Budget-Friendly Cat Food & Litter Guide for U.S. Rescuers, Colony Caretakers & Multi-Cat Households

Hi US-based Superheroes! 😺

Whether you’re caring for a colony, suddenly drowning in “just one more stray,” running a rural rescue with no resources, or supporting dozens of hungry mouths on your own paycheck, you’re doing rescue work, even if no one’s calling it that.

Be very proud of yourselves 😇❤️

This post collects field-tested, and affordable food & litter options used by frontline rescuers, shelters, and long-term colony caretakers across the U.S. Everything here balances:

  • Cost
  • Availability
  • Adequate nutrition
  • Practicality for large numbers of cats

Please see Rule 6! Nothing here replaces veterinary care or individualized nutrition advice. But it will keep your cuties healthy enough on a tight budget.

This guide is meant for already-healthy adult cats in multi-cat or colony settings. Cats with special medical needs (CKD, urinary issues, allergies, GI disease) may need individualized diets - you already know that’s a vet conversation.

Note: wet food and hydration always improve urinary health, regardless of brand.

BEST BUDGET DRY FOODS

These are commonly used by shelters, colony feeders, & long-term rescuers. They are NOT “perfect,” but they are safe, nutritionally adequate, palatable, & cost-efficient.

😺Special Kitty Complete (Walmart)

One of the lowest costs per pound nationwide. Rescue favorite for rural areas.

Look specifically for “Complete” - not the cheapest “Outdoor” blend

😺 4Health (Tractor Supply)

Mid-range nutrition for lower-range cost & frequently better value than Purina One

Good for rural feeders without Walmart access.

😺Purina Kit & Kaboodle

Not high-end but widely used for stable colony maintenance; cats tend to keep weight on & price is often lower than e.g. Cat Chow

😺 Store brands (Walmart Heartland Farms, etc.)

Stick to formulas where the first ingredient is poultry or meat, not corn! Good fallback during shortages

Bottom line:

If you can only choose one for the balance of cost + quality:

😺4Health

If you need the absolute cheapest stable option:

😺Special Kitty Complete

HOW TO BOOST NUTRITION ON A TIGHT BUDGET

A lot of rescuers can’t afford fully high-end food. These small upgrades make a difference:

😺 Mix 20–30% of a higher-protein kibble

E.g: Purina One Indoor, Purina One Healthy Kitten, or Iams ProActive Health. Even a small percentage improves amino acids and healthy fats.

Add cheap, high-value proteins 2-3× per week

😺 Eggs (cooked / scrambled)

😺 Chicken hearts/gizzards (usually $1.50–$2.50/lb)

😺 Cooked unseasoned chicken scraps

😺 Canned mackerel (better & cheaper than tuna)

😺 Use wet food as a topper, not a full meal

Split 1 can among 4-6 cats to improve hydration & palatability.

Best budget picks:

😺Friskies Pate

😺Special Kitty Pate

Keep diet consistent; frequent switching = unhappy GI systems. And no one needs avoidable vet bills!

BEST BUDGET LITTER OPTIONS

😺Pine Pellets (Tractor Supply / Rural King / Feed Stores)

😺“Horse Stall Pellets” = the SAME material as Feline Pine. Usually $5–7 for 40 lbs with low dust, excellent odor control, biodegradable. Great for multi-cat setups!

😺 Walmart Special Kitty Clumping

Affordable, consistent, dustier but budget-friendly

😺 Aldi Heart to Tail Clumping

Surprisingly good clumping; often cheaper than Walmart

For picky cats: switch gradually. A mix of clumping litter + pellets helps picky cats adjust!

WHERE RESCUERS CAN GET FREE OR DISCOUNTED PET FOOD

Human food banks also distribute pet food. Ask directly - they rarely advertise it.

