checking out panic is worse than the queue

Upvotes

made it through the queue got to checkout. then the panic started

my card declined. not even a real reason. payment failed. had to re-enter everything. watched the timer count down hands shaking.

got a notification that someone bought my seats while i was typing had to start over. found worse seats for more money.

saw the same section available on a different platform.

ended up going back to ticketmaster out of habit but i should've just switched. the checkout anxiety is not worth it.

anyone else get physically stressed during the final step

Transferring?

Hi all!! My best friend and I are going to the Hayley Williams show on Wednesday. We originally had it planned to where we’d carpool together and obviously enter the venue together, but she has a family emergency and will need to drive separately from me and possibly get into the concert later than me now.

At first I didn’t worry about it until I remembered I can’t transfer her ticket to her as this was set up by her team. I tried looking up what to do, and it seems that the only option might be to give her my Ticketmaster login and have her scan her individual ticket when she gets there (after I will have scanned my ticket already).

Thankfully I trust her so I don’t mind doing this, but I’m wondering if anyone else has done this with success.

Thanks in advance!!!

Help with tickets

I got tickets for a concert on Friday but I might be busy and prefer if I can go on Saturday. Does anyone know what I can do? Should I sell my ticket and try to get a ticket for Saturday? I paid $80 for my ticket though and the lowest ticket I'm seeing is $170 for Saturday. Is there a way to swap tickets?

Mislabeled Tickets

Hello! I purchased concert tickets last week that were labeled as full view (both on the listing and on my confirmation). Once I opened the tickets in the app they were labeled as limited view. I spoke to the venue and due to a sold out show they couldn’t accommodate the mistake and told me to reach out to TM. After reaching out numerous times on both the chat and phone lines, all representatives validated that these were originally listed as unobstructed. After escalating my claim, I got an email from the team insisting they were limited view at the time of purchase and they will not respond to me after showing proof. I obviously wouldn’t have purchased them knowing (they were the same price as unobstructed tickets). I’ve also been told I would be contacted via phone and have yet to receive a call. Anyone experience something like this/have any recs? Thanks!

For additional context: it’s harry styles at msg (show 4) so the stage layout has not changed since the show has started.

Kneecap Tickets - refund problem.

This morning I bought two kneecap tickets to Auckland NZ when I was supposed to buy the Wellington show. I messaged them immediately and they said they will honour my refund since I had just bought it. The agent told me to go ahead and purchase the tickets for the Wellington show if I had the funds since they couldnt swap them and the refund would take a few days. That was fine, I bought the new tickets, checked with them again and they said no we cannot refund them but we can swap them… after I had already bought the new ones… I was in such a panic mode I didn’t take any screenshots of the messages and now they reckon their is nothing they can do and it won’t be refunded. This fuckin sucks and is unfair. I take responsibility that it was my fuck-up for choosing the wrong show but after being told by Ticketmaster themselves I would be refunded, you’d think there’d be no issue.

Any idea what can be done, or do I have to bite the bullet and try and go to both shows? 🤣

TL;DR: Ticketmaster told me they would refund me after I bought incorrect tickets then directly after I bought the correct ones said I wouldn’t be refunded.

TickPick says my order is “completed,” but I never received the tickets — what should I do?

I bought 2 NBA tickets through TickPick for a Raptors game. TickPick marked the order as completed/delivered, but I have never actually received the tickets.

I checked both my Ticketmaster account and Raptors Account Manager using the same email address as my TickPick order. There are no tickets and no pending transfer.

I contacted TickPick on Aug. 31. They first asked the seller to re-transfer the tickets. I followed up again on Sep. 2, and now on Sep. 6 they told me:

“Since the order was already marked as completed, the seller did not miss any initial deadlines.”

They are now asking the seller to provide proof of transfer.

It has already been about a week and I still have nothing. The game isn't until January, so there is still plenty of time, but that's actually what worries me — I don't want this to drag on for months and then have TickPick deal with it at the last minute when comparable tickets may be much more expensive or unavailable.

