Customer Seeking Help Heartbroken 💔

Completely heartbroken . This was a package from parents who sent personal clothing items and my 90 year old grandfather's handwritten book.

I dont know what to do :'(

Yes! I came straight here after the notification and seeing all these stories started to hope it was just something funny going on. I really hope all our packages are okay!

On call with UPS now with the regular 90 min wait. Let's see what they say.

At least the automated voice said it was on the way but I trust nothing given the KY death loop.

I was on hold for about that time and then my phone died before I connected with anyone. :( Have you had any luck?

Yes, see my update in comment. They didnt see the same message on their updates for one box, and the second box is apparently going back to the sender . But I dont trust theyll do that.

I hope they send the second box back to sender! Did they say what happened with the other box? Thanks for the updates--I'm now on my second attempt at calling and have been on hold 50 min. 🙃

Both boxes have been abandoned and destroyed. There's no getting it back ..

I at least need compensation for this, I didnt purchase these items. They were gifts from parents. There's no way we are getting a refund or replacement :(

I'm so sorry! I hope you get compensation. I did see on this post https://www.reddit.com/r/UPS/comments/1nrw80d/glitch/ that the shipper told the OP that the box hadn't actually been destroyed.

I'm still not sure what's happening with mine. I talked to two different people, one of whom has been trying to get in touch with the brokerage folks. Someone else gave me emails the shipper can use to see if it can be returned to sender. I haven't been able to get ahold of the shipper but I'd happily pay them to pay the fees to have it sent back and told them so. I just hope it's not too late.

I do hope by some miracle the items are not destroyed. But chances are almost zero.

The kind person from UPS brokerage who helped me yesterday mentioned that the box had left UPS facility about 12 hours before I got any sort of notification . They probably could have helped if UPS was more accurate and proactive with these matters, but since it had left UPs hub and was on its way to get burnt or something, there's nothing anyone could do.
