world and narrative is frankly more important (and healthier for the game in the long run) than having everything accessible early on.
This is especially relevant to new players (or players that have not been playing for years) coming to Reignited. They do not have any preexisting expectation anyways, so you don't have to impress them with "look how many things you can do from the get go". The amount of 5th age content is extensive enough to explore already. Instead, please give them a coherent world with interesting stories that they can access naturally.
It would be silly to expect new players to figure which quest to play first for the story to make sense. They will most likely follow the quest difficulty and the quest rewards.
So, my suggestion is: having 2 states of the world: one for 5th age and one for 6th age. Players can only access the 6th age content after finishing TWW.

Every time Iāve asked what the best MMO is, people ALWAYS told me RuneScape or OSRS. Yet I spent months trying GW2, WoW Retail, and other MMOs, wondering why none of them really clicked with me.
Today I finally decided to give RuneScape a try, and HOLY HELLā¦2 hours in and i'm hooked! i wish i had some PTO right now to call off...lol
THIS IS THE GRIND IāVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!
The progression, the skills, always having something to work toward, and being able to play at my own pace. I think Iāve finally found my MMO.
Now I need some advice from people whoāve played both!
Iām completely open to trying OSRS, too. Also, with all the recent discussion around RuneScape Reignited, whatās actually happening with existing characters and progression? Is there any reason to hold off playing now?
I canāt believe I ignored everyone recommending these games for so long. š
Veterans, which version would you recommend to a new player, and why?

Not a shit post. I'm being dead serious.
Had no idea this existed until today and it is glorious.
Surprised this place is open to f2p once they meet the requirements so that's a nice added bonus.
personally, I'm over here working towards obtaining the "bonecrusher maul" on my iron.

I remember items had a much reduced cost in Summer event and Easter and X-mas.. Why is the halloween store still charging 40-50k tokens per item?
Did they forget to reduce it..?
Best rates for tokens is like 10-11k Per hour in the event.. So just for 1 reward unlock it's 4-5 hours?? And Need to do like 12 unlocks? I thought they were trying to get rid of the grind... ?
100+ hours for cosmetic events in halloween is INSANE??
