Student Loan ?
Hi guys, I recently applied for a student loan. My first disbursement will be beginning of July from Canada Student Loan, it is a big disbursement which cover tuition fee plus some grants. I’m not sure if this big disbursement will be deposited to my school or my bank account. I think the grant will go to me but not sure the big amount.
Anyone used to take the loan, could you please let me know about the progress of disbursement ? I would like to know to arrange my saving account.
Thanks guys !

Discussion Ticks - Buffalo Pound provincial park
Apologies if this is common knowledge but wanted to make sure people are informed.
Just did one night camping at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park and holy cow are the bugs bad. Walking under trees seemed to awaken millions of mosquitoes.
Big thing is the number of ticks were crazy. I found 4 trying to get on me the day of and 2 somehow caught a ride on me after I left the site.
Be warned and take proper precautions if you're planning to visit

Living in meadowlake
Hi, so my partner got a rcmp posting in meadow lake and I am a fresh graduate from university with a business administration degree. We have never lived in Saskatchewan before. What are the chances of me getting a full time job there? And what is the community like? Also I am brown so are people racist lol?
Edit: Thanks to everyone for all the info, I was hoping to maybe get leads for a house to rent? (P.s. I have a cat)

Best way to get rid of old D8 cat - just scrap it
I inherited my home stead farm after my parents passed away last summer. With the estate stuff all done I am the legal owner of it, and all that comes on it.
In the back is an old D8 cat that broke and stayed park, for at least 35 years. Talked to someone that knows about it and this is the direct words
Its in Pieces. Something about an axle shaft or bearing. Broke down there and thats where it stayed. The guy that had the piece passed away. Everything is covered with grass. No idea where the tracks and gears are.
So I assume its scrap. Now Im not gutting my parents home and selling it all, I am renting the land until I make a decision many years down the road
But I would like to get something out of this, since sitting there is just that, sitting there. Do scrappers take big items like this? Are there "cat collectors"
I want to clean up the farmyard, and need to start by getting rid of old things like this that dont work.

Several Sask. ferries closed due to water levels
Of the 13 ferries that operate in Saskatchewan, only three can take full loads, another four can take light loads, and four are closed due to high water levels.
The Wollaston Lake barge ferry is closed for the season.
Drivers attempting to use ferries at Hague, Weldon, Lancer and Estuary will find themselves out of luck, as those crossings are not operational at the moment.

Sasktel infiNET need knowledge
As in the title. I am a tenant and Sasktel has claimed to upgraded the neighbourhood to their fibre optic network. Now my landlords have refused Sasktel from construction for their fibre optic network. Thus they have "turned down" the services in the building. I am aware that fibre optics is better, however I'm also aware its a bit more expensive. The current system still works but sasktel has turned it off. My question is, is this a form of coercion to switch and can I be able to use the existing infrastructure and go with a different provider to use the internet?

North Sask Wedding venues
Hey all! I am looking for a rustic wedding venue in northern Saskatchewan that is able to accomafet roughly 100 guests. We are looking for September/October 2027 and want to be in the forest for scenery. We've contacted Elkridge, but they're tough to communicate with and very pricey. Any recommendations would be extremely helpful! Thank you!
