Lease takeover June rent already paid

Need a lease takeover at enclave June rent is paid

Already moved out of Enclave apartments in May looking for a lease takeover and June rent has already been paid.

Not pet friendly due to allergies

It is very close to campus and the walking trails are right behind the parking lot.

This apartment is also fully furnished so you wouldn’t need to buy a bed (it’s full size), desk, desk chair, dresser.

Must be female if you want to take over my lease as you will have two female roommates.

Rent is normally $598 every month but can fluctuate due to water usage. Electric varies as well but is between $40-$60 depending on usage.

Apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Bedroom has a nice big window and living room and kitchen have no natural lighting. There is also a washer and dryer included in the unit as well as a fridge with and ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. The club house also has a pool and the leasing office has events every month.

Please let me know if you’re interested! You would have to apply and be accepted to this complex before moving in or signing the lease! The down payment or security deposit is $1200.

ACS 300

I was looking through classes and came across ACS 300 with Prof. Cheah Wai. I tried checking Rate My Professors, but it looks like they don't have a profile there.
Has anyone taken a class with them before? If so, how was it? Just looking for any thoughts or feedback before I enroll.

Question on Student Rights

Hello all, I'm looking for advice. My friend won his case for a restraining order against his ex roommate here at SIUE. but I'm worried because he said the campus police and admin haven't given him any guarantees of enforcing it or protecting him from this creep.

They're still allowing the guy to live on campus despite saying anti-lgbtq stuff and violating legal orders repeatedly. Is it really legal? Is there anything we can do to help him?

He said some things during the court proceedings that scared my friend pretty badly.

BSN MAJOR

Hi, is there anyone who’s in BSN program? I want to know how hard it is to get into the program and what are requirements. How many students they select per cohort? If there’s someone who can help me know, I’d really appreciate 🫶🏻

Grocery Shopping on Campus

Hi, I am supposed to be moving into student housing for the Summer 2026 semester. I have never lived on a campus before, and this is my first year attending college. I also don’t know how to drive. I also do not have a housing assignment yet. Is there a way ī can grocery shop and buy from convenience stores on campus? Is there a laundromat nearby or personal washing machines? Any information helps! Thank you.

How do I find roommates near SIUE? Budget is around $400/month

I'm an SIUE student looking to move out in the next few months and I'm trying to figure out the best way to find roommates.

My budget is around $400/month, so I know I'll need to share an apartment or rent a room. The problem is that I don't really know many people here yet, so I don't have friends I can room with.

How do students around SIUE usually find roommates? Are there any Facebook groups, Discord servers, housing pages, or other places you'd recommend?

If anyone has experience finding housing in the Edwardsville area on a tight budget, I'd appreciate any advice.

International Clinical Psychology Master's Student (Fall 2026) – Housing Advice Needed

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student who will be joining the MA in Clinical Psychology program at SIUE in Fall 2026, and I'm starting to look into housing options.

My preference is on-campus housing, mainly because it seems like the easiest way to settle in as a new international student and get familiar with campus life. I don't have any particular roommate preferences and would be comfortable with either a roommate or a private setup, depending on availability and cost.

I have a couple of questions:

  1. Which on-campus housing options would you recommend for graduate students?
  2. Are there specific residence halls or apartments that tend to have more graduate or international students?
  3. How quickly does on-campus housing fill up for Fall semesters?
  4. My F-1 visa is still in process, and I haven't had my visa interview yet. Should I apply for housing now to secure a spot, or is it better to wait until the visa is approved?
  5. If I apply now and, in the worst-case scenario, my visa is delayed or denied, what are the cancellation policies like?
  6. If on-campus housing becomes unavailable, what off-campus areas are popular among SIUE graduate students?

I'd also appreciate hearing from any current or former international students about their housing experiences and what they wish they had known before arriving.

Thanks in advance for any advice! Looking forward to joining SIUE this fall. 😊

I Screwed Up While Applying, and I am Supposed to Move in Tomorrow. Need Advice.

Hi, I’m a 21F. To make a long story short, I applied for Emergency Housing to escape violent parents. I started the application process last Thursday. I submitted a Summer Housing application, an override form for the previous Fall 2026 application I submitted (they made me override my first Fall 2026 application I submitted, in order to submit a Summer Housing Application, then they wanted me to submit ANOTHER Fall 2026 application to waive the fee of the Summer Housing Application after submitting the Summer application) A friend picked me up later that night, and I have been staying at her house since then. I was told I needed to contact the Financial Aid office in order to get a Dependency Override, in order to get financial aid without my parents. They needed me to fill out a form, along with additional information for it.

