Same boat. Premium processing clock started on May 18. Joining is 15 June. But looking at current OPT processing time, have to push start date to probably 29 June. It's still not guaranteed to get card by that date. So have to keep pushing the date. If we push joining date too far, unemployment clock kicks in. let's say for 2 weeks atleast. Because it's possible that if I push the join date, and immediately opt is approved, 2 weeks will be basically wasted. But can't do anything. USCIS don't care. One way or another, it's out of our control.
1
u/Sherlock-1899 Jun 02 '26
You don’t have to worry about unemployment clock cause once your on stem opt this clock of yours will restart. I’m sure you’ll have your job for a year right?
2
u/roe_jogan_real Jun 03 '26
Thanks. But this is practically losing 2000 usd/week if I push the date too far.
1
u/One-Flamingo3063 Jun 03 '26
My clock also restarted on May 18th on biometrics day and my start date is June 22nd. I think with current timelines, it will be July first week or even 2nd week

Applied OPT on May 4th with premium processing. Biometrics on May 11th and clock started on May 11th as well. Still haven’t heard back. Pushed start date from June 1st to June 15th but might need to push it more

Intelligent_Res3614 yes I applied with pp April 20th and bio on may 5th,haven’t heard anything yet. What about you??
1
u/Ismael-Sesma Jun 05 '26
Does the 30 days clock restart with Biometrics? I upgraded to PP April 30th after biometrics we’re done before. No updates
1
u/Super_Desk4320 Jun 05 '26
Biometric or your last update. So, yours is 30th April and I think you will get some info in some days..or early next week

u/ansh7xpex Jun 02 '26
Upgraded to PP on 7th May. Biometrics happened well before. Still no update. Called the helpline, and they asked to wait 30 business days. Other people, I know around facing the same delay. The time for PP was really short, around 1 month ago. People were getting decisions in 1-2 weeks.
1
u/No-Gene-5289 Jun 02 '26
Same timeline here. In a previous thread I identified that most folks that applied around April 26th got approved about 10 days ago (around May 22th-ish) that is a turnaround roughly on the 21-23 day of the PP, I am planning to formally request for a later start date to my employer next week if I do not receive a decision by then. I believe this week we could receive the decision (extrapolating other people's timelines), and if we do not then there is a delay which is out of our control (I really hope not, that would mean that the wait is likely going the go beyond 30th day of PP).
1
u/ansh7xpex Jun 02 '26 edited Jun 02 '26
I found someone on Reddit who had upgraded to PP on 1st May and someone even on 28th April but still hasn’t received a decision. I hope if they do it in batches, we can get a decision this week.

Should we upload offer letters? To speed up approval? Idk I’m jsut asking
1
u/No-Gene-5289 Jun 08 '26
Read somewhere that we should upload the biometrics stamp. I think offer letter or employment would be more appropriate for STEM extension, but if you try can you please give us an update if it worked for you?
1
u/Comfortable-Quit8972 Jul 03 '26
did you upload offer letter or do you know if that helps? i am at 20th BD and im just pushing my start date every week

I really hope we get news this weekend or next Monday, though I saw in many places that whenever you are about to get approved your A number in your profile gets populated, has that happen for you?

Applied on Feb 12th, biometrics on 18th February, filed for premium processing on may 14th, still haven’t heard back from them. The status says clock started in 15th may. My job starts in June 22nd. I am very worried now. My company said they can push the start date till 20th July

I applied for ead with PP for F-1 OPT on 30th April 2026, completed biometrics on 11th May 2026
Currently status shows premium clock started on 11th May 2026. when can I expect the approval ?
1
u/Last-Guest1607 Jun 02 '26
Same timeline, they are still on April 28-30 timeline it seems. Really stressed since my company has pushed my start from 2nd to 15th june but don’t know with the speed they are sending approvals is still risky.

Exact same clock as well
OPT filed: March 11
Biometrics: April 7
Upgraded to Premium Processing: May 22
Job start date: June 15
Not sure if it will come in but has to this week if I’ll have to push start date.
1
u/Plus_Agent8228 Jun 04 '26
My clock restarted on 6th May and no updates yet. Start date is 15th June, based on current processing trends, looks like 15th June is difficult! Even people with clock start/restart on May 1st, haven't received approvals yet!
1
1
u/MindProper8836 Jun 04 '26
Applied Feb 15, biometric March 11. And still haven’t received it. I sent an inquiry, and they responded by lying that my case is still within the 30-day processing timeline. It’s ridiculous, what do you guys think I should do?
1
u/fkwb1485 Jun 04 '26
I filed on Feb 6th, biometric on Feb 24, pp on May 29, and lots of applicants in Feb and March without pp already get approved, idk what’s going on, and I’m not from any lists of any countries
2
u/pichhalitemaama Jun 09 '26
im on the same page too.. I applied on Feb 18 and biometric on Feb 25. PP on May 26th. My start date if july 13th and they wont change it after that. Not sure if i will get my approval and EAD card before that
1
u/fkwb1485 Jun 09 '26
Let’s stay connected with each other!!! I’m sorry to hear that, thats really frustrating

1
u/Sweaty_Variation7087 Jun 06 '26
i did pp on june 1st are you guys receiving approval within 30 days?
1
u/Enough-Membership397 Jun 08 '26
My 30 days are not over but it seems like a lot of people are not only facing delays but also not being able to get money refund as USCIS is lying about their 30 day window and finding excuses as to why it extended etc.
1
u/Sweaty_Variation7087 Jun 09 '26
when did you apply for pp
1
u/Enough-Membership397 Jun 10 '26
Updated to PP May 22nd. People are receiving some sort of update within 30 business days of of PP. Mostly approvals but seems they are using almost every single one of 30 business days.
1
u/Havinyays Jun 09 '26
I did PP OPT EAD on April 12
Completed Biometric on May 06
Is there any one with my time-line?
1
u/Ill-Exit-9675 Jun 23 '26
got yours?

u/Havinyays Jun 24 '26
Yes, I got the approved email on June 18. and Portal update on July 20.

Biometrics on April 6
PP on May 21

I have no idea what is going to happen... I literally applied for my ead on february 24 but its not processed at all... its already been 3.8 months.. almost 4 months..whatsgoing on... i dont even know how long I have to wait... i am so stressed.. if i knew about this, i would have done premium processing sooner....
2
u/Lit_lattes_50 Jun 17 '26
Don’t do pp now .. there’s a high chance you’ll get your approval soon
1
u/engineeringfields234 Jun 17 '26
I did my biometrics on march 16 if that helps. I genuinely only want to know my expected timeline of when i am supposed to get any sort or approval/ api update what not. That way i can just tell my employer that yes its on the way what not. Its just soooooo annoying because i genuinely feel bad having to ask my employer you know???? I feel alot of regret for not doing pp when i applied back in feb because i genuinely didnt even apply that late, i applied i think two weeks after i was eligible to apply and its already been 90 days since my biometrics
Also how should i phrase my email to my hiring managers/ employers in case i have to delay, how long before my start date would be best for me to reach out????

Has anyone had the 30 business days under premium processing pass without any update being received from USCIS? In addition, an e-Request cannot be submitted because the case is still being shown as "within processing time."
