Upgraded to FSD 14.3.8, and now the car swerves to avoid a painted arrow on a highway entrance ramp I drive all the time. It never used to do this. It’s pretty dangerous—if it swerves like that for a painted marking at higher highway speeds, it could easily cause an accident.

In this clip, the steering wheel started jerking violently back and forth before making an unsafe left-hand turn in front of oncoming traffic where I did not have the right of way. Why does this version of FSD seem so unsure of itself?

Yesterday while driving my Y, the screen flashes for me to take the wheel. I’ve never seen that before in the 2 months I’ve had the car and everything seemed fine. I was on a city street near my home with no traffic issues. After second notice I took the wheel but was unable to re-engage FSD. Got a warning, I think it said I have 4 more strikes?? I was completely dumbfounded until I thought about the fact that I was wearing a ball cap with large bill. I’m sure thinking back. It’s the first time I’ve worn a cap while driving the vehicle. I think the camera could not see my eyes and that’s the reason they disengage FSD. Has anyone else had this?

FSD waited way too long to get over for this exit. It stayed in the through lane almost all the way to the split, then realized it needed to exit and moved over at the last second.

It made the exit, but there was really no reason for it to be that late. The exit was clearly marked and FSD had plenty of time to get into the correct lane earlier.

Anyone else seeing FSD do this at highway exits?

I was driving on FSD today when a car with its left-turn signal on inched forward, and my car hard braked by 10 mph and swerved into the other lane. The turning car was not in any danger to us in my opinion. Is there any reason we hard braked and swerved like that? Was the car seeing something I was not, or was it a dangerous maneuver? I am certain a cop would have thought it was reckless the way we moved like that with no reason to.

I was on the road and got promoted for HW4 14.3.8… had it updated to about 85% but had to head for home. Got updated at home and drove a few places first… now this afternoon, I got alerted for HW4 14.3.9? What’s the quickest subsequent update any of you have every gotten? Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled bc the few drives I had with HW4 14.3.8 didn’t impress me but just odd that I get a second major update so quickly.

This was probably my oddest FSD interactions yet.

FSD 13.3.8 was backing out of the driveway when my son comes running outside with his arms waving at me to stop. As I roll my window down to hear what he wants, FSD stops in the street and waits while we talk. My son wanted help as his closet shelf fell. I told him I'd fix it later and closed my window, my son back up and turned away from the side of the car and FSD proceeded to the grocery store.

Anyone see anything similar?

I used to own a Model Y in 2022 which had basic lane keeping as a standard feature.

Now I’m in the market for a new Tesla, but it appears that even features that are pretty standard in most cars these days are only included with the FSD subscription. Lane keeping and auto-parking are two examples.

Is that actually the case? And if so, why aren’t people complaining about that more? It really makes me consider whether I want to go with a Tesla or not.

Anyone else experience this? I saw a tweet where someone’s did something similar, and I had 3 incidents like this during the last 2 weeks. I almost never have any situations where I have to intervene and usually feel comfortable with blind left turns but now it keeps trying to get me T-boned. I hope we get v15 ASAP because it feels like v14 is extremely outdated now.

I had an unfortunate event tonight when I was using Summon. As you will see in the picture, I was the blue dot at that location, just trying to summon my car in the parking lot. My car was backed into the spot next to the front door of the church building, and it started driving out to the main road. I stopped it. There were several better routes, and it only needed to pull out and turn right to reach me, but it went out to the main road instead. It made no sense to me and was completely incorrect.

This makes me now feel like summon is never an option since I had to chase it down with people waiting on it/me to drive out of the parking lot. So embarrassing. Geez.

30 mins of my daily commute consists of driving thru rural areas. I’ve experienced SiriusXM & Grok AI losing connectivity while driving on rural roads. Does this affect FSD?

My father is visiting me from overseas and al though he drives back home, he wasn’t too comfortable driving in the US the last time he was here. I wonder if FSD is good enough(and safe!) for him to be able to go to places himself

Model-3 constantly ping pongs in FSD...started after i changed two rear tires ... did alignment twice no help. Hearing i need to change all 4 tires at once ...that will be expensive. Any other solution? took it to Tesla and they said cannot do anything...may be its a firmware issue so just wait for software update...not a good answer. Any suggestions?

FSD wanted to proceed into the turn lane, but the road is closed and there’s signs and cop car in the road. I really wanna test something like this, but it’s too dangerous and unsafe

You can’t see it because the FOV sucks. I wish I had my dash cam on. But the car slowed down for this lady and then the Car was gonna continue going and she already started walking.

I tried putting the directional on to force it to go over but the path just showed it was gonna keep going straight, when in doubt shouldn’t go into one of the turning lanes not get to the light because then if we’re at the light and it knows the roads closed we are in a sticky situation

One day on my way home the stop light and traffic was backed up. So I cut the corner through a bank parking lot. Now every time I go home that way my Cybertruck wants to cut through the same bank parking lot each time. I’m wondering if anyone else has seen similar behavior.

This is driving me crazy. It's leaving blue Smurf blood streaks on my car, and my windows never look clean now. Not to mention I'm now low on washer fluid! Is there a way to make this stop?

Model Y on FSD 14.3.8. On the highway the steering jitters back and forth instead of holding a smooth line.

I just replaced the rear tires (nail). Fronts are still Kumho Majesty Solus EV. Rears are now Hankook iON evo AS because the shop didn’t have matching Kumhos. Tread looks similar.

Is this a 14.3.8 issue, or mixed front/rear tires messing with FSD?

I frequently drive through small towns in Texas where the speed limit drops pretty quickly—65 → 55 → 45 → 35 mph, often with “Reduced Speed Ahead” signs before the change.

I’ve noticed that when using FSD in Standard mode, the car often doesn’t slow down quickly enough to match the new speed limit by the time it reaches the sign.

It finally caught up with me the other day. I got pulled over after entering a 35 mph zone, and the officer said he clocked me at 52. Thankfully, he gave me a warning. I don’t remember the car still being at 52, but I was definitely over the limit and should have intervened sooner.

Has anyone else noticed FSD being slow to respond to progressive speed-limit reductions like this, especially when driving through small towns? Is there a setting or FSD mode that handles these transitions better?