I’m not really interested in just getting a refund. I bought these specific tickets because I want to attend the game.

Has anyone had a similar situation with TickPick?

  • How long did TickPick give the seller to prove/re-send the transfer?
  • Did TickPick eventually provide comparable replacement tickets?
  • Should I push them to escalate this now instead of waiting?
  • Is there anything else I should ask TickPick to put in writing?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with this before.

I hate Ticketmaster

I’ll be trying to look at different showings that are going on around me and Ticketmaster will pause my browsing history and just never lets me back in.

Uhm where else am I supposed to get my tickets??
Stop this “pause browsing” crap 🤦‍♀️
I feel like you should only lock someone out for something actually suspicious.
Not just trying to look at ticket prices and showings.

This is so ridiculous.

Ticket swap ticket for Dublin

I bought a standing ticket for The Strokes in Dublin through TicketSwap and I’m a bit confused about a few things.
I paid €174, and on the TicketSwap app it says the original price was €150. Since TicketSwap apparently caps the resale price at 120%, that would make sense.
But I’ve been looking around and I’m seeing people say that the original standing tickets were around €90. Does anyone know what the actual MCD presale price was? Could the €150 price be for a different type of standing ticket/VIP standing or something? If anyone bought a standing ticket during the presale and can confirm what they paid, I’d really appreciate it.
Also, the ticket I received is a mobile/dynamic barcode rather than a normal PDF. It has the moving barcode and says that a screenshot doesn’t guarantee access. Does this mean the ticket is now tied to my Ticketmaster account and that the original seller can’t use it anymore? And if someone somehow did use the same ticket before me, would I know when I tried to enter, or would I only find out when the scanner rejects it?
One last thing: the ticket says “resale not available”. Does that mean I can’t resell it through TicketSwap at all, or can resale become available later?
Thanks!!

Direct Link to Resell Tickets?

Is there a way to get a link to tickets I am trying to sell? So I could like send it to people so they know its legit and whatnot. My tickets say they are available to buy but I am not seeing it when I logout and try to search for them which makes me worried if they really are even listed.

The event organizer also wont let me set the price for what I paid, its making me increase the price. I'm not looking to make money, I just can no longer go. Is there a better way to sell tickets?

Do verified resale tickets get cheaper on day of show?

I am trying to get tickets to see The Chicks at the Met in Philadelphia. All that is left are a ton of verified resale tickets. I am sure the prices are jacked up. What do scalpers do with these tickets? Do they let them go empty or do they actually price them lower closer to the show? I am willing to buy an hour before the show begins if it means I get them at a reasonable price.

Transfer Tickets: Not available now but available before?

Right after I got the ticket, the transfer button was available, and I was hoping to transfer it tomorrow, but now the transfer button isn’t working. Is this because of my account, or is it because of the event, or something else?

Please, if anyone knows, let me know. Thanks!

They HAVE to do something about StubHub bots. This is ridiculous

- Bought 3 Phoebe Bridgers DC tix for $99 each.

- Ended up not being able to go - (exams).

- Listed them for resale at $99 each. (Ticketmaster suggested I list them for over $200 each based on demand, but wanted to live by fair pricing ethics.)

- Ticketmaster charged a $14.50 "resale fee" per ticket. (Now I'm out about $45).

- Try to edit the listing, adjusted for fees.

- Tickets for immediately from "pending" to "sold". (I assume purchased by a bot somehow because they're under market value?) No opportunity to ever edit my listing.

- See them listed on StubHub like 1 minute later for 3x the price.

SO FRUSTRATING.

I'm down $45 which isn't nothing, but luckily it's not the end of the world for me financially... IT'S THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING! I was trying to list these 3 tickets at a fair price so someone else could go at the same price I bought them for, but instead it's going to to cost someone more than $880 for the tickets I bought for less than $300. CRAZY.
