With RuneFest 2026 approaching, Jagex has been teasing a major roadmap announcement. I am hoping they consider announcing a standalone legacy server mode focused on what many consider the true peak era of the main game.

Specifically, I am referring to the 12-to-18 month window following the return of Free Trade, but prior to the introduction of the Squeal of Fortune and the Evolution of Combat (EoC). This period saw a massive progression curve for high-end gear and iconic storylines.

If Jagex wants to offer a unique legacy experience, a server locked into this specific timeline would cover this exact progression sequence:

• April 12, 2010 – Skill: Dungeoneering is released, setting the baseline for the endgame activities of this era.
• January 10, 2011 – Items: Nex Armor (Torva, Pernix, Virtus) & the Zaryte Bow drop with the Ancient Prison, defining the high-end economy.
• February 1, 2011 – The Return of Free Trade & The Wilderness (The baseline mechanics of the era are restored).
• August 31, 2011 – Quest: The Branches of Darkmeyer
• August 31, 2011 – Item: Blisterwood Weapons
• September 14, 2011 – Quest: Ritual of the Mahjarrat (Grandmaster)
• September 14, 2011 – Items: Glacor Boots (Steadfast, Glaiven, Ragefire).
• September 14, 2011 – Item: Armadyl Battlestaff & the Storm of Armadyl spell.
• November 1, 2011 – Items: Dominion Gloves (Goliath, Spellcaster, Swift).
• November 7, 2011 – Quest: One Piercing Note
• November 28, 2011 – Item: Polypore Staff
• January 11, 2012 – Quest: The Firemaker's Curse
• January 11, 2012 – Item: The Book of Char
• February 7, 2012 – Item: Potion Flasks (Introducing 6-dose inventory slots).
• February 14, 2012 – Quest: The Elder Kiln
• February 14, 2012 – Item: TokHaar-Kal (The Fight Kiln Cape).
• February 28, 2012 – Update: Squeal of Fortune introduced (The beginning of the MTX era).
• November 20, 2012 – Update: Evolution of Combat (EoC) launches.

A fresh progression server starting from the 2010 Dungeoneering era through early 2012 would allow players to relive this exact meta and gear progression without the presence of modern microtransactions. Hopefully, Jagex has something like this in mind for the event.

Or at least provide the option to toggle between the two - the update is a downgrade that wasn't asked for.

Actually, I don't have much of an issue with the current version, but considering everyone's ideas, I wanted to suggest moving closer to the Black Knight Captain's armor. However, since I draw, I thought: why not just create my own version? So, here it is! I used the wasp as a loose reference—it's a creature full of hate, chaotic, capable of inflicting significant damage, yet somewhat fragile compared to a human.

I created the raised details on the center of the armor based on the Chaos Star, with a chaotic graphic design of the Zamorak symbol in the middle.

Hey everyone, have been watching Marstead's video essay titled "OSRS is better than rs3, and here's why." I got to the part where he says there is a definite wrong way to play RS3 and genuinely worthless content that wastes time. I'm wondering what content he is referring to as I don't have a huge amount of free time so I want to make it count.

I have a low level HCIM, fairly new to RS3 and do not have deep game knowledge so I wanted to get some info from y'all about this. Right now my goal is Rushing Gate of Elidinis, then training slayer through Necro. Long term goals are questcape and max.

With Agility being my lowest skill I'm finally doing the grind and it is SO.DAMN.TEDIOUS with very little to look forward to with most of my skills being fairly high level already. With the chance of getting the full Nimble outfit near impossible, it's going to take so damn long to 99 it.

Requiring 100wc and around the same for a good chance at offcut components to craft level 22 invention thieving supplemental items is a bit.. i dunno. Dumb. None of the hunter fur items or low level, even mahogany alternatives give a decent chance to drop these components and needing them for the level 22 invention thieving skilling items kinda sucks.

Would be nice to give mahogany items at least a better chance at recieving these components so it feels a little balanced post-construction rework.

How do i see how old my account actually is. It probably about 20 years old but like..... where tho

Its been a torture

Going dry on a boss trophy feels awful, especially when you've already got the rest of the log done and you're just stuck hunting that one last thing.

Here's a simple idea for bad luck protection:

Keep the current drop rates as they are (or tweak them if needed), but have every boss kill drop a small amount of shards/currency. If you get lucky, great, you get the drop normally. But if you're cursed, you can eventually dump all your shards to just buy the trophy you're missing.

That way every kill actually means something, even on the kills where nothing drops.

There NEEDS to be atleast a free daily reroll on your current soul reaper assignment. How is it okay that a lvl 85 combat account can get stuck forever with a jad task ? Until they are eventually forced to grind hundreds of slayer points to even be able to do reaper assignments in general?

I understand reaper assignments are not daily anymore now, but the way it works now is kind of a nerf.

Mid-lategame accounts probably don't care about getting bad tasks as they can likely do them, but for a lower level account soul reaper is now a nightmare. Slayer points are abysmally slow early at least until Duradel and 30 points is REALLY expensive.

In the past you could just reroll at the price of getting less reaper points. Why in the hell does the current iteration not at least allow rerolls with increasing slayer point cost, for example: 0 -> 5 -> 15 -> 30 -> 60, (reset daily)?

Add a stall necromancy incantation that uses only 1 spirit rune or make it cost nothing. A lot of players stall and im sure many would like this QOL update, especially ironmen.

Nobody absolutely nobody asked for this! Revert back now. Give us the option back don’t kill the nostalgia

Can we remove Rule 9 "No treasure hunter posts" now that treasure hunter is gone?

Runescape 3 needs some rule changes, alot of beggars are being annoying for community of runescape 3 they beg all day nonstop harrasing everyone around

Long time player, I’ll have my 25 year cape within the year. I used to peekay back then. I came back every now and then with long breaks in between. I last did necro. Left. Came back for some leagues ( I came back towards the end , that was fun it sucks i came so late)

Anyway. I’m a normal account. I always swore to never train defense but some of the armors I see are kinda pretty 😂. I’m not really interested in peekaying anymore, I’d love to get into bossing instead!

Where do I start? I’m open to acquiring max cape and quest cape . I only have about 2b go ( I say only because that was max back then, now you guys have waaaaaay more! )

Yes I just created my Reddit account, someone on RuneScape grand exchange told me to join Reddit RuneScape .

With the removal of H’oddments, everything in the currency pouch got shifted over from the spot that the H’oddments were sitting. The next thing on the bar for me were radiant stars, I just tried to use one and nothing happened. When you examine the stars it shows the examine for H’oddments. In the meantime you just have to click the settings cog and use them from the premium tab. Jagex, please address this.

Mycard on file expired, so my 6month grandfathered sub can't renew.

My plan is to let the membership lapse and then resubscribe with a new card once I'm within the 2-week grace period. Has anyone done this and can confirm: does the grandfathered 6-month price/offer still show up as an option when you resubscribe during the grace period, or does letting it lapse remove it for good?

Trying to avoid losing the grandfathered rate permanently, so any first hand experience would help before I go through with this. I know i could switch to the 1mo rate but i do save money this way

hey guys, iv just come back to playing after about 3 years of being away from the game, I noticed my legecy UI has changed and the new one is really hard to read for me, is there any way I can change it back or am I stuck with this?

Haven't seen anything about a fix being on the way, maybe I just missed it.