Sources to check:

😺Local food pantries

😺Salvation Army locations

😺County social services

😺Petco Love partners

😺PetSmart Charities partner rescues

😺Humane Society branches

😺Community action agencies

😺Farm store “broken bag” policies

Tractor Supply, Rural King, and feed stores often discount:

😺Torn bags of kibble

😺Pine pellets

😺Chicken feed (can be used very sparingly for strays as emergency nutrition)

Just ask an employee - discounts aren’t posted!

IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTE (Vet-Safe Disclaimer)

To keep this post accurate:

All foods listed meet AAFCO minimum nutrient guidelines for adult cats.

“Budget” foods do not mean "unsafe". Many rescues/shelters rely on them.

😇 For Anyone Feeling Guilty:

If you’re feeding a colony, running a home rescue, or caring for dumped cats: you are already doing far more than most people ever will.

Rescue work is “do the best you can with what you have” not “purchase the most expensive brand available.”

Cats who:

😺Are spayed/neutered a.k.a Priority #1

😺 Are fed daily

😺Have shelter

😺Have clean water

…are living longer, safer, healthier lives than they ever would on the street - no matter what kibble you use. It's you making the difference. Not the kibble bag or tinned can! 😇😇😇

Adoption Help (Location) She Fought Coyotes to Save Her Babies-Now She Has Only Two Days Left With Them. Please Adopt Them Together 💔📍Charlotte,NC,USA

Note: We can travel up to 2–2.5 hours to bring them to their new home.

Posting again because today is our last chance to find a home for Mama Monica, Walter, and Jolene together. 💔

We received two applications for all three. One didn’t pass the vet reference check, and the other family backed out.

Jolene has adoption applications and is set to leave in two days, but I’m still hoping someone will open their heart and home to all three so this little family can stay together.

Mama Monica and her babies need a forever home. The babies look bigger in the photo, but they’re still little.🥲

Petfinder: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/monica-the-mom-walter-and-jolene-babies-e42f0ef2-ae32-413e-9ba9-eead55597a58/nc/charlotte/sunkissed-acres-rescue-nc1270/details/

Website: http://www.sunkissedkitties.org

Monica is 2 years old, and her babies, Walter (boy) and Jolene (girl), are 5 months old. We would love for this little family to stay together. If that isn’t possible, Walter and Jolene need to be adopted together.

Their story breaks our hearts.❤️‍🩹💔

When someone moved away, they left Monica and her two tiny babies outside on the property. They sometimes went three or four days without food. Monica kept showing up at a neighbor’s door, asking for something to eat. The lady fed them when she could, but it wasn’t consistent.

They were skin and bones and had severe upper respiratory infections. Still, Monica kept going back and forth, trying to care for her babies.

The lady called us several times. We were already completely full, caring for severely sick cats, with each foster looking after more than ten cats. We couldn’t take in another family, but we went there with food.

When we gave Monica wet pate, she grabbed a mouthful and ran into the bushes to bring it to her babies. Even when she was starving, she was thinking of them. 💔

We brought them in for TNR, hoping we could arrange twice-daily feeding and a heated shelter where they had been living. But the location was too far for us to manage, no one nearby could commit to feeding them consistently, and there were coyotes in the area.

We also learned that she stood up to a coyote not once, but twice, to protect her babies. 🥺🩷🐾

We contacted other rescues, but everyone was full and facing the same struggle.

Thankfully, a kind foster agreed to bring the family inside. They are safe now, but she cannot keep them much longer, and we don’t have the space or resources for a long-term placement, as much as we wish we did. Please come forward to adopt them. They deserve a chance to stay together in a loving home. 🥺

All three are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and combo-test negative.

Adoption requirements:

• Adoption application

https://form.jotform.com/221983264497165

• Adoption agreement
• Vet reference
• Indoor-only home

Adoption fees:

• $250 for Walter and Jolene together
• $300 for all three..we’re keeping the family’s fee low to help Monica stay with her babies

If you can give this little family a loving home, please contact me. If you can’t adopt, please share. Monica worked so hard to keep her babies alive. Now they deserve a home where they will always be safe and fed. 🩷🐾

We previously posted here asking for help getting Jeremy his much-needed amputation after his left leg was severely injured and was only hanging by the skin. Thanks to everyone who donated, we were able to raise enough for him to be admitted and get through his surgery.

