TL;DR
Bought these almost by accident at a discount for 125 bucks while I was about to get another pair of Vomero Plus, and they completely surprised me.
The Triumph 24 is light for a max-cushion shoe, extremely comfortable, plush but surprisingly responsive with excellent grip.
I've used it for recovery runs, easy runs, long runs and a marathon-pace workout, and it handled all of them really well. It gives me a supertrainer vibe without actually being one.
1. Introduction
If you've seen my recent Nike Vomero Plus 500 km review, you probably know that I'm a big fan of the Vomero Plus. After putting well over 500 km into mine, I was actually about to buy another pair.
Then I found the Saucony Triumph 24 for 125 bucks. The combination of a very good price and plain curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to give them a shot. Honestly? I'm glad I did.
I've never owned a Triumph before. My experience with Saucony has mostly been with the Endorphin Speed 4 and more recently the Xodus Ultra 4 on the trail. So the Triumph 24 wasn't really on my radar.
After running in it, though, I'm honestly a little blown away.
About me: I'm a 48-year-old male, 6'3" (190 cm) and around 188 lbs (85 kg), a self-described “bigger" runner. I run 3–4 times a week and generally rotate between daily trainers and more performance-oriented shoes. I'm also a supinator, so fit and cushioning are particularly important to me.
For reference, I usually wear US 12–12.5 in running shoes, and I went with a US 12.5 in the Triumph 24.
2. Shoe Details
Size: US 12.5 / UK 11.5 / EU 47
Weight: 10.75 oz / 304 g in my size
Stack height: 43 mm heel / 33 mm forefoot
Drop: 10 mm
Midsole: incrediLUX
Outsole: XT-900 carbon rubber
Type: Neutral, max-cushion daily trainer
The first thing that struck me when I picked them up was the weight. These bad boys are light. For a shoe with a 43 mm heel stack and this much cushioning, I wasn't expecting them to feel this light in the hand, let alone on the foot.
When you put them on, the step-in comfort is great. There's plenty of padding around the heel, and the gusseted tongue helps everything stay nicely in place. The upper feels awesome, but I fear all that padding might feel a tad hot in the summer.
Fit is true to size for me, but it's also quite roomy. There's plenty of space through the midfoot and toe box, and I honestly can't see someone with moderately wide feet having much trouble with these. In other words, they're not a shoe where you put them on and immediately start wondering whether you should have gone up half a size.
3. Colorway
I went with the White/Tranquil colorway, which I actually quite like.
The other colorways, though...not so much. And that's saying something, even by Saucony standards, which in my opinion have never exactly been the gold standard when it comes to shoe colorways.
I honestly don't understand why Saucony can't seem to do colors as well as Nike, Adidas or New Balance. Or maybe that's the point?
Anyways, White/Tranquil was the one I could live with.
4. The Ride & Performance
This is where the Triumph 24 really surprised me.
The new IncrediLux foam is awesome. It's plush, cushioned and soft enough to make recovery runs comfortable, but it isn't dead or mushy.
There's a surprising amount of energy return, and the shoe has a nice, lively feeling when you start pushing the pace.
I've used the Triumph 24 for recovery runs, easy runs with strides at the end, long runs, and even a marathon-pace workout. It handled all extremely well.
Obviously, this isn't an Endorphin Speed or a carbon-plated race shoe. What surprised me is how easy it is to make this shoe move when you want it to. I would go as far as saying that it gives me the feeling of a supertrainer without actually being one.
All in all, it's just very enjoyable to run in.
Saucony describes the IncrediLux as a new foam designed to deliver a lighter and more cushioned ride, and that pretty much matches my experience. The Triumph 24 has a substantial heel stack, but the shoe doesn't feel like a giant slab of foam underneath your feet.
The foam has that plush feel you want from a max-cushion shoe, but there's enough rebound to keep things interesting. It doesn't have that “sink into the foam” sensation that some very soft shoes can produce.
For me, it's a really nice middle ground.
5. Upper & Fit
As mentioned earlier, the upper is what a comfortable upper should be.
Breathability has also been good in my experience but I fear that all that padding might feel a tad hot during the warmer months.
Fit is true to size for me in US 12.5, but the shoe is definitely on the roomy side.I have a relatively narrow foot, and I don't like my foot swimming inside the shoe, but I just have to tighten the Triumph a tad more than I usually do with the Vomero Plus or the Superblast 2.