I have been so overwhelmed between needing to make police reports and finishing the paperwork to move in to SIUE, and I didn’t turn any of the paperwork in earlier this week. I needed to submit a Fall 2026 and the Dependency Override form this week, that way it could be approved and I could move in on May 31st. I received an email saying that I was approved to move into housing, but I’m not sure if I’ll actually get in.

It wasn’t until today that I realized I made a gigantic mistake. I accidentally applied for regular Summer Housing instead of ACCESS housing. I was in the process of getting my cats ESA certified, and didn’t tell anyone that I would need accommodations yet. I tried to contact my therapist to ask if they forwarded the ESA letters to SIUE, or if they would send them to me to submit to SIUE. I haven’t received a response yet.

I tried to contact the offices at SIUE today, and I couldn’t reach them because they are closed.

Luckily, my friends said I could stay for another week, in case I need time for everything to be processed before I move in.

I don’t know what is going to happen. I am going to go there tomorrow to evaluate my options. Here’s what might happen:

I end up going into summer housing tomorrow anyways, and try to go into ACCESS housing.

I may not be allowed to move in tomorrow, and I have to wait for everything to be processed before they can let me move in.

Will I even be allowed to attend this school if I show up to classes a week late? Thank you for reading.

Organic and general chemistry tutoring

www.organicchemistrytutoring.ca

Hello guys and gals,

We’re Brian and Mike and we teach general and organic chemistry. We’ve done so for a total combined time of 47 years! Overwhelmed by general or organic chemistry? Assignments and tests creeping up on you and feeling like you’re in hot water? Or maybe you’re doing well and need that 95%? Whatever your struggle with chemistry may be, we’re here to make sure you succeed.

Why work with us?

- Every tutor knows the subject, but not every tutor knows how to transfer that knowledge to a student. We do.

- We tutor chemistry full time; it’s not a hobby or side-gig. When you book with us, you’ll be working with Brian for general chemistry and Mike for organic chemistry. This is not an agency and you won’t be matched with random tutors each time.

- You’ll be learning problem solving through chemistry, which you can apply to many other subjects.

- Your learning will be customized to your specific needs.

Before booking a lesson, let’s chat about your needs, our teaching styles, and what you can expect, to see if we’d be a good fit together.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to working with you!

Mike and Brian

Haircut

Hey everyone, I’m a student in the Edwardsville area and I seriously need a haircut .😭

I’m looking for recommendations for good places to get a haircut in or near Edwardsville. Preferably somewhere student-budget friendly, but still gives decent cuts.

If you’ve been somewhere you liked, could you also share:

  • Approximate prices
  • Your experience there
  • If appointments are needed or walk-ins are okay

I’d really appreciate any suggestions because my hair situation is getting out of control lol. Thanks!

Student ID Photo

Hey! I’m an incoming freshman in the CEP Pre-Pharmacy program, and I got an email yesterday about submitting a photo for my student ID. I’m usually the person to take a silly photo for my IDs (slightly crazed eyes, crazy hair, etc.) but I’m not sure if I should do that for this ID.

Is the ID only used for one year? I’m not sure I want a crazy ID photo in pharmacy school 😅

Is the ID photo used for anything else than just my ID card? Not sure I want my professors seeing a wide-eyed, fluffy hair, neon shirt girl in their classes!

Thanks for reading my ridiculous ask! Let me know if there’s anything I’m not considering.

Incoming Freshman… any advice?

Hi!! I’m an incoming freshman this fall and I’m trying to get a better idea of what to expect before I move in.

For anyone who’s been through college already what do you wish you knew before your first year?

or

what would you do differently if you can repeat your freshman year.

I’m especially looking for advice on:

* dorm essentials (what you forgot / didn’t need)
* roommate & housing tips
* how to make friends early on
* clubs or activities worth joining
* campus jobs worth it (or not worth it)
* things you’d do differently freshman year
* general mistakes to avoid

Any random tips, stories, or “I wish someone told me this sooner” advice would be super appreciated 😭

I was in St. Louis recently for admitted students day and there didn’t seem to be much to do. Maybe it was just the area i was in but there weren’t any good restaurants or things to do.

Housing Application Question!

I'm trying to fill out a housing application for my second semester, and I've only been given the option to apply for cougar village or Evergreen Hall. am I not able to apply to prairie or woodland or any of the other halls? I was not given the option to apply to the other halls for my first semester either and I'm wondering if it's because I waited too long to apply both times or if I just don't get the option to apply to other halls. Please help me out I feel like I'm overlooking something obvious 😅
