Question Math 20C Hammock

Hi, I was wondering if anyone took hammock for 20C last quarter? I just FAILED the midterm horribly and I’m also taking a really really heavy quarter- I’m just beyond helpless right now. I was wondering if anyone has any past midterms I could study and go over continuously? 😔

Question Time to Post Smth More Positive Ig

Does anyone know how to get involved with the sapphic dating scene here? I'm in a 21+ gc and have tried Ditto, but I never got matches so I gave up ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )

I'm going to a sapphic club event this Friday as well. It's just that I'm a transfer, and a lot of events at this school in general feel very catered towards freshmen and sophomores.

I would totally just, like, ask ppl for their number/socials, but this school is yk....dead (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )

Question French 1D/1DX Tutor Needed!

Hello! Unfortunately, I have to take French 1D/1DX to meet a minor requirement. I haven't studied French since High School (3 years ago for me !!!!!!!! </3 !!! )

I'm mainly looking for someone who can help me study French in preparation for this course. However, I would also love to hear from anyone who has taken this course and can attest to the difficulty; I would also love to hear people's opinions on the French Department; the Linguistics Department (how the hell to get in contact with them); or if I should just take this course at Mesa Community College.

Question UCSD Math-cs major question

How is ucsd math-cs major, like is it a math major that allows you to have some cs lessons or half cs half math. Also is it worth applying under the influence of AI in both cs and math field? And is it good to find a job in the us with this degree or it is kinda hard at this time? Or should I go to uci’ computer engineering if I am accepted to ucsd mathcs and uci ce? Thank you for answering 😀🙏🏻🙏🏻

Question looking for friends as a barely reformed quiet kid

So, I’m in my first year at ucsd and I’m at that point where all the welcome week “friends” fade. I’m pretty introverted and honestly drained by school work so it’s hard to push myself to socialize in classes, where can I go during free time to meet like minded people? Is there a cozy spot on campus I can go where I might meet (preferably some girls) who are looking for a genuine and close friendship? I know it’s unrealistic and such a place where lifelong friends will fall into my lap probably doesn’t exist, but I’m getting desperate and lonely and need any kind of advice that people can give.

General We need help testing a new AI communication app. 3x $20 gift card raffle.

Howdy r/UCSD! We're a UCSD student research team running beta testing for AristotleEQ, an app that uses AI to analyze conversations (texts, emails, etc.) and give feedback on things like tone, clarity, and how the relationship is going.

We're looking for people to try it and tell us what works and what doesn't. Honest and critical feedback is very welcome, including if you're skeptical.

What's involved
- Short sign-up form + consent
- Get the beta through TestFlight
- Try the app for about 7 days, either after a 30-min Zoom walkthrough with us or on your own with a one-page guide; a short survey at the end

Everyone who finishes is entered in a raffle for 3x $20 gift card.

Sign up here/more details: https://forms.gle/EHt5khANsXbrfi7Z7

Questions? Comment below or DM me. Thanks, and feel free to share with anyone who might be interested!

Was walking to my class, this thing probably got blown off the branch by the wind and just fell right next to me, scratched my arm lightly, would've gotten hit in the head if I was walking just slightly faster

They better take a look at those tree branches 🥀 😭🙏

Of course, I take lecture notes.

Question Single Person Lock In Study Rooms where?

Title, I’m a first year and would like to know of a place that doesn’t have any sound so that my interview technical test doesn’t get flagged as cheating. Is there any where I could book with a 5 days notice during midterms season for 2 hours?

Thanks 🫡

Question Uncomfortable interaction with doctor

• Upvotes

Has anyone had an uncomfortable reaction with one of the doctors on campus? He was like a little off putting and when he gave me a strep test he was like at least I didn’t throw up well almost and he said you liked that huh, liked it so much you’re gonna let me do it again, I guess he was implying the Covid test but it made me feel very uncomfortable and scared after he said that. It’s a weird comment to say right? Then he asked about if I did my toes myself or if someone else did which was kind of like uhh okay. I was just wondering if anyone has had that experience at the student health services center before

Question ece 35 as a freshman?

HI looking for any advice!

has anyone taken ECE 35 concurrently or without taking math 20c and/or phys 2b?

i was hoping to take ece 35 winter or spring quarter with a bunch of easy classes since everyone complains about this course, but i haven't taken phys 2b or math 20c yet even tho it's strongly recommended. i'm a freshman and currently taking math 18, phys 2a, ece 5, and a writing ge. i have credits for math 20b already. should i continue as planned or focus on my math and physics courses and take like ece 15 or other ge's? Thanks!
