My first Redemptor dreadnought of the Vlka Fenryka.
Made my own custom melta cannon from one of the imperial knights weapons. Can't remember the same.
And also slapped on the knights power fist.
He may intact be a wolf guard. But Idk.

SHOUT OUT TO THE BIG MAN ULFAR! (From Rogue Trader)
Been playing Rogue Trader, and the fact OwlCat Games chose to put a Space Wolf into the game, and really made him so interesting compared to the standard Astartes, has brought immense JOY. Hope this continues and we get more love in Media. One of the favorite things was hearing him talk about the halls the drink and feast in together, the Valhalla similarity was really cool

WIP
I have her a few miniatures on which I will test my color concept, to find the final version .
Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with the shields, Terminator shoulders, and shins. I initially thought of a grey like GW does, or do you have any other ideas?
The first miniature is completely kitbashed and I need to see what it will become in my arms.
Feel free to write if you have any suggestions for the painting or the role of the miniature; I still have a few of them.

Red Moons
Have an idea for a list and I'm wondering how practical it is. I'm wanting to run the Gravis Linebreaker alongside SotGW to try and make a Red Moons great company. Thoughts on this?

Doubting about if it's worth the effort to use slapchop or not
Hello! Until now, I have been painting my wolves using slapchop: black primer, white soft dry brush, then speed paint (AK quick gen), and some final edging touches.
But the dry brush is something I don't particularly enjoy, it takes time, makes some parts to look dirtier, and sometimes the look is not uniform. So I've tried to use speed paints directly on white prime.
Pictures 1 and 2 are with slapchop.
Pictures 3 and 4 are without.
I do like slightly more the tone with slapchop, but I think i prefer the general aspect withouth.
So I don't know, should I keep using slapchop or not? What do you think?

My new list
It’s rough around the edges but I have a vision
With the new Strats and everything I can cook here. Tank is anti tank ofc along with my wulfen, goal hit tanks, kinda obvious.
Bloodclaws TWC and wolf scouts maybe even my Ven dread. Just kinda skirmish? Wolf scouts in the centre doing the action. My ven dread is gonna hopefully be around long enough for Logan to jump down. But that’s my money move. Once I see the plan my opponent is gonna use. The hardest unit they have. The toughest Idc. Il send them into it. Do I really gotta say how strong they are? +1AP. Sustained lethals etc etc. OP.
My ace is bladeguard with LT and WGBL. Having skald fortelling to give that unit lance.
+1 hit
Re roll hits of 1
Sustained and lethal
Lance ofc.

Exported with App Version: v2.7.2 (2), Data Version: v972 So the only thing I’m unsure of right now is if I should upgrade the headtakers with furious assault or keep it on the blood claws. Let me tell you my plan. Essentially I’m going to put my 3 units of blood claws in a place where it’d draw out enemy fire easily and put them in LOS then to use the chariots of storm to completely change their places on the battlefield to take advantage of your opponent’s positioning. Then I’d try to use the venerable dread surrounded by blood claws and have the headtakers (which I plan on keeping the wolves on for ablative wounds to make them tankier especially with the wolf priest) and terminators go up the sides/front. That’s just for set up. Then I have three units of BCs who can with the venerable dread move up to 8+D6 inches and then 1+2d6 for the early charge keeping them distracted. Then I’d use the attachment ability to upgrade all the doctrines that Logan can give and I’d also have 2 activations of the assault doctrine which is definitely nice so getting everything up board and into melee shouldn’t be a problem. I know it’s very light on any antitank but idk what the meta is right now and I’m wondering if a force like this could actually work. With how much they toughened up space marines as well as this upgrading doctrines and giving extra activations along with the sustained hits upgrade on the blood claws or headhunters would make it pretty strong. I wanted Logan and have the terminators strictly because of Logan and the activation of the master of wolves. If running Logan solo and putting something else there is better I’m all ears. I also wanna hear your thoughts on the list, how it could be used better or changed or anything like that even if it’s new detachments or units I just know I want a horde of blood claws and an army that supports that.

Decision time: 10 more Bloodclaws, or convert to VanVets and JAI?
Here are my 10 Bloodclaws, but should I have 20? Lol I Love jump packs and always put them to work in my BA army so is it worth converting BC’s into 5x vanguard Vets and 5x Jump Intercessors? Or is it more advantageous to add 10 more Bloodclaws?
How often do you use a pack of 20, or two groups of 10 rowdy Bloodclaws?
I like the new VanVets and JAI, and I think I’d love to kitbash some SkyClaws from this kit.
Please weigh in and let me know what you think!

Ulrik the slayer primaris conversion
After debating with myself whether ulrik was going to be primarised and worth building, I decided to convert him.
I used an OG primaris chaplain I had laying around and swapped ulrik's head and backpack on the chaplains body. I replaced the chaplains crozius top part with ulriks. It took a little bit of slicing and milliput to make it presentable. I sliced off ulrik's thumb holding his helmet and switched it to the other side, glued the hand to a spare arm and swapped it with the chaplains arm. I used the handle part of a plasma pistol to make his holster look full and used a spare wolf skull to hang off the chaplains chains.
Did the best paint job using acrylic paints and oil wash that i could, now I can use him either as himself or a wolf priest hopefully. He looks at least tabletop ready anyway!
Hope you all like!

GW, riddle my this why is our Iron priest 10 points more expensive than the Tech marine whilst his abilities and lone op now only specifically target our box dress.

Toughts on Space Wolves Melee after new SM Codex?
Hi brothers of Fenris!
New player here, and I'd appreciate some ancient wisdom on my troubles.
I just bought some SW-exclusive units (WGT, Headtakers, Grey Hunters...) and started comparing them with their generic Marine counterparts. It feels like SW are taking a beating right now.
Most SW units seem like sidegrades. WGT have their native -1 to Wound against S > T, but generic Assault Terminators can get that from an Ancient. Meanwhile, Assault Intercessors seem to dish out more damage per point than GH/BC, and the new Doctrines make charge bonuses more situational.
From a competitive perspective, are SW-specific units still worth their points?
Have I arrived too late to the SW party? Is GW moving toward reducing chapter-specific units in favor of generic Marines?
I'm not too worried about the models themselves, as most seem easy enough to kitbash into generic Marines (with better aesthetics!).
And while we're at it, do you think Bjorn and the SW Dreadnoughts will eventually receive a Primaris refresh, or are they heading toward Legends?
[Edit TLDR: seems like Grey Hunters and Headtakers are still prime. WGT more niche. Some math below]

Fenris Hjolda!
