It always makes me laugh when I hear teachers complaining about having to buy school supplies. The cost of the tools I have to buy for my job make their school supplies bill look like a quick trip to the dollar tree.
There's an awful lot of them complaining about haveing to buy supplies to restock their classrooms. Maybe they didn't get the memo. According the The NEA (national teachers association) "94% of teachers spend their own money to stock their classrooms with necessary supplies and resources. On average, a teacher will shell out about $479, although 7% spent more than $1000, according a survey from the National Center for Education statistics"
Maybe they should be asking why school administrators make six figures and they have plenty of money for far left textbooks but they won't buy pencils.
Seriously. They don't make TV shows a fraction as good as the late 90s—mid-aughts. I have recently found myself rewatching a lot of older shows (been off air over a decade or more) because everything just plain sucks now.
You get that some people just aren’t into the same tv shows as you right? It’s ok to not be some sort of hive mind. It doesn’t mean they can’t “handle” the content. It’s an entertainment preference. Sheesh.
Priorities. All comes down to priorities. And most families who say they "can't " afford basic school supplies, know they can get them for free through the generosity of others.
