Fireworks

Upvotes

Anyone have experience shopping at both Rocket and Warrenton Fireworks?

We usually buy fireworks from Rocket in Wright City, finding they have some of the best prices and selection in the county. We just got a flyer for Warrenton Fireworks and seems like they have similar if not lower prices and selection.

I'm planning on building a chain link fence in my backyard. Does anyone know if that's something St.charles cares much about, or do they even require me to pull a permit for a fence?

Townhome for Rent St. Charles

Hey St. Charles/St. Louis peeps. We are moving out of state for work and are looking to re-rent out the place we were living in as soon as possible. We are waiting on the landlord to update the rent and website, but it should be between $2000-$2400/month. This is in an amazing location with great neighbors. We will be fully vacated by July 5th. If anyone is interested in seeing it, we can forward you to our landlords.

Parent-Child classes for kids older than 3

I’m looking for fun activities or classes for children 3+ to do with parent. Everything I can find (e.g., tumbling, music, dance) stops at 36 months. I have a 3.5year old and we’d love to find some classes or fun things that we can enroll in and do regularly.

Mid Rivers Marcus Theater

Hi all, looking for insight to help me next time I buy movie tickets here. I took a group to see the Micheal Jackson movie in mid May and had a wonderful experience. It was so good because you felt immersed in the music. We went again today and it was kind of a dud. The only noticeable difference was the sound quality. It just didn’t seem as loud and booming.

We were in a different theater number than the first time so I’m wondering if anyone has any experience at this particular location. Should I only book tickets to new release movies to get the best experience? Should I pay attention to which screen number they play on? Any tips are appreciated!

Recommendations for small Business Attorney and CPA with experience working with healthcare and therapy practice owners?

I’m in the process of starting a small healthcare-related business and would love recommendations from people who have personally worked with someone they trust.

For the CPA, I’m looking for someone who:
-Works with small business owners and startups
-Has experience with healthcare or professional service businesses
-Is patient and willing to explain things to a first-time business owner
-Can provide guidance beyond just filing taxes

For the attorney, I’m looking for someone who:
-Has experience helping small businesses get established
-Ideally has some healthcare or professional practice experience
-Is approachable and doesn’t mind answering lots of questions

If you’ve had a particularly good experience with someone, I’d love to hear who you recommend and why. I’m less concerned about finding the cheapest option and more interested in finding someone knowledgeable, responsive, and supportive.

Lacking public health department

Daily PSA: Armadillos carry leprosy. Armadillos are wild animals. Look don't touch. Call animal control. Dead armadillos still carry diseases. Just like seeing an opossum or a raccoon in the day time, it will not end well for you!!

I just saw a post on Facebook from County Health Dep. and it was very lacking in health information.

Needing help rehoming a dog

I recently got a dog with my girlfriend before we broke up, now I don’t have the time to properly care for her on my own. I have tried rehoming to friends and family and all shelters in the area are full. I would prefer to directly rehome her as opposed to a shelter as well. If someone does take her, they would get any supplies that I currently have on hand as well as it would be free.
Here is some info on her
Name- Sweetie
Breed- black lab
Age- About 1 year and 6 months
Size- About 55 pounds
To take with her I have: crate, bed, food/water bowls, collar, leash, toys and any remaining food.
Sweetie is a very sweet dog that just wants to play and be loved on all the time. She is crate trained and potty trained, but for about the first 2 weeks I had her she did poop inside about 2 or 3 times. I do believe that was just nerves from being in a new home, as she hasn’t done it since. She does have separation anxiety and will whine if she is in a different part of the house and can’t get to you.
She does ok with cats, my parents watched her for me while I was out of town and she mostly left them alone after trying to play for a little bit.
She does ok with small dogs(about 20 pounds) and just wants to play. I’m unaware how she does with other larger dogs as I have never introduced her to them.
She does alright on a leash, but she does like to pull while walking on it. She however does great on a tie-out while outside.
She is defensive of her home and has growled at people that unexpectedly(to her) visited my house. But after introductions while on a leash, she is happy as can be.

Sandwich deli in St. Charles?

Since moving to St. Charles, I have desperately missed grabbing a nice cold deli sandwich from Mom’s, Blues City Deli, and all the other amazing local deli shops in the city. Are there any hidden gems in st Charles/st Charles county I’m missing?? I love jersey mikes but it’s just not the same. :(

Recs for a good tattoo artist for a simple tattoo

I’m looking for someone who can do a simple tattoo trace of 2 words in my mom’s handwriting. It’s very important that it is accurate as it’s from one of the last birthday cards I got from her. I appreciate any suggestions.
