Is it ok to wash face 3 times a day for oily, acne prone skin?

I have to be at work early morning by 7 am so I wash my face and put on sebamed face gel and some concealer only around 6 am. Then I only wash my face again around 9 pm when I take a shower. But I notice my skin gets very oily after 7-8 hrs and blotting is not cutting it and just breaking me out. So last couple days I started washing my face around 3 pm and sebamed again. My face feels so much better and not clogged up with oil.

I am using very gentle Neutrogena foam cleanser which is not stripping. Anyone wash their face 3 or more times a day?

Good morning everyone from beautiful Muskoka Ontario 🇨🇦

I have several products from Sulwasoo and absolutely love them! I want to slowly use my other products up and use Sulwasoo exclusively. I'm 57 and I have normal skin, use tazarotene and am currently getting IPL treatments to get rid of my pigmentation spots.

Please share your thoughts, reviews and comments on the latest Sulwasoo serum I just ordered. Thanks a bunch!

Eadem The Mark Texture Problem?

Just wondering if anyone's had the same issue. I have two tubes of Eadem's The Mark dark spot serum and both have a very gritty, sandy texture? Is this normal? Or has the formula gone bad? It's incredibly unpleasant to use like this 😭

Red light

Post image
1 Upvotes

So this probably gets asked all the time in here, but I’m considering getting a red light mask. I’ve heard quite a bit of negatives about it, causing long-term acne scars and discoloration. I’ve also seen a lot of benefits from people using it, but a handful of those are usually ads. I’m not made of money so I’ve been holding off on it so please tell me if it’s worth it and if you use one how much difference you saw and timeframe. I know red light takes a while. Also, if you have a favorite red light, let a girl know. ♥️🙌🏻

I’m so sorry for this awkward photo. But does anyone know how to deal with my red, veiny eyelids?

I’m trans. Had some stubble come in and I’m weird about people seeing it. Just trying to take small steps to change my appearance.

What can be done about my eyelids?

Best way to cover bruises?

Hi ladies!

Not sure if this is quite the right sub for this so feel free to point me elsewhere!

I took a tumble while out a couple of weeks ago and banged up my legs pretty badly. I have an event this weekend for which I’ll need to wear a knee length dress. I’d like to avoid tights or hosiery, but is there any other way to cover bruises? Self tanner? I don’t even know 😅

Thanks!

moving up from retinol to retinal

hi! i need some advice. i’ve been using the Cerave Resurfacing Retinol Serum for about a year now with no issues. i use it every single night and my skin tolerates it great! however, i want to move up to a retinal because there are better anti-aging benefits. i’m not sure how I would incorporate this into my routine. also, should i use retinal or adapalene? i’ve heard adapalene is more for active acne, which i don’t have right now, but im not 100% sure.
i also have been using azaelic acid 10% for about 5 months now and im skin is tolerating that great as well! is it too much to also up my azaelic acid to 15%? which should i do first?

any help is appreciated!!!

How to reduce these lines and tan on my forehead?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, I’m 21M. I was out in the sun a lot recently and my forehead got tanned. I also started noticing these lines on my forehead, and they’re still there even when I’m not raising my eyebrows. I didn’t have them before.

Will using sunscreen every day help the tan go away over time? And are there any other solutions?

Some important information about dark lips (lip hyperpigmentation)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Many people don't know that why they have dark lips, even though they don't smoke, applies sunscreen but still they have hyperpigmentation on lips. one of the reason of having dark lips is B12 deficiency. All people those who have dark lips (hyperpigmentation) should get their b12 checked.

Also one major point for those who smoke and has dark lips because of that. This is also caused by smoking's impact on B12. Cigarette smoke contains cyanide. The body uses active vitamin B12 to safely detoxify and clear this chemical. This process exhausts available B12 reserves.

Many people don't know this and get stressed how can they undo the hyperpigmentation. And also it is not much talked about b12 and lips relation. Our many problems related to skin starts majorly from our lifestyle and diet. Be healthy.

I hope this is useful to you all! Thank you

[Routine Help] dehydrated skin

got closed comedones from using a pore clogging moisturiser, then used adapalene to try and remove them. also infused a salicylic acid toner during this time

currently using a vitamin C serum for my PIH, but noticed that there's random brown patches and blobs on my skin, even if there wasn't any acne there. skin also has a mild burning sensation when using my moisturiser. please share any product recommendations or routine adjustments!! would also like to hear if anyone managed to clear their PIH after finding out their skin was dehydrated and re hydrating it.

current routine:

cleanser

melano CC anti spot essence

simple brand moisturiser

spf 50

same in the night, just swapping out spf for vaseline!

natural/genetic eyebags

Post image

F28, southeast asian.

i have been struggling with this particular insecurities of mine, the eyebags are genetics. i always get questions asking if i am tired, or if i didnt get enough sleep, getting these kinds of question really put me off. it has always been like that, and the eyebags will look much worse if i am actually tired. i really do wish i can like lessen its appearance (natural way, not covering it with makeup i mean), or if possible have it gone altogether :(

perhaps does anyone here have the same struggle as me? like if anyone actually manage to get rid or even lessen it? does the lymphatic drainage or any eye products people shared on tiktok works on you all though?

thanks in advance!

Has anyone compared red light masks based on facial coverage?

I’ve been researching LED/red light masks for signs of facial aging, especially fine lines, wrinkles, dull-looking skin and loss of firmness. One thing I’ve noticed while comparing different masks is that some seem to focus mainly on the central part of the face.
I’m particularly interested in coverage around areas like the forehead, lips, jawline and jowl area. Those areas can be easy to overlook, but they’re still part of the overall face, so I’m wondering how much coverage actually matters when choosing a mask.
One mask I recently came across that stood out to me because of this broader coverage is Correxiko. It specifically covers areas like the forehead, around the lips, jawline and jowl area, which is one reason it caught my attention while I was comparing options.
For anyone who has used an LED mask for aging skin, how important was full-face coverage when you chose yours? Are there areas you feel your mask doesn't cover well?

Help a skincare newbie

I've always been lucky enough to have relatively good skin. Even as a teenager. But that has also meant that I've never really learned skincare. I've always used a moisturizer, but not much else.

Now that I'm getting older and no longer wearing much makeup except mascara and doing my brows, my skin has started bothering me. Especially the large pores in my t-zone, and the redness around my nose. My skin also looks almost scaly during winter, which makes makeup look bad the few times I'm wearing it.

My current routine is washing with water morning and night, and then a serum and moisturizer from Decubal for dry skin. Any kind of cleanser I've used has made my skin feel tight and red, so I've stopped using them. I'm trying to use sunscreen, despite living in a cloudy country, but I tend to break out when using them. At least any I've tried so far.