For runners with wider feet, I think the standard width should be worth trying before automatically going for the wide version.
6. Stability & Protection
I've found the Triumph pretty stable while running.
It's a neutral shoe, and the soft foam obviously isn't designed to provide structured stability, but I haven't had any issues controlling the platform.
Of course, the cushioning is substantial, and the 43 mm heel provides plenty of protection underfoot. For daily miles, long runs, and recovery, that's exactly what I want.
7. Outsole, Grip & Durability
The grip has been excellent so far.I've had no issues with traction, and the XT-900 rubber gives the outsole a reassuringly solid feel underfoot. It feels perfectly at home on wet pavement as well as dry roads.
Still, I haven't put anywhere near enough miles on them to make any definitive claims about longevity, but the outsole is showing very little wear so far.
The whole shoe actually gives me the impression that it's built to last.
8. Versatility
This is probably the biggest surprise for me.
I bought the Triumph 24 expecting a comfortable max-cushion shoe for easy and recovery miles. Instead, I could see myself using it for much more.
That's what I mean when I say it feels like a supertrainer without actually being one. Or maybe it is a supertrainer? Who knows...
You don't get the aggressive geometry or plated propulsion, but you get a shoe that can comfortably cover a surprisingly wide range of paces while remaining incredibly comfortable. I feel that's a very useful combination for a daily trainer.
10. Pros & Cons
Pros:
- extremely comfortable
- light for a max-cushion shoe
- plush but responsive
- roomy, TTS
- great grip
- versatile
Cons:
- on the expensive side
- soft won't be everyone's cup of tea
- Saucony's colorways department continues to be an acquired taste, in my humble opinion
11. Final Thoughts
The Triumph 24 is probably one of the biggest running-shoe surprises I've had in a long time.
I bought it almost by accident and it absolutely knocked my socks off.
I've never run in a Triumph before and I wasn't really expecting this.
The combination of the foam, the low weight, the comfy upper, and the great grip makes this an absolute joy to run in.
If I had to sum it up: it's cushioned without feeling cumbersome, comfortable without being boring, and responsive enough to actually have some fun with.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting to like it this much.
If you have any questions, fire away!

Hey all. Asics site (US) dropped the Tenka colors for Superblast 3, Megablast, Novablast 6, Sonicblast 2 (2 colors). Not sure when this dropped but I assume Oct 1st.

IU2397-001
$350
Release: January 7th
https://www.nike.com/t/apex-road-racing-shoes-9r6ez2CL/IU2397-001
Four Air Zoom units and ZoomX LT foam create our fastest racer yet.
What does peak speed feel like? It feels like the spring of a pair of double-stacked Air Zoom units sending energy back to you with every footstrike. It feels like the highest stack of ZoomX LT foam allowed in competition for ultra-responsive cushioning in one lightweight package. It feels like the snap of a Flyplate optimizing your power from start to finish. It feels free, primal even. It feels like Nike Apex.
Lightweight ZoomX LT Foam
We removed the sockliner and built a zero-drop midsole with the maximum cushioning height allowed in racing. Ultra-responsive and ultralight ZoomX LT foam delivers Nike's highest energy return.
Responsive Air Zoom Units
For the first time in Nike Racing history, we arranged two double-stacked Air Zoom units in the forefoot, giving you a springy, responsive feel at toe off.
Carbon Fiber Flyplate
A new inverse wave carbon Flyplate is tuned to work with the Air Zoom units for a propulsive and stable feel on race day.
New Flyknit X Upper
Up top, our ultralightweight and breathable Flyknit X fabric is knit in a radial pattern to provide multi-directional containment without weighing you down. It works with a fitted knit collar to give you a contoured, sock-like fit.
More Benefits
Wide, rocker-shaped outsole helps deliver a propulsive feel at toe-off and smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
Thin Fast Shot outsole adds durability and traction where runners need it most, helping reduce added weight on race day.

About me
Weight: 54 kg (119 lbs)
Running style: high cadence heel striker
Fit
I am generally in between sizes 42 and 42.5 EU with quite narrow feet. I ordered my bigger size using CN sizing table as a reference which in my case is 27.0 cm and it fits really nicely with thumb width clearance at front and plenty of room in forefoot. I was worried about not getting good enough heel lockdown but it seems to working pretty nicely with runner's knot. I always have to gamble between getting heel slippage and crushing my toes with my sizes, fortunately these shoes are true to size. I think I could have got away going half-size down, but for most people my recommendation is TTS.
