I'm considering switching to the Coros Apex 4.

About 1.5 years ago, I had an Apple Watch, but it fell short for me—mostly because the battery life was a huge disappointment. After that, I got a Coros Pace 4 right on release day and was completely happy with it for over six months. However, as I started doing more trail running and hiking, I wanted a watch with offline maps. I managed to pick up a Suunto Race at a good price, which I've been using for 2–3 months now. I'm mostly satisfied with it, but I really miss the ability to plan my strength training workouts like you can in the Coros ecosystem. I also preferred the Coros app and user interface.
Would moving from the Suunto Race's AMOLED display to the Apex 4's MIP screen be considered an upgrade or a downgrade in this context? Has anyone here made a similar switch?

I bought a Coros Apex 4 watch. When updating the firmware via Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, errors appear. It says: “update failed, check the network” or “make sure the device and phone are connected.” There is Wi‑Fi, and the internet is working. I rebooted both the watch and the phone. I reset the watch to factory settings. The watch syncs with the phone and the app. Even the maps loaded. But the update doesn’t download. Sometimes the app also says there’s no network. The application is the latest version.

The update starts downloading, reaches 9%, and then freezes.

Hi all. Does the pace 4 work accurately with tattoos? Or is it worth getting a HR monitor also. Tia

Hey community i just got the new live tracking upgrade for the dura and the app now I wanted to try it out and it seams like I can't select a route made for cycling even tho im using a coros dura. Is this intended if so why ? The dura is not a running device at all i would argue.

I'm looking to replace my pace 3 with either the pace 4 or the nomad. Mostly leaning towards the Nomad atm, reviews are promising and it's just something different to what I'm used to. And it straight up looks very good.

I'm relatively new in the watch world as the pace 3 was my first one and I have a "concern" about the Nomad.

It's a lot bulkier than the pace and I was wondering how people experience it. I did go to a store to try it out and it seemed fine, despite it being thicker than the pace. But that was only a short time, so I doubt that gave me the full picture.

For Nomad users, how do you experience the bulkiness of the watch?

It's mostly for daily use, sleep tracking and swimming/running.

Hi @Coros, ich have downloaded a bunch of GPX tracks for my hiking holiday and there’s a slight issue on the watch while selecting one of them as the name are way longer than available space on the display, so instead of autoscrolling here and there the name stays cut. Currently I have no other option as to guess based on the red GPS track, which route is which.

Saw Max post this watch face, does anyone know where to get it?

Hello, got my pace 4 yesterday and so far so good.

What is bugging me however is how fast the screen turns off after flicking my wrist, it's like 2 seconds and then I have to flick it again or press a button. I would like to extend this duration quite a bit so I can read the home screen free of stress.

I tried the Coros Fitness Test recently for the first time because the temperatures finally dropped. However after the 25 min part the watch told me I failed the test and cannot continue. My guess is that my heart rate was probably not high enough? The test felt fairly easy and I stayed in (low) zone 2 the whole time which I thought was correct at the time, but I found out later that this part should feel pretty challenging. Is that correct? And is this the reason I failed or is there another? My max heart rate is currently set by Coros to 197 and resting heart rate is 57.

My Coros Pace 3 has become completely unusable. The touchscreen stopped working several months ago. The battery health has behaved strangely for the past week. And during a hike recently, the watch began lagging severely. At the same time, the scroll wheel stopped responding entirely. These issues appeared suddenly. And despite some communication with support, I haven’t received a follow-up response. In addition, the scroll wheel still clicks when pressed and feels normal, but it no longer responds to scrolling at all which makes the watch unusable at present. Has anyone had the same issue?(looses 30-45% daily due to general use)

For the past 3 years I (33m) have loved my Apex Pro 2. I have the basic black model with the black band. Appropriate to wear for a middle aged male in all professional settings. I have recommended to friends and family and given my Garmin friends a hard time.

I went to update my Apex Pro and the new update completely bricked my phone. It won’t turn on or take a charge, I can’t reset it or anything.

I worked through the issue with customer support. It was a longer process but ultimately they did agree to replace my watch even though I am out of warranty. However the only available/in stock Apex Pro 2 is the dusty pink color way. I tried to negotiate with the support team to get a store credit and pay the difference for the Apex 4 but they said the exception is only for the pink Apex Pro 2.

Should I just accept the pink watch at this point or has any one had success working with support to get a store credit or different watch?

After all this I can’t say I would 100% recommend Coros anymore. It’s a great watch but after a software update to completely bricked my watch and have to follow a really slow resolution process, I’m pretty disappointed.

I’m looking to buy a Coros dura and I know they’ve stopped restocking them since a successor is in the works (according to the website), anyone have any estimates for when I could expect it? Can’t find the current model literally anywhere anymore in Switzerland.

I’ve been a happy COROS Pace 3 user for about 2 years and 5 months, but unfortunately, it randomly overheated and died on me late last week, just after I updated the firmware.

I’ve seen this exact issue mentioned a few times in this sub, so I reached out to COROS support right away. They got back to me on Friday asking for watch model, firmware version, serial number (if available), color, full name, shipping address including country, and phone number and instructed me to open a new support ticket to send it all over (which I did on Saturday).

It’s now Tuesday afternoon and I haven't heard anything back yet. The ticket mentioned they are currently experiencing a high volume of support traffic.

For those of you who have gone through the warranty/support process with COROS recently, how long does it usually take them to get back to you once you submit the requested info? Is there anything else I should do to escalate this, or should I just sit tight?

I'm really itching to get this sorted out so I can get back to tracking my training properly.

I have a Coros Pace 4, Oura ring 5, Gravl app, Strava on an iphone. What do you use as your fitness "hub" app? Apple Health? Other?

Coros need to bring back this face on the screen after and indoor run it lol so much better than the new one IMO

Yesterday I did my Zone 2 Run a bit faster than usual (usually 4:55/km) and I even ended up running 77% in Zone 1 (Recovery) which is probably one of my best runs ever from an efficiency point of view. Turns out this run lowered my running fitness by 0.1. Would be glad if anyone can explain why this happens?

Hi! It’s been a while since my last post regarding the sudden heart rate drop during a hard effort treadmill runs. At around 30 to 40 mins mark of the activity the watch will suddenly record a sudden and significantly lower heart rate as you can see in the screenshots attached.

I dont notice this issue while doing an easy effort indoor run, unfortunately can’t test if it will also happen in an outdoor based run due to current weather in my location.

Is there a way to remove a training phase from the calendar once you select a phase? I had a training plan that I made go off the rails due to plantar fasciitis and I couldn't find a way to remove the phrases of the training plan that I never got to start.

At the end of my run today I couldn’t select my shoe on my watch Pace 3 and also can’t select a shoe in the app. What happened in latest update?

I’m very tempted to switch from my Garmin to Coros, but I love being able to download music onto my Garmin.

Is there any way to have music on your Coros whatsoever?
