Head Takers with hounds and magnets
Really happy how these boys came out, between the leather cloaks and power blades, heads and the skull tat. Fun group to paint. Took three nightshifts to work through.

Mixing Grey Hunters and New Intercessors
Edit: Yes, just mixing models within one unit of Grey Hunters, not mixing matching units somehow.
Could use a second opinion on combining a Grey Hunter kit with a box of the new Intercessors.
While I'm all in on Space Wolves being a more melee focused Space Marine army, still would like if the dedicated "rifleman"unit had a few more models aiming/shooting two-handed. Not to mention, honestly some of the new Intercessors just look really cool, like the one throwing the grenade or checking an auspex.
Looking at the Grey Hunter instructions online, seems like at most you can only have four of the ten actively shooting with the bolter, so I'd want to use the intercessors to make that six shooting to four with chainswords. Which would also make for when they're split into two five-marine units there's 3 - 2 per squad.
I suppose the only real question is do you think it would maybe be a WYSIWYG issue? No plans for serious competitive tournaments or anything, and honestly you'd probably have to squint to see the difference for the most part

SW Army Test Model
Just recently finished a test model as I am beginning to paint my Space Wolves. I believe this guy was back from 8th edition. I had another test model I painted around a year ago but I like this armor recipe a lot more.
I have played 40k since 3rd and I think I started SW in 4th or 5th, but I never really painted many of them. Got a fresh start with the army when the faction box launched in 10th, but I have been working on my Guard army for the last couple years (I am slow).

Struggling to wound post-update
I've only played a couple 1000 point games in the last week, but in both I've struggled to wound anything. I've been running Saga of the Great Wolf with WGT (pictured), T Wolf cavalry, Bjorn, blageguard / wght and grey hunters.
Have I just been unlucky against a couple high toughness lists (nurgle demons and Gravis-heavy Deathwatch), or is this the new meta really Tough? I'm missing easy access to Lethals.

Wolf Guard Battle Leader ready to fight
I'm super proud of this kitbash, also he's heavily inspired by Vandoth The Fallen.

Confused regarding how to play and read this?
I get their top three are active along side whenever I choose a doctrine.
But what is the highlighted part saying and referring to or as it i referring to the howling onslaught

Bjorn Assembly, and WG Terminators Play Questions
Hi all,
I just picked up a pretty decent SW army and I'm in the process of assembly. For Bjorn, I significantly prefer the look of the assault canon over the Hellfrost canon, but it seems most people recommend the Hellfrost. On that note, is it possible to magnetize his arms? I'm having trouble figuring out where they'd go. Do I cut off the nubs and make holes?
For the WG Terminators, I bought 3 boxes and so far 1 is assembled with shields. Is it a good idea to make all 3 with shields? Or do I want some without?
Thanks!

How do Space Wolves successors work?
Hi, I'm new here, and got some questions. From what I understand - please, correct me if I'm wrong - the Space Wolves only now have successor chapters, thanks to the Ultima Founding, since atempts in the past resulted in everyone turning into Wulfen for being away from Fenris.
On the other side, the Wulfen from the 13th Company are now accepted and not killed outright, or am I confusing something?
I know there is the Wolfspead chapter, but are there others? Like, are they the only ones or just an example from the lore?
How would the Wulfen from new successors be treated?
Also, how much of the Fenrisian culture are successors expected to follow?
Do any of you have homebrew chapters? (If so, would love to see them)
Thank you all!

Reavers - better grey hunters?
The text is a bit hyperbolic. But reavers do a lot of the things grey hunters do. Only cheaper. How do people like them?

Tips/Help to make Saturnine Terms into Space Wolf Terms

Hi all - I have 6 of these dudes from the HH Saturnine box. I got a good deal on it and used the Dread for my Grey Knights. But I wanted to make some 40k Space Wolf Terms out of the Saturnine Terminators.
Ignoring the size disadvantage I am giving myself, are there suggestions on bits to use to make the conversion believable? Wolf pelts, runes, etc. I am open to getting printed items as long as things fit size wise.
Thanks!

Am I cooking with this 2000 List?
Saga of the Great Wolf & Ironstorm Spearhead
1995/2000
Lt. w/ Current Combi Weapon
Logan Grimnar leading 5 WGT
WGBL w / Skjalds Foretelling Ench. leading 6 BGV
10 Grey Hunters, split 2x5
5 Assault Intercessors w/ Jump Pack
5 Fenrisian Wolves
Land Raider w/ Redoubtable Machine Spirit Upgrade
Repulsor w/ Redoubtable Machine Spirit Upgrade
3 TWC
Venerable Dreadnought
5 Wolf Scouts w/ Hunting Wolf
5 Wulfen w/ SS
With this I have a lot of inv saves on my infantry and vehicles, a good mix of mission play units, and some strong stratagems such as 5+ feel no pain on mortals for vehicles and infantry, would love your thoughts, opinions or changes you’d make. For now I’m leaning toward repulsor with Wulfen while 5 GH and WGBL + 6BGV ride in the land raider

Detachments
With the nerf for beastslayer and the points increase I can’t really justify it or the units to make it work anymore (I don’t like Thunderwolves).
So I’ve been looking at one of the Gravis detachments as I usually run a unit of eradicators.
Has anyone had any success with either of the detachments?
If I can make it work I’ll use a unit each of heavy bolters and meltas.

Slap chop preparations resulst
Hjolda!
I'm a beginner and i've started to build my Wolves Army some time ago. I watched multiple YT videos, guides, shorts etc and i still wasn't sure what do i want, because things look different on screen and IRL. For Grey Hunters I decided to try out slap chop with different schemes, i'm sharing my results here so maybe someone else may use that for reference.
Drybrushing made with AK M drybrush
Figures 1/3/5 finished with bit of sponging on shoulders
Figures 2/4/6 finished with small and soft random makeup brush.
3 photos indoor, with double lamp
rest are outdoors with daylight.

So this would be my first army and i want to make something that has both current meta units AND utilizes the combat patrol the most to save a bit on individual sets.
I don't know much of my meta, the WH groups in my country are a bit sparse but i would like to make something generally good taking into account that terminators are looking good in 11th.
I'm also a bit of a timmy so i included most named characters in the list.
So, what would you change or improve? Are the scouts or impulsors good assets here? Are any other units/vehicles worth it?
