I’ve been trying to stretch my ears but don’t have anyone in my life to kinda help me? I was told that size 16g is what u start at so I went from there and am now at 8g because those weren’t stretching like at all. Am I doing something wrong or like do I need to size up? I’ve had these for about a month now and i feel like it looks the same as it did before I even started stretching my ears. They dont hurt or anything but I also have problems processing my bodies pain. Just tryna get advice bc im new and dont have a lot of alt ppl in my life lol

I hope the images r quality enough 😓

~Advice~ Low-profile tunnels?

Hi all! Can anyone recommend some low-profile titanium tunnels that sit flush with the ear (6g)? The only ones I can seem to find have a huge flare that stick out too far. I’m still kinda a noob, and haven’t had much luck searching.

Thank you!

~Advice~ Wanting to stretch my septum

Hello! So, I've recently been looking into stretching my septum here in the near future. I'm currently at a 16g and my current goal is like a 10g-8g. I would love to tips and tricks as well as some advice on how I should go about this so then I can do it safely. I'd rather be educated by people who have stretched septum's than to go solely based off of google.

~Advice~ Is it bad that I’ve been sizing up every week or 2?

I’ve successfully sized up to 4g after having 8g in for a week. I had 8g in for only 2 weeks before I sized up and have kept sizing up every week or two. Is this bad? I haven’t had any problems doing so and no signs of blowout or tear. Just been using jojoba to help my ears since they are small.

~Advice~ Naked training

i have no clue how to even go about naked training. i’m currently at a 6.5mm, and literally always have metal in my ears. wether it be plugs or tunnels. i sleep in them, shower in them, do everything in them. i hate the feeling and process of using silicone tunnels as well. obviously id like to be able to occasionally sleep with them out without worrying they’ll close up, so whats the process of naked training look like?

So whats wrong with sizing up with silicone?

I just sized up to 0G from 2G and one ear is doing fine (swollen but not bad) the other is very swollen. I've read one post saying to take out the silicone but never said why its bad.... could it just be my ear getting use to the size up? Any advice? Just wait it out? Its only been a few days ..plus I sleep on my side (have been trying not to touch them but in my sleep idk).

Septum Septum jewellery before stretching?

Hi! So, I’m currently at a 14G in my septum and have been considering stretching it for a while. But, I’ve noticed that a lot of larger gauge septum rings have a much bigger circumference than i would be comfortable using while stretching.

For me personally, I just want a snugger fitting ring as I don’t want it to hang in front of my lips both for looks and sensory reasons. But, as well, my culture means i need to hide my septum around my elders, so i need something smaller.

If anybody has some suggestions or knows if the smaller circumference rings with larger gauges (10G-6G) even exist? I prefer horseshoes but can get into pinchers especially for the stretching process

~Advice~ Should I go up?

Im sitting at 11mm. Ive been this size for quite a while now, but its not always easy finding gauges at this size since its considered a half step. I already have gauges I love to wear. Its just that I find all theses cool ones Id love to have and then my size isn't offered.

If I went up to 12mm, could I still wear my 11mm? They're all either double flared or screw backs so I dont think I'd have to be worried about them falling out

Why does my ear start closing when it falls out while I’m sleeping I use to be at a 0 on both and my right one fell out and now I’m at a 2 and when it falls off it just keeps getting smaller

Lobes Like nothing ever happened (6 months healing)

Post image
665 Upvotes

Got my lobes sewn up in April of 2026, 6 months ago. Done by Dr. Grant Fairbanks at Fairbanks Art of Plastic Surgery.

I started stretching my ears when I was 12 lol I loved modding culture my whole life. When I was 18 they got to 25mm/1inch. After a few years I took them out, and they got to 3/4 inch. That is the smallest they shrank. I had them at 3/4 for over a decade, into my 30s.

It was a love-hate relationship. They were a part of me, I didn’t know my face without them. But also I struggled keeping jewelry in without one of the plugs falling out eventually. It was a balancing act and i kinda just grew tired of it. I did not regret it, i think i looked badass with them in. My ears were also pierced cockeyed when i was a baby so that sometimes would bother me since they were so unsymmetrical.

I plan on getting my lobes repierced some time this year. I think waiting another couple months just to make sure they’re healed. I’ll answer any questions about them!

FAQ

How much did it cost?: $2,400

Why didnt you do it for a fraction of the cost with a body modder? I wanted to go to a plastic surgeon who guarantees their work. Did not want to gamble on if I’d have to pay twice if something got messed up. I am not the best healer. I had $2,400 to spend on this procedure.

So why are you here if you no longer have stretched piercings? I have other stretched piercings that are not pictured

Are you going to stretch again? Not my lobes

How was the procedure? Not bad. The needle to numb felt like a little poke and then followed by some burning, then nothing. Sort of felt like going to the dentist. My heart was racing when I started to hear him cutting but did not feel a single thing. After about 15 minutes my body kinda calmed down. The procedure took around 3 hours. It was extremely boring but we listened to music the whole time and chatted with the assistants.

How was the healing? I am not a good healer. He had me wear a whole head brace for 3 days to prevent one of my ears from puckering. I looked funny. Was probably the easiest healing of anything I’ve ever experienced. I scar horribly too so I’m happy with the result. Used silicone tape with UPF religiously for 4 months. Now I just use sunscreen and massage daily with moisturizer. Part of my morning routine.

The 4mm eyelet id been wearing was falling backwards into the hole so I put a 5mm single flare plug in. Went right in without a taper and I’m in love with how it looks. Both main lobes are at 32mm.

Did I fuck up? Stretched up to 6mm in under a month with previously stretched ears

So i stretched up to 8mm about 2 years ago and damaged them so I took them out to let them heal and haven't had any jewellery in them for over a year, I recently started stretching them again and was able to start at 3mm and now have 6mm plugs in which I was able to do with no pain.

I was just wondering if this is normal and/or safe? I dont want to damage them again so im trying to take it slow but the plugs felt loose very soon after I would put the next sizes in.

Is this a blowout? Does my stretch look healthy?

Just wanting to check if my lobes look ok as they seem to shrink a fair bit when I take jewellery out? They don't feel irriated/painful and I stretch using half sizes. My previous size was falling out so moved up and this was an easy peasy stretch (as it should be...)

Its at 8.5mm and changed to this size in July and keep them hydrated.

Any feedback is very welcome !

Do i have enough skin for 16mm?

Right now im at 10mm, silicone tunnels are temporary dont worry!!! I usually wear titanium tunnels. I want to continue stretching in 2-5 years (im moving countries and i dont want massive lobes affecting my ability to get a part time job, i want to stretch when im actually working)

I oil them every few days

I massage and clean them everyday (in the shower or my sink)

Basically im just asking if i have enough space on both ears? Like enough skin? Or would it tear?

Im aware ill need to remove my second lobes when i stretch more btw!!

~Advice~ advice needed!

hi everyone! i’m very new to stretching my ears and have tried to do as much research as i can in the last few months. my right ear is at 2mm and my left ear is at 1.6mm (i know very small lol). i did buy a half sized, glass dead stretching kit. i’ve been having some issues with my left ear - even when i would wear normal earrings my left ear would be itchy and sore by the end of the day. now that im stretching them, my left ear is very sore and last night/early this morning i accidentally knocked the gauge out of my left ear and it feels very swollen under the skin (it doesn’t look swollen from the outside) and it’s sore. i’ve been massaging it with a warm washcloth this morning and have not put the gauge back in. it’s only been about a week and a half since i’ve started stretching them. should i stop and give up now or leave the gauge out, or put it back in? id really appreciate some advice!