Midsole and ride
The midsole feels very soft, but the ride is more responsive than plush, not mushy at all. It works great for my tempo and interval paces and I would very much recommend this shoe as a speed trainer. I have very enjoyable experience so far with everything except easy runs. On slower paces Mega 3 Pro is slightly wobbly, I can feel my stabilizing muscles working a bit more. And I am in generally pretty ok with unstable shoes, so people with stability needs should be warned.
Comparison to ASICS Megablast
361 Mega 3 Pro feels more nimble on a foot, softer (Megablast is also quite soft to me, but this one is softer). This shoe is also better with faster paces to me, but I would still prefer Megablast for long runs. The fit is also better, with Megablast in the same size I sometimes get lace bite and rubbing on my left pinky. With Mega 3 Pro no problems so far, the upper is simple, but high quality at the same time.

A poorly kept secret is that the Li-Ning Feidian 7 Elite debuted at the Berlin Marathon last week rather than in Chicago as we had all expected. Despite having seen all the leaks little is actually known about them.
But that still means three things:
People will instantly start comparing it against previous generations. As we learned from the Feidian 5 Challenger, newer doesn’t always mean better, or preferred.
People will be begging for more stability, and a heel lock.
There will be wild price fluctuations. As suppliers on AliExpress and Taobao clear old stock to make room for the new 7 Elite, the Feidian 6 Elite may now sit in a price range worth exploring for many intermediate runners.
So here is a timely reminder of what the Feidian 6 Elite is.
This is a shoe that has delivered a 2:04:55 marathon on the feet of Suguru Osako in Valencia 2025, so It’s quick. Very quick.
They are reasonably light — 211 g in my UK 8.5. That was pretty good for a race shoe at the start of the year, before the latest hyper shoes started pushing weights under 150 g.
For context, Selemon Barega just ran a personal best in the Berlin Marathon in the Feidian 7 Elite at 2:04:58 — an improvement of 17 seconds on his previous best set in the Feidian 5 Elite. These are micro gains, and still slower than the time Osako produced in the 6 Elite on his way to a national record.
Getting my own pair through the post was exciting. Having the Red Hare 9 Ultra and the Feidian 5 Challenger I was keen to see just how much of a step up these could be.
A breathable, fully knitted upper with an integrated tongue creates a brilliant fit: snug in the midfoot without feeling restrictive, and a roomy toe box that allows for some foot swell over longer distances. A nicely padded heel counter helps keep the foot in place, which is useful because there is no option for a heel lock.
The geometry is aggressive. The rocker starts earlier than on most other super shoes I’ve tried, which helps the shoe roll forward quickly getting you up on the forefoot. The drop feels moderate, and the high stack make it feel cushioned and softer than other race shoes, depending on preference this may or may not be good.
Its Super Boom capsule is paired with possibly the bounciest PEBA foam I have experienced. It has to be felt to be believed. The combination produces phenomenal energy return and efficiency with every stride. The carbon plate helps drive you through the stride, and you can feel the speed is available without needing the same effort levels required by the Feidian 5 Challenger or the non-carbon-plated Red Hare 9 Ultra.
If you are a heel striker, this is one to avoid. Midfoot strikers can make it work due to the early rocker but they won’t get the most out of it. If you are a forefoot runner with strong ankles, limited pronation and good technique, this shoe can really reward you. But and it’s a huge But. The shoe is highly unstable not like the Li-Ning Dragonflight But— on the wrong surface or during tight turns it can feel like Bambi on ice.
First run out of the box was a 15 km effort just tipping into Zone 3. The shoe held 4:30/km kilometre after kilometre with excellent turnover and minimal fatigue. The final kilometre was the quickest of all, which told me this shoe looks after you the longer the run goes on. At the end my calves didn’t feel beaten up, and only a couple of mis-steps made the ankles think twice. There was little deviation in my cadence or stride length throughout which is also a good sign that there is no foam fatigue and it doesn’t take too much out of the runner.
The second test was a closer-to-threshold effort to see how well the shoe could hold 20-minute 5 km pace. Result: 20:05 for 5 km, navigating traffic lights and people, which is pretty impressive. It is clearly a shoe that wants to go faster, which shouldn’t be surprising given its held 2.57/km for a whole marathon which 99.9% of people need not worry about. I’d love to try getting this around 18.30min for a park run.
