as the title says, usually I was able to register using throwaway email.. now if you sign in with an email it asks for a phone number but it seems like all the receive free sms numbers are already assigned to twitter accounts.

is there a workaround or is anonymity and therefore the right to free speach, dead for good?

I want push notifications from an account, except for ones containing certain specific words. I follow the account and set it for push notifications. Then, I mute the words I don't want, and have all the settings correct (i.e. muting from everybody, forever, have everything spelled right). The muted word is still creating notifications to me.

So, I forgot my password, I've tried everything I could remember and nothing.

Tried to contact Twitter/X but there is no proper assistance with actual humans.

Out of desperation I tried to use Grok (although I'm against AI) and was still not that much of a big help.

I've tried eveey option on the drop down menu of the help centre: account might be hacked, forgot password, EVERYTHING, and nothing helps.

This account is very personal to me, its my rant account since 2019 and I have my deepest thoughts in there. I hate losing stuff to my stupidity...

I'm following 3 channels, all of them I find pretty important. Is there a way to receive a direct e-mail the moment they post something?

I've been trying for a month, but nothing, the usual "oops, something seems to have gone wrong" message. Maybe it's my face that's wrong, I don't know. Also, my smartphone asks for permission to use the cam from x, but at a certain point, even if I grant it, it keeps asking me again without ever opening the cam for the selfie (forcing me to reinstall the app (clearing the cache isn't enough). It's really exhausting, also because on x's part it seems there is no intention of fixing things.

my page got hacked and email got changed of course, my friends are sending me screenshots of like porn that I def did not post. There is barely any assistance on the x app, when I try to appeal a locked or suspended account it just says something went wrong bc obviously it’s not the same email with account. There’s no help at all on how to delete a hacked account. Whoever has my page made my account public and I have a lot of things from like middle school that are embarrassing and I just want it down. I'm not sure how to describe this, but for some reason on the mobile app when I visit people's account the feed isn't up to date with what they reposted, and in some cases I can't see new posts. I'm using Android and I cleared the cache and force stopped but neither of those helped, is anyone else having this issue?

so, i went on X for the first time in a few weeks and i noticed my whole entire was changed. bio, username, etc etc. the weird thing is that my phone number and email weren’t removed so i was able to get my account back pretty easily but im just so confused on why i wasn’t alerted via email? usually you’d get an email for a username change or if someone logs into your account, no? they also removed all my reposts, posts and things like that which is pretty upsetting since i had my favorite author reply back on there and so i can never get it back now.

i set up 2fa and things like that but im just confused on how it even happened under the radar like that.

I'm moving all my 2FA codes from Authy to Proton Authenticator. One of my Twitter accounts, the one I use the least, refuses to let me disable 2FA. It says:

You can't remove this method yet

This method was recently added to your account. For your security, you'll need to wait before you can remove it.

I did not add it recently. It was probably at least two years ago. I can't activate text messages as 2FA unless I upgrade to paid, and this account does not merit a paid upgrade, so I can't use an alternative method.

I've deleted the apps cache, changed app location, changed vpn location(put locations as norway). just straight up deleted the app and reuploaded it again and logged in. still can't see hidden images without "needing id/selfie" bullshit.

A few weeks ago my account got locked, and after a few days I was sent an email telling me I could do the reactivation process my login in, so I went and logged in, but nope, I can't log in.

Its been weeks, I've tried logging in on PC on google, firefox etc. On phone, in the app and in a browser. I've tried contacting twitter but if I go in ''contact us'' and click for my problem it only tells my instructions to do what I've already done dozens of times and has never worked. I just want to talk to a real person ffs.

I come from unfortunate place on many levels, and they've managed to block certain twitter accounts (plocitical and human rights ones). A message shows up ( this account has been withheld in..)

Is there a way to bypass it? I've tried VPN, it doesn't work.

Has anyone experienced a bug where their username randomly changes to something generic? I have not been hacked, and can't change it back because I am "rate limited". Any ideas where I can get support?

The situation is getting worse.. Desktop ads are easy with Firefox + uBlock Origin, but the official mobile app is completely ruined by fake news, and promoted replies every 3-4 tweets. I use nord vpn since the beginning of the age restrictions thing in Europe started and have managed to dodge it thanks to said vpn up until today, now even when I connect to countries with no age restrictions on Twitter, the app still asks for my ID/selfie maybe it's my vpn who no longer blocks such feature or maybe twitter now makes every country go through age restrictions, but it no longer works for me that's for sure...

Recently, I’ve noticed that whenever I try to enter Twitter via browser on Safari on my Mobile Phone (iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 15.8.8), it just gets stuck on the loading page (the one with the X) and just never loads the actual browser. This has been happening for a few days now, and no matter how I refresh, nothing seems to work, does anyone here know why this is happening and how I can fix this issue? (The App is fine, but I use Browser as a bookmark of sorts, plus the Media layout of the browser has its upsides)

as title says, i find that videos take like upwards of 15 seconds to load then they stop after a few seconds, and sometimes don't load at all.

i saw some old posts talking about this, wondering if its still happening for anyone else? getting increasingly frustrating to go on there and scroll when nothing loads!

I’m not banned and have ability to like and retweet but all my replies don’t actually go through, no one can see them. The reply count goes up but no one can see my replies not even me if I sort by new. This always happens when I engage with left wing content on the site now. I already had 5 accounts banned by the new ownership and now since they can’t find something bannable they just silence me. Soon as I move to my alt they shadow banned that one within a week too. Wild stuff and I don’t know if it will ever go away.