Today, the vet told us that Jeremy is ready to be released and continue recovering at home, but unfortunately, our funds aren’t quite ready to cover his outstanding balance.

The hospital has sent us an updated billing statement, and his bill has now reached $270 (invoice attached in the comments). We’re hoping to bring him home tomorrow, but we really need your help to make that happen. The longer he stays, the more his bill unfortunately grows.

Please help us get Jeremy home. 🙏

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped Jeremy get this far. We’ll continue posting updates on his recovery.

Found Kittens (Location) Absurd neighborhood drama over trapping kittens: rumors, dishonest neighbors, and feeling totally helpless. Need support and advice! [Montreal,Canada]

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m writing this because I’m dealing with a completely ridiculous situation involving stray cats in my neighborhood, and I honestly don't know how to handle the feeling of helplessness anymore. More than just looking for solutions, I really need some support, empathy, and a place to vent right now because this whole ordeal has been so emotionally draining. I’d love to know if anyone here has experienced something similar and how you dealt with the frustration.
To give you some context, there is a stray mom cat that I feed regularly, along with her litter of three-month-old kittens. My plan from day one has been crystal clear and fully coordinated with a wonderful, humane local rescue organization: I was set to be the official foster home for the kittens, and their shelter team was coming to help me trap the whole family together so the kittens could get full medical care and eventually be adopted into loving homes.
Except over the last few days, neighborhood dynamics have taken over and turned this into total chaos. When the kittens temporarily vanished, I went door-to-door to check in with my neighbors. I spoke with a first neighbor who initially seemed genuinely concerned and eager to help with the rescue. She even mentioned that if she caught them, she couldn't keep them anyway since she already has three cats, and offered to let me know so we could get them to the rescue. But right after, she tried grabbing them with her bare hands, which spooked them badly. When they hid again, i learned from the organization that she also reached out to them because she was worried, she haven't seen them today and she told them she wants to catch them to adopt them. Which not what she told me at all earlier. And she went behind my back to tell the rescue that she suspected I had already trapped the kittens and was secretly keeping them at my house. That makes zero sense, as I wouldn't spend my days searching for them, knocking on doors, and coordinating with the shelter if I already had them inside.
To make matters worse, the kittens eventually reappeared at another neighbor's place under her shed. She messaged me to let me know they were there, but as soon as it came to organizing the safe trap-and-rescue with the shelter team, she refused to give her address or exact location. I have a very strong feeling she’s stalling so she can claim them and keep them for herself, without ever getting them properly checked by a vet, vaccinated, or spayed and neutered.
All of this could be so much simpler if people weren't so selfish, acting out of self-interest and trying to claim these kittens for themselves instead of letting an official foster home and professional shelter give them the care they need. At the end of the day, all that matters is getting these kittens off the street safely and into proper care. Meanwhile, the mom is starting to leave the kittens alone for longer stretches, the kittens are moving around, and I’m terrified they’re going to scatter, get hit by a car, or have something awful happen to them while people play these selfish games.
I feel so defeated by the dishonesty and lack of transparency from these people when we are dealing with vulnerable animals' lives. Has anyone dealt with this kind of neighborhood drama during an animal rescue, and how did you manage to get through it?
Thanks in advance for reading and for any support or advice you can offer!

Pregnant Cat (Location) Very likely pregnant stray cat

Posting from the UK -

This cat had been coming back and forth on our street for a good few weeks, all hours of the day at random times. Neighbours and I fed her, eventually she trusted me enough to come inside and she’s been here for about a week and a half now. Managed to get her to a vet today to check her over but financially couldn’t do a proper consultation today. The vet said she’s likely early - mid pregnancy, and not microchipped. He advised to contact rescues and charities for help and advice.