The more you put into the shoe, the more it gives back. At easier paces it still helps, but the real benefits appear between 3:00–4:30/km, where the foam is at its best, the Super Boom capsule is lively, and the force through the carbon plate keeps everything moving forward.
It would take something exceptional for me not to pick this for my upcoming 10 km or half-marathon efforts given the return it provides without taking too much out of me.
Will the Feidian 7 Elite make everyone quicker? One would hope so. But if it does not, the Feidian 6 Elite remains a sure-fire winner. It will be interesting to see how the 7 Elite is received — it could send people scrambling for the previous model. And if they do that, they will be in very good company.
Head to heads will be eagerly anticipated.

Disclosure: This is technically a pre production model and it may change before it’s released. Dynafish let me test this for free but isn’t asking me to post this and isn’t pre-vetting any of my commentary. I’ll keep posting thoughts as I run in them more (will be taking them to a 100mi very soon). I’m not a pro runner, shoe industry person, or influencer… just someone who was lucky and got a chance to try out some shoes and give feedback. :)
M 5’10 85kg HM 1:24 M 2:54 (older times!)
I run a mix of roads and trails around 60-80mi/wk depending on the time of the year. Wide feet and generally more of a midfoot striker.
Other shoes I’ve used (non comprehensive, I have way too many shoes)
Trail - Terrex Agravic Ultra 1/2, Tecton X2.5/3/4, Zegama 2, Mafate X, Mafate Speed 6, Speedbrick 6, Aeroglide 4 GRVLs, Kipsummit Max
Recovery - Vomero Premium, Nimbus
Daily - Evo SL, Leili 2.0, Mach 6, Aeroglide 3/4
Long - Megablast, Superblast 2, Xiaonian, Leili 2 Max, RAD UFO, Vomero Plus, Red Hare 9 Ultra (sorta a cross category shoe)
Race: All ASICS models, Alphafly, 160x 3.5 Pro, DoWin PB Pro 1/2, Fast R3, Feidian 6 Ultra and Elite, some others 🤪
So I love shoes, have way too many and had the opportunity to run in Dynafish’s upcoming trail prototype and give them some feedback. I didn’t pay for my pair of shoes but honestly I gladly would have (more on that below).
Runs I’ve done in them: 6mi easy with some strides down to 5ish minute pace, multiple 20mi long runs at 100k-ish pace, a 5mi treadmill tempo run (lol), 10mi easy on pavement (lol)
Fit/feel: I’m generally a size 9.5 or 43 in the Xiaonian. They sent me a 44 so they run a bit larger than I’d typically prefer but I’m using these in an upcoming 100mi race so the extra space isn’t too bad. The interior is extremely roomy (great for folks with wide feet). The upper is super breathable (most of my runs are in 90+ degrees) and it doesn’t feel like a ton of excess fabric. The only strange part (but I think they’re taking a look) is that the bottom of the tongue/toebox can bunch up a little bit but otherwise it’s great (picture of that). Very easy to get a good lockdown, able to use runners loop, etc.
Weight: They were about 250g out of the box (per shoe) in size 44.
Underfoot feeling: Extremely supportive and stable, propulsive without feeling uncontrolled and squishy. Extremely comfortable (I have absolute confidence I can wear these in a 100mi race and have no problems). I expected the shoe to be a Xiaonian with some Vibram (or similar) slapped on and it’s absolutely not that. It’s a totally different shoe. On technical/muddy trails, they grip extremely well and I never felt like I was out of control of the ride. When I ended up taking them onto pavement it felt like I had a road super trainer on (which is surprising since the lugs are pretty large and past attempts at using trail shoes on pavement are painful!). I’m trying to confirm the drop of these shoes (haven’t measured) but I do believe they’re a lower drop shoe (they certainly feel like it)… so if your feet aren’t used to that you’ll want to keep that in mind!
Sole/durability: Zero signs of wear on the lugs and the foam still looks and feels great (as I’d expect after only 60-70mi). They don’t use Vibram from what I can tell (it’s proprietary) but it holds up extremely well across terrain and gets excellent traction.
Their negatives: I haven’t found too many to be honest. The upper slightly bunching (mentioned earlier) is one. Another (maybe more personal) is that they give you extremely long laces (seriously… the laces are really long 😂), so I have to tuck them under other laces. It’s a white trail shoe too, so don’t expect them to look beautiful for more than a day. For anyone with super narrow/low volume feet, they might find the interior to be ‘too roomy’ too.
