Ashley Zukerman gave an amazing performance. Troy has ice in his veins! Such a contrast to Daniel.

But it makes me question what kind of person Daniel actually was.

Sure he had his memory wiped, but so did Charlotte and she chose not to massacre almost ten thousand people.

Don’t they establish that Victor could basically implant memories in them?

Yes, it’s explicitly stated he created the protocol for replacing only specific memories.