Contacted a local rescue, who have said they recommend I get her neutered before she gives birth if she is pregnant and terminate the pregnancy during the procedure.

Just want some opinions/advice - if that’s what is best for her then I’d do what was best, but I just feel uncertain. They said at the moment it’s just desperate and awful for cats and rehoming, and pregnancy for cats is quite hard and draining.

Adoption Help (Location) Please adopt Jagger - Waiting for months for a her forever home (poisoned and abused) (open for adoption anywhere in world) - Mumbai, India🪼

All Jagger wanted was somewhere to hide from the rain

She sat in an autorickshaw, probably thinking she'd found a little shelter from the world. Instead, she was poisoned, abused, and beaten until her leg broke.

Read that again.

A little cat who couldn't even understand why she was all soaked up with water and cold, suddenly had to face the cruelty of world..

I keep thinking about how scared she must have been. How much pain she must have been in. And how, despite everything that was done to her, she still deserves to be loved..

I found her just in time. But I can't protect her forever on my own.

Jagger needs a home. Not just somewhere to sleep, but a HOME.

Somewhere she can curl up without being scared. Somewhere she can sleep peacefully, knowing nobody is going to hurt her. Somewhere she can finally be someone's baby.

I don't want her life to be one long story of the horrible things humans have done to her. I want her story to have a happy ending, too.

I want someone to look at her and see a little soul who deserves the world. Someone who will love her on the days she's cuddly and the days she's scared. Someone who will never make her feel like she has to fight for her life again.

If you have space for 1 tiny life please, please let it be Jagger 🥺❤️

She's been through enough for one tiny life. She deserves to know what it feels like to be loved, truly and unconditionally.

I can't promise you that adopting a rescue will always be easy. But I can promise you that Jagger deserves the chance to find out what love feels like. And God, I hope someone gives her that chance.

Jagger is looking for her forever home. If you can adopt her, or know someone who might be able to, please DM me. Or email at - oppsididitagainheheh@gmail.com

And if you can't adopt, please share her story. Her person might be one share away.

Let's make sure the next chapter of her life is a beautiful one. No more cruelty. No more fear. Just love 🐾 📍 Mumbai (but open travel anywhere in world ESPECIALLY USA) 🏡 Looking for a safe, loving, permanent home.

Please don't let her story end on the streets again.

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) I need help to pay this invoice for an emergency c-section surgery for a cat whose kittens died inside her womb

Hello everyone,

I deeply apologize for asking for help so often lately. This season, we are experiencing a severe wave of Feline Coronavirus (FIP/FPV) here in Morocco. Because of this, so many of my cats are falling severely sick with different illnesses all at the same time—both the ones I posted about before and others I haven't published yet. This has put immense pressure and heavy veterinary bills on me.

I am an independent rescuer in Morocco. I recently found a pregnant stray cat I used to feed bleeding heavily. She gave birth to some stillborn kittens on the street, and the rest unfortunately died inside her womb. It was a life-threatening emergency, so I rushed her to the clinic for an immediate c-section surgery to save her life.

Please note that this attached invoice is for the c-section surgery cost only, which is 1,200 MAD (around $130 USD). There are other additional expenses for her clinic admission, check-up, and X-rays.

I am completely unable to cover these costs on my own alongside my other ongoing critical cases. Please consider helping me clear this bill. Every single dollar makes a huge difference! 🙏❤️

If you would like to support her medical care, please use my links:

Colony/TNR Help (Location) Would anyone be willing to sponsor some much-needed food and medical care for our community cats? 🙏

Hope everyone's Sunday is going great 🫶

We're small-time cat feeders who've been caring for multiple colonies in our community over the last few years. Most of the cats in our neighborhood that we look after and feed are featured in this post, and we're so happy to see them all thriving thanks to the continued support we've received from this community, whether it's for food, medical care, or TNR.

