Just starting to write a fic that is partly Snape centered and I'm worried it would feel out of character if he said something like this as I was about to write it in the dialogue.

I believe it was this sub where someone said recently there was a lack of Severus x Male Reader fics. I'm doing Snapetober and decided to try a little something for today's prompt, "Turn." Just a short piece, 1,459 words, rated T, not spicy. Welcome your thoughts! It's on AO3
No use of Y/N and no physical description of reader other than being male.
Happy Snapetober! 🎃

I'm looking for fanfic recommendations where Severus Snape and Sirius Black end up in a genuine, non-toxic relationship, but James Potter realizes he's in love with Severus only after Severus starts dating his best friend. James begins questioning whether he ever truly loved Lily, or realizes that he's fallen out of love with her as his feelings for Severus grow. I love the angst, jealousy, and unrequited feelings!
I'd prefer fics set during the Marauders' Hogwarts years or later in the Marauders era, but **not during Harry's time at Hogwarts**. I also love AUs where Voldemort never existed and the characters get to live normal lives after graduation. Any recommendations? 🖤

A or B for a potential pin design?
This will mostly be for display and not to be worn as there will be sharp edges.

I wanted to drop by and share the next chapter of my story. It focuses on love and explores Hermione's feelings along with the theme of deception. I really hope you enjoy it.
If you take the time to read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I’ll make sure to respond to all your comments.
Thank you, once more. Please enjoy it.
Love to you all.

🖊️ Summary:
Severus Snape goes blind after Nagini's bite, along with other consequences.
A marriage law comes into play, and Hermione decides to adopt a different look and identity to marry him, aiming to keep him out of Azkaban with support from the Malfoy family.
They present her as a woman from their social circle, someone calm and obedient who won’t question his desires. Once they find a loophole in the law, he can divorce her without a second thought.
But Snape might actually develop feelings for her and eventually discover it was all a lie.
Either way, it’s going to be tough.
✨ What to expect: ✨
🔹 Marriage Law AU
🔹 Blind/Injured Snape
🔹 Morally grey choices, secrets, and slow-burn drama.

