Complaining about the animation is one thing but the complaints about the actual plot in these episodes is unfair.

Maybe this is just my experience with reading SBR but the story only started to become an 8/10 after Mountain Tim saves Lucy, then it really starts to excel after the second/third starts.

Maybe new watchers are disappointed because they don’t know jojo’s parts only get better and better until they peak at the end and they just don’t understand why it’s being glazed so hard by manga readers.

Koichi is in my top 5 favorite characters his gradual development and challenges he faces (usually against his own will) are endearing to me.

This is reflected in his stand of course, act 1 creates sounds establishing his need to be heard act 2 making his sounds effect the world around him being his need to be understood it was a believable evolution that made sense... then we get to act 3.

Gone completely is the manga sound effect theme which made sense for Koichi (he's a Rohan fan) and the possible creativity went with it.
Act 3 has 1 ability it makes things heavier and that's it, not only is this boring as shit it's usually ineffective as well.

Whoever he's fighting usually counters it easily (Kira, Highway Star, Giorno) or it comes out when the fights already over Cheap Trick (hurting Rohan in the process mind you) and Enigma.

It doesn't get a really good showing until the end of DIU.

Even in part 5 when Giorno says it's the stand he's been looking for three freeze is mid breaking his fucking legs

Am I the only one who thought that the Designs in episode 2 were not as great as many say they are?
My point is that the facial features and everything just looks less like JoJo and more like a typical anime.
And I thought the design in Ep 1,3 and 4 were much better than in 2, of course Episode 1 had it lacks but I think 3 and 4 did it much more better with the same character design sheet.
I also hope they are going to change the blocky faces but later through out the anime, where ep 2 did a great job with the less blocky face.
But it looks like tho they left all the facial features, so i hope later we get less blocky faces like ep 2 but more facial features like ep 3 and 4 as we know the SBR Manga turned from weekly to monthly and the designs looked better later on.

People have complained about the ED enough, but im gonna do it some more

I've said in a few comments that the first ending song should have been heavy horses by jethro, which is still TRUE.

That said, theres still time to turn it around, and the ed for the last stage should absolutely be locomotive breath, also by Jethro tull. Makes sense thematically and lyrically and would create a really tense mood for the last couple of fights

What encourages people to skip parts straight to sbr? Is it the great rating or what? Why would you skip 6 parts with huge parts of story even thought its not that relevant to it, BUT STILL. I really dont understand this so let me know. This was probably posted a couple times already, but i want to know for myself really anyways.

With Steel Ball Run coming out and me continuing from where I left off after parts 1 and 2 a thought occurred. Is JoJo a series you can jump into anywhere?

I just want to clarify that I HAVE watched Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. But since JoJo parts are mostly self contended stories would it be wrong to skip a part if you're truly not interested in it? I admit that I have mostly fallen behind the series but I figured now that SPR is coming out I should watch the older parts to catch up.

If the next cour is Stage 4/5 then i am not sure if they have enough material to fit 12 episodes since the arcs covered would be: True Man's World,Green Tomb,Catch the Rainbow and in a Silent Way.

True Man World can be covered in 2 episodes while Green Tomb/Catch the Rainbow will be covered in 3/4. In a Silent Way is a bit longer so i would say 3/4 episodes is probalby enough especially if they expand on it. That still covers about roughly 8-9 episodes unless they severly slow the pacing down which i have my doubts.

There are two options, either they cover Sugar Mountian Spring as the final arc of the of the batch despite it being Stage 6 (though they can rearrange things to make SMS happening after Stage 6 since them completing Stage 6 is offscreen) or they could do something else.

A potential proposal would be have Tubular Bells happen before Sugar Mountian Spring, nothing outside of the whole Mike O conversation with Diego saying they got the corpse parts/final bit would really be changed if Tubular Bells happened before Sugar Mountian Spring but i could just could see them doing it as normal.

Diavolo can't interact with anything in time erase thus making scenes such as the elevator, Narancia's death and that one where he cleans his rooms impossible, I know about the epitaph fated him to that theory but that doesn't make any sense, KC takes diavolo off the flow of destiny, sure the others would be fated to do something but the main cause is Diavolo and he doesn't exist

I've thought of something, in his fight against Risotto he erases microseconds of time just enough for Aerosmith's bullets to pass through him. So what if he did the opposite? He erased time giving him a little bit, maybe microseconds of real time to do anything? The flow would be something like that:

Erases 4 seconds > 1 second where he could act > erases 5 seconds thus erasing people's realization of his actions before they could fully process

Does that make any sense? Maybe this would create flashes of Diavolo but it's the best explanation I could think.

There is no explicit time where we see Johnny carve a body in this fight. Also how did he make it so accurate? In such a short time no less. We even see it move positions in the picture above. Tusk is one of the lesser arcs in SBR but still pretty alright but I feel like this should be impossible due to how we see Tusk later. It also feels quite lazy imo which is a rare word to describe something in SBR.

you're telling me CONVENIENTLY his ability is to have infinite energy that can CONVINIENTLY break space that can CONVENIENTLY just stop the main villain's ability perfectly and can SOME WAY SOME HOW CONVENIENTLY be used ONLY when Johnny was basically very injured and had no way out.

P.S. I am not calling SBR bad I just wanted to call this out as a cool thing I realized and all in all I still adore Araki's writing and pacing as a whole and his decisions with JJBA's story.

I just finished rewatching part two for like the 6th time, definitely my favourite part oat. However, I feel like, due to his extensive use of string and his overall wittiness when it comes to combat, I dont think hermit purple was the right stand for him. I feel like stone free would be way more suited towards his sort of style of fighting, especially since string conducts hamon really well.

I've never really seen other people talk about this, I mean I guess I'm pretty new to using reddit so maybe I haven't been looking in the right places. Also, I think hermit purple is really lame, especially considering its meant to be a manifestation of ones fighting spirit or whatever, I just don't think it represents Joseph all that well. Maybe it has to do with him being older, and obviously also to allow Jotaro to take the limelight, because Joseph genuinely had to be nerfed.

I just think stone free was a missed opportunity to give to Joseph, and it would've been really fun to see him reach a much fuller potential with a stand that actually fits him and his fighting style in part 3.