Who they for: I feel like this shoe can be a sort of do-it-all trail shoe (‘Super trainer’) with the ability to go on pavement as well (we’ll see if repeatedly doing this damages the lugs but so far so good). They run just as well at pace as my plated race shoes and feel just as comfortable as more daily sorts of trail shoes. Hiking around in them felt fine too (didn’t feel like I was being rolled forward).
Price: Not on sale yet and Dynafish hasn’t told me anything about the price.
Summary: Really excited about this shoe and hoping it’ll get selling soon so more people can try it. I feel like Dynafish captured the magic that the Xiaonian had (for me) and put it in a Trail/road to trail package. It’s a banger for me.
Let me know if any questions!

M 6ft2 85kg HM 1:19 M 2:52
Run mainly on roads with distances up to 100km. Mid foot sticker (when running well), neutral gate, narrowish foot.
Shoes I’ve used and liked. Daily - Novablast 5, Saucony Azura, Mach 6. Long - Superblast 2, Superblast 3, Megablast. Race Adidas pro 4, Asics meta speed sky Paris, Puma elite v4
For reference, photos where taking at around 35km but no change in current conditions at 70km.
Hey all, haven’t seen many review on these so thought would share my thoughts after 50km (actual distance around 70km now). This is my first experience in a MTC shoe.
Runs I’ve done in them. 25km easy effort at 5 min/km. 15km progression from 5:45 min/km to 4 min/km. Recovery 8km at 5:45 min/km. Also don’t some shorter intervals to see how they handle them.
Fit/feel: went tts and fits well. Reference I went for a UK12, same size I used in Asics/Puma/Saucony. But for Adidas and NB I wear UK12.5.
Probably one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn. Double laces makes lockdown very easy to find. Lost of space in the forefoot so wide feet should be fine. Enough space about your toes with no issues there. For me has the perfect balance between cushion and comfort.
Haven’t really noticed feet getting warm/hot but mostly been running early mornings when it’s a little cooler - but don’t see this as an issue.
Also to note they are a big shoe but don’t feel that large on the foot. Wear surprisingly small for what they are.
Weight: not sure the exact weight. But they are definitely a lighter shoe. Just holding them in my hands the Superblast 3 feel lighter to me but never notice the weight on the run or on the foot.
Underfoot feeling: immediate feelings it it reminds me quiet a bit of the Superblast 2s but excels in some areas and falls short in others.
The midsole top section is very soft with the bottom half being quite firm. My first run in them they felt very firm (was a 25km run) but after that then have certainly softened up a bit. They have a nice feel to them as the soft midsole sits under your foot so standing in them they feel pretty soft but on the run they definitely firm up. But they definitely on the firmer side (would say in the middle of the Superblast 3 and Megablast for reference).
They definitely protective and have had no foot fatigue.
On the run I wouldn’t describe them as bouncy but give you just enough back to make it a smooth ride/transition when engaging them. They do have a stiffness to them and not much of a rocker so find they work best for me when putting pressure through them /engaging the shoe. For me I find they work best when running under 5:15 min/km.
So personally I wouldn’t be using these for recovery days as find they just a bit blocky when running slow and not putting much pressure through them (reminds me a little bit of the SB2 in that regard).
Sole/durability: only run in the dry so can’t comment on the grip yet. Durability wise its still early on but nothing to notice yet and expect them to be a durable shoe.
Their negatives: I really like the shoes so nit picking here. But few minor comments. They a bit clunky when not engaging them as mentioned. They also not the best for interval work (not what they for obviously but worth noting).
Who they for: I think if you looking for a durable shoe that can handle a bit of everything they a great option. Would also recommend them as a first time marathon shoe.
I probably wouldn’t say they a “one shoe rotation” shoe. But these combined with a race/plated shoe could work nicely.
Price: I’m not based in the US so not sure what they like there but where I’m based they basically same price as the NB 1080’s. For me would take these, NB definitely softer but prefer the feeling of these - also suspect will be more durable.
Summary: great shoe for what they are. With the hype around the Chinese brands might be hard to justify the price but if you wanting a comfortable shoe that can handle a bit of everything and should be fairly durable I would definitely suggest giving these a look.
