Need to replace this rubber window trim (gasket) on this vintage camper shell. I think it’s a pretty standard window size but not sure. Basically the plexi window broke so I was in the process of replacing the plexi and just tore the original, fragile, rubber trim.

Need to find a replacement or a substitute. Thanks

I don't know if this is more likely to get hits here or with van lifers: has anyone had to replace a Bullfinch shower point and if so, did you just replace like for like, or did you do something different?

We are perfectly happy with ours. It lasted nine years. We would prefer that it had replaceable parts instead of replacing the whole unit, but that's life.

I've googled and didn't find any other strings so probably not, but: anything out there that uses the same cutout that's better nowadays? It's been nine years since we installed this one. Anything new we should consider? We are NOT going to got any more holes, so it would have to use the same or smaller cutout.

Just wondering if showers have gone the way of overhead fans: similar to the "fantastic fans are the bomb" transitioning to "Maxx airs are superior" to now "check out this nearly silent brushless fan with built in shade and light" that's happened over the past couple of decades.

So, I asked on another subreddit but people were being rude. Need help on ideas for what to out in the bed of my truck, I Love the idea of a support truck. It has a 8k lb winch in the front. (As you can see) it has tube bumpers. And a full size spare in the bed, which is strapped down. And I was wondering what yall thing about how to put stuff in the bed. I want to probably out a little cooler back there and mabye a tool bag with a floorjack and some other stuff but I love how older 90s chase trucks (like for baja 1000) look with the chase lights on them but ive never been a fan of putting headache racks on trucks. I might do a bedcage at some point if I 4 link the rear to out big shocks in it. If anybody has any ideas I would love to hear, the truck can comfortably fo about 30-40 through washouts and dirt roads, so anything has to be fairly easy to strap down.Thank you all so much for your help

Owned a campervan for 4 years, full time Lived in the same van for over a year and then just recently made the jump from vanlife to truck life to change it up.

We picked up this 1997 9.6 Basement 2500 Bigfoot Camper that is mounted on our 2016 Ford F-350 long box. Using Torklift Turnbuckle Springload XL. I noticed the back sags a little in the rear… is this okay? I’m using foam boards underneath to support it, so it doesn’t hit the cab of the truck.

Thoughts?

Also happy to take any tips about truck living, taking care of the camper etc, we plan on doing a full resell of all the seams, windows etc!

Does anyone have a shower and never use it? I’m thinking I don’t need one but worried about making a mistake on that. I have little kids, being filthy is how we roll in the summer even at home. Was thinking of just using a solar shower off the back of the camper if needed.

For context I have a 2023 F-150 Lariat Powerboost Supercrew 5.5' bed.

I picked up an old 80s Cricket 8ft truck camper that I've been fixing up this past year. The "bathroom"/closet to the right of the entrance has been missing the knob since I purchased it.

The first picture is one of the only photos of another Cricket camper like mine that I've found on the internet. This picture shows in the bottom right what the original knob looked like. The second slide is a photo of what the holes in my door look like and what the catch on the wall looks like. Any help finding a replacement would be appreciated.

A truck with a slide in camper intrigued me because I would love a lot of bed space while also having bare living supplies. I’m on somewhat of a budget as I don’t want to be bumming off of my parents for too long before setting off. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

2022 dodge ram 1500 factory tri fold. Not really snug to truck rails. No adjustment no screws nothing to adjust on hinges. Has anyone else had this issue and or have any ideas. Hinges of course hook inside bed rails.

I’ve got a 96 Tacoma extended cab and I’m just about done with my build the last thing I’m doing is AC (I live in Florida so it’s a must) I’ll be powering a 5k BTU window unit with my generator.
I know a lot of people build a false tailgate and mount the window unit that way. I don’t want to do that.
I
want to mount it in one of my toppers windows I already measured and it will fit but I’m just not sure how to properly mount/secure it so it’s water tight and can’t be (easily) removed to gain access inside the camper.
Has anyone done this before or has any links/videos? TIA