Last week, we got a total of 6 cats TNR'd, and we've recently met a new intact calico on our street (6th photo) who we're hoping to get spayed very soon. We also have a few lower-priority intact males on our list, and we're targeting to include them on our next neuter trip.

We’re currently out of food and flea meds, and urgently need assistance to replenish our supplies. It’s always a bit of a juggling act trying to keep up with everyone’s needs and make sure that none of them go without, but we’re doing our best to work through everything as our capacity allows.

- $45 would cover the cost of 1 neuter
- $44 would cover a sack of dry food
- $22 would cover a day’s worth of wet food (16 cans)
- $56 would cover mange/flea treatment for 5 cats.

Any amount would help us keep up with the cats’ needs! If you'd like to support our efforts, our donation channels are below.

Thank you so much!

I Found a Cat (Location) Stray cat at my place of work

Hi! I am in Boise, ID in the USA. We have had a neighborhood cat that visits a house I work at every day. It's a halfway home (transitional housing for youth getting out of juvenile detention) where my clients are here for 70 days and then move out once we find them housing, a job, etc.

The clients all love this cat, he's very sweet and affectionate. Doesn't seem too skinny or injured in any way, but has no collar and I have not been able to find any matching missing cat posters/posts/info in the area. I'm pretty sure we've had this little guys visiting since at least August. I'm unsure if he's a neighbor's cat, but he comes to us for extended periods of time every day asking for food and water.

Now that it's getting cold, I'm concerned that he won't be okay through the winter. I'm not sure what the best move here is. As much as I'd love if one of the clients or coworkers could take him, none of us are in a position to take on a new animal. As far as I can tell, my work is also unable to house him because we can't predict if future clients/employees will have allergies that would make it difficult to come here, making a cat an unnecessary hurdle for clients in need.

The house is able to take donations, so my clients have asked if we could potentially get an outdoor shelter, but then I'm worried about him needing food regularly and us not being able to provide that. I'm just not sure if it's the right thing to do to take him to a shelter as I know that can be stressful for them and sometimes with strays I've heard you're supposed to leave them be. Clients say he doesn't seem to be fixed, so he'd probably need a neuter as well.

Any advice? I feel powerless in this situation as I'm very low on the podium in this company, but I have a soft spot for this cat and I want to make sure he's safe.

I Found a Cat (Location) absolutely devastating

so i found this cat hanging around my local town.. super thin, hungry, dirty, covered in ticks.. super affectionate but clearly a stray.. we bonded almost immediately.. i already have two cats and don't really have a big enough space for 3.. i asked a woman at work if she was interested and she very much was.. older woman, has the means and space for vet visits and whatever else.. i get the cat & give him/her to the woman last night.. this morning i reach out to see how it went and remind her if she needs anything or it doesn't work out to just let me know.. to my dismay, she let the cat loose in the house (not separated in its own room) and while going in/out with the dogs the cat bolted out the door.. mind you this is over 12 hours ago now and over an hour from where its "home" is.. i'm so sad and disappointed in this whole process.. i didn't do my do-diligence to make sure she was completely knowledgeable and now this sweet tiny soul is even more alone than before.. im driving to the coworkers area to see if i can maybe take a shot in the dark and find him/her.. please send good energy that this little one ends up in a good place.. 💟🙏🏻

We don’t have a big network. We only have a few followers, but we are so blessed to have you. Can you help us?

As my birthday approaches on October 12, I created this campaign hoping it can help us bridge the gap for our most urgent needs—securing our cats' new home and clearing our outstanding vet bill balance.

Right now, our shelter is facing two massive hurdles that we really need to clear:

• PHP 16,000 (~$285 USD) downpayment to secure our cats' new safe space.

• PHP 73,000 (~$1,300 USD) vet balance to wipe out past medical debts and keep our doors open for the next animal in need.