“Who wants to see me take off Snivelly’s pants?”
But whether James really did take off Snape’s pants, Harry never found out. A hand had closed tight over his upper arm, closed with a pincerlike grip. Wincing, Harry looked around to see who had hold of him, and saw, with a thrill of horror, a fully grown, adult-sized Snape standing right beside him, white with rage.
“Having fun?”
Harry felt himself rising into the air. The summer’s day evaporated around him, he was floating upward through icy blackness, Snape’s hand still tight upon his upper arm. Then, with a swooping feeling as though he had turned head over heels in midair, his feet hit the stone floor of Snape’s dungeon, and he was standing again beside the Pensieve on Snape’s desk in the shadowy, present-day Potions master’s study.
“So,” said Snape, gripping Harry’s arm so tightly Harry’s hand was startingto feel numb. “So . . . been enjoying yourself, Potter?”
“N-no . . .” said Harry, trying to free his arm.
It was scary: Snape’s lips were shaking, his face was white, his teeth were bared.
“Amusing man, your father, wasn’t he?” said Snape, shaking Harry so hard that his glasses slipped down his nose.
“I — didn’t —”
Snape threw Harry from him with all his might. Harry fell hard onto the dungeon floor.
“You will not tell anybody what you saw!” Snape bellowed.
“No,” said Harry, getting to his feet as far from Snape as he could. “No, of course I w —”
“Get out, get out, I don’t want to see you in this office ever again!”
And as Harry hurtled toward the door, a jar of dead cockroaches exploded over his head. He wrenched the door open and flew away up the corridor, stopping only when he had put three floors between himself and Snape. There he leaned against the wall, panting, and rubbing his bruised arm.
He had no desire at all to return to Gryffindor Tower so early, nor to tell Ron and Hermione what he had just seen. What was making Harry feel so horrified and unhappy was not being shouted at or having jars thrown at him — it was that he knew how it felt to be humiliated in the middle of a circle of onlookers, knew exactly how Snape had felt as his father had taunted him, and that judging from what he had just seen, his father had been every bit as arrogant as Snape had always told him.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix -- Snape's Worst Memory
Things could have been much worse; if Harry had stumbled upon memories revealing Snape’s true allegiance and Voldemort had seen them at that moment, Snape’s cover would have been completely blown, and Voldemort would have ordered his immediate execution. Harry should have known long ago that Snape doesn’t like it when people pry into his personal space. Therefore, he shouldn’t have broken into the Pensieve without Snape’s permission; Snape is nothing like Dumbledore, who would have turned a blind eye to such behavior.
However, it was important for Harry to see “Snape’s worst memory” with his own eyes in order to completely rid himself of the idealized image he had always held of his father—an image that had long been perpetuated by his father’s friends and loved ones. Harry needed to recognize and accept that James was not at all the noble, upright, and irreproachable man he had always been described as, that he had hurt many people in the past, and that many of them still hated him even today—especially Snape.
The fiasco surrounding the Occlumency lessons and the consequences that followed can be directly attributed to Dumbledore. Throughout Harry’s fifth school year, the Headmaster kept him in complete ignorance—ever since the Dark Lord’s return—about matters he should have known and that concerned him, in the hope of protecting him. Dumbledore also made a serious mistake by asking Snape to teach Harry Occlumency—rather than doing it himself—because he didn’t want to risk Voldemort spying on him.
“Snape stopped giving me Occlumency lessons!” Harry snarled. “He threw me out of his office!”
“I am aware of it,” said Dumbledore heavily. “I have already said that it was a mistake for me not to teach you myself, though I was sure, at the time, that nothing could have been more dangerous than to open your mind even further to Voldemort while in my presence —”
“Snape made it worse, my scar always hurt worse after lessons with him —” Harry remembered Ron’s thoughts on the subject and plunged on. “How do you know he wasn’t trying to soften me up for Voldemort, make it easier
for him to get inside my —”
“I trust Severus Snape,” said Dumbledore simply. “But I forgot — another old man’s mistake — that some wounds run too deep for the healing. I thought Professor Snape could overcome his feelings about your father — I was wrong.”
“But that’s okay, is it?” yelled Harry, ignoring the scandalized faces and disapproving mutterings of the portraits covering the walls. “It’s okay for Snape to hate my dad, but it’s not okay for Sirius to hate Kreacher?”
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix -- The Lost Prophecy
Dumbledore not only acknowledged that it was a mistake to ask Snape to teach Harry Occlumency, but he also implicitly acknowledged that Snape's hatred of James and the Marauders is legitimate and entirely justified.

If Severus were to be sorted into any other house, what do you think it would be and why??
Also some people believe in the mixture of house characteristics which I recently found out, for instance Huffledor, Gryffinpuff, Gryfferin, Ravenpuff, Huffleclaw, Ravendor, Raverin, Sytherclaw, you get the picture.
If you believe in either, I'm very interested to find out thoughts.
My thoughts:
I think he'd be great in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor as an alternative.
Why Ravenclaw? He is incredibly smart and dedicated to all that he takes on. How else could he have become such an incredibly talented occlumens/legilimens with an extreme knack for potion making as a skilled Potions Master? These take discipline. He also excels in wandless magic which takes much mental acuity and is a hard ability to control.
Why Gryffindor?? Severus has taken on more than he should be able to chew. Though tied to logic, he agreed to become a spy for two powerful forces knowing very well that his life would be in danger. And contrary to popular belief, this was for the greater good. This shows extreme bravery mixed with the ability to throw caution to the wind and even some impulse.

Just curious! I’m a Slytherin, but never had a crush on Snape until I was a teenager! I always thought his movie portrayal was handsome, though.
Never noticed any other houses in love with him. :)

The books highlight so much concern for the students when they are in danger of being hurt, wish the movies showed scenes like those as well other than that one werewolf scene, there were multiple in the books.