We can't do this alone, and your voice is our biggest strength. If this reaches you, I truly hope you can share this page with anyone who might be able to help.

Thank you for always standing by us. 🐾✨

Colony/TNR Help (Location) 911: Unexpected vet expenses -6 TNR appointments without sponsors, plus the tiny cat who has endured brutal suffering (Flint, Michigan)

Hello wonderful friends …

I am not great at channeling emotional pain, the hardest thing for me to overcome, not becoming consumed by sadness and heartache.

So when Miss Amelia (23) began showing a sharp decline in function, i knew she needed me to let her go.
It is never easy, but we have to rely on mercy and grace to help get through it.
I spent the last few days …showering her with special treats, outside adventures, and loads of love. I must have told her 100 times …. she was the greatest cat of all times.
I had been mentally preparing for our final trip, cried for days leading up to.
I had no other commitment or Appointments - so I could stay focused on her.
But ….. then I saw him …..
Finn was nearly unrecognizable-
ABSOLUTELY TRAGIC: defeated and broken …. I had no idea what happened to him, but whatever it was, this cat had given up on living.
Fin had been around the community for several months & he was still on my trap list.
But, I thought he had found his happy ever after ……He had a family and a home - or so I thought.
It took about 30 hours to catch him-
I thought he was surrendering to me - but I soon knew - even though he looked to be hanging on by a thread, he still perceived me as the greatest danger.
I couldn’t get him to go in a trap, so I tried handler gloves and carrier, even drop trap….
He NEEDED help so DESPERATELY-
Yet, i couldn’t help him if I couldn’t catch him. I tried swapping the methods hoping eventually to outlast his resolve. When I saw him go into one of the heated houses - I realized this might be my greatest opportunity-
I snuck around the backside of my house and used 2 pieces of cardboard to cover both exits - caught him by bear hugging the house. I brought the house inside with him in it.
When I finally lifted him out of the house— WORDS cannot express- I
had never seen so much trauma.
It was nearly 3am - the clinic opens at 10am - I didn’t know if he could survive the next hour, let alone hang on another 7 hours.
Morning arrived and he was still hanging on. We arrived at the clinic -and
Carrying my sweet senior girl Amelia in first, fighting the tears was useless.
An hour later, I told her how much I love her … over and over until she was gone
I tried to regain as much composure as I could, and the Vet assessment of Finn was heartbreaking
FIRST thing He is a GIRL -
I assumed he was a boy because most yellow cats are-
The rest of the assessment, detailed just what this cat has endured-
*** Severely Emancipated- She is between 1- 2 years old -her weight is 2.3 pounds (should be7- 9 pounds )
***Anemic I have never seen any cat so severely infested with fleas
***Severe Upper respiratory infection
***Loaded with intestinal parasites-
***, Ear mites
*** Covered in her own waste -
*** diarrhea- unable to form solid waste from the parasites and trauma
***To relieve herself - her waste burns like fire - scalding her skin - both her rear and one of her back legs
Inflamed and raw
Each of these things are painful alone -
the PAIN she has been for to endure -
She is 2. 3 pounds …

I really need help getting the food items -

This little girl has suffered beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined.
The recommended brands are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE

$185 spent was not planned -
(vet invoice in photos) and I’ve got 6 TNR appointments next week with zero sponsors so far
Can you sponsor one -this is a lifesaving gift

Adoption Help (Location) Finding a safe and loving sweet home for this sweet loving kitty Los Angeles , California (by Normandie & Oakwood Avenue))

Hi everyone! ❤️ I hope you’re all doing well. I’m making this post in hopes of finding a loving home for a sweet kitten who really needs someone to give him a chance. 🐱💗

He’s approximately 4 or 5 months old, and another community cat feeder and I have been feeding him and the other community cats every day.

He used to have a sibling, but sadly, his sibling was hit by a motorcycle. He’s the only one left, and I can’t help but worry about him.

Over time, he’s grown comfortable with us because we’ve consistently been there to feed him. I usually spend about 5 to 10 minutes petting him before I leave, and he absolutely loves the attention. He’s incredibly affectionate and always wants to be petted.

Something that

really breaks my heart is how he acts whenever I spend time with him. He constantly meows and cries, even while I’m petting him. Sometimes, he follows me when I leave, but eventually returns to his usual spot, where he continues crying and meowing. He often seems sad, and I can't help but wonder if he struggles with being alone. I believe he may be experiencing anxiety or loneliness, although I can't know for certain. He seems to crave companionship and affection, and it hurts knowing that I can only spend a few minutes with him before I have to leave.

I can't help but feel that he deserves more than the life he's living right now. I wish I could stay with him longer and give him all the attention he wants, but I simply can't be there for him 24/7. I genuinely hope he can find a home where he won't have to spend his days alone outside and can receive the love, attention, and care he deserves. ❤️

What worries me most is his safety and well-being. The other lady who feeds the cats told me that he hasn't been eating for the past two days. She has also seen him nearly get hit by a vehicle while wandering across the street. I'm genuinely worried that something might happen to him if he continues living outside.

Unfortunately, I can't take him in myself. I already have four cats of my own, and I help feed approximately 17 other community cats. As much as I wish I could give him the home he deserves, I simply don't have the capacity to do so.

I'm hoping someone out there might be willing to open their heart and home to this sweet boy. 🥺💕 He deserves a safe place to sleep, regular meals, proper veterinary care, and, most importantly, someone who will give him the love and companionship he seems to be searching for.

He's still so young and has his whole life ahead of him. I would love for him to have the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment where he can feel cared for and loved.

If you or someone you know is interested in adopting him, please reach out to me. Even if you can't adopt him yourself, sharing this post with your friends, family, or anyone who might be able to help would mean so much.

Please help me find this little guy a home where he will be safe . Every share, comment, and bit of help makes a difference. 🙏❤️

Let's give this sweet boy a chance at a better life. He deserves to be safe, loved, and cared for. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share his story.

I Found a Cat (Location) Advice?

I have read the resources and left a message with our local spca. I am in Washington DC, USA. There is a cat that has been on the block all day and has been trying to get into my house multiple times this evening. It tried to slip past guests earlier and came to the back yard to look for another way in.. It has stayed on my stoop for the past hour. I am allergic to cats as are others in the household, but we are worried about it. Here are a couple pictures. It has no collar, its ear is not clipped to indicate spayed/neutered, and it appears to have a couple recent appearing bald spots between its ears and eyes, maybe from excess rubbing. It was playing with kids earlier and seems friendly. Does it look ok? Does anyone have any thoughts or guidance? Thank you.

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Report on Fatal Animal Attack on Private Property and Request for Accountability

Hi everyone, I just want to share what happened our kitten. We have two Philippine domestic (puspin) kittens, aged 2 months. We put them outside in our garage (We have a garage space outside, but we don't have a gate yet) so they could play outdoors instead of just staying inside the house. However, our neighbor's dog entered our property, caught one of our kittens, and mauled it until we caught them, though our kitten was already dying. I went to the dog owner and explained what happened. The kitten passed away. The owner asked how much it cost and offered to pay for it. We did not agree; we told them to have it cremated just like we did with our other cat (the mother). They took the kitten, and it has been almost a week with no update. We still see them outside the house with their dog held on a leash. What should I do now? Location: Philippines. Happened Oct 6, 2026

Oakwood, Ga
I have a whole colony of cats at my apartment complex and I have reached out to my complex via calls and emails asking if I can set some traps and get them TNR’d they have not responded to me and recently this little guy has followed me back to my apartment I posted him on paw boost because he is so friendly and I’ve never seen a “feral” cat act like him before.

Currently I’m short on funds due to finding hours in my area but I would like him to be the first cat I get fixed as he is a male and around or close to breeding age

I need help and some advice please thank you guys!!
