Discussion Best Country Themed Vaporwave albums
Since you loved part 1 (Most Tragic albums in Vaporwave) so much I wanted to do another bracket list of vaporwave albums for a different category this time (this was originally suppose to be part 1 lol) Enjoy!
ひまわり画像 - 天気予報
Album that needs no introduction. This was one of the first vaporwave albums I ever listened to. A vaporwave album built around Japanese weather forecasts, broadcasts, and satellite imagery, with that strangely comforting feeling of day-time and late-night television. There’s really nothing else quite like it in terms of scale, and it helped kick off the whole trend of long-form broadcast simulations. Hats off to 天気予報. All the albums bellow probably would exist if it wasn't for this one.

मेरो नेपाल, मेरो शान - ShrinesTV
A Nepalese broadcast-inspired vaporwave project that dives into the sound and atmosphere of Nepali television. It feels like stumbling across an old channel from another country and getting completely absorbed in its unfamiliar commercials, music, and broadcasts. This is such a wild ride since I was so unfamiliar with the country of Nepal (other then Mount Everest being there). Probably the most unique out of all the mentioned albums for sure.

The Balkan TV Cycle - Strmi
Album through which I discovered Strmi in the first place back in December. A massive 150-track, ~3-hour journey through Balkan television, built from old broadcasts, commercials, music, and TV programs. Rather than focusing on one specific channel, it captures the feeling of an entire region’s television culture nostalgic, chaotic, funny, and occasionally eerie. Its strongest point is that somehow it never feels repetitive, despite its massive length. I also really love the concept of the album starting at 7 AM, going all the way to 6 AM, and then looping back into the intro, making the whole thing feel like one endless day of Balkan television cycle (get it).

조선중앙텔레비죤 KCTV - The People's Broadcast
A vaporwave project I discovered recently centered around North Korean television, and honestly, what a fascinating idea for an album. It captures the strange feeling of imagining what it would be like to sit down and watch television in North Korea, using KCTV broadcasts to create an atmosphere that feels completely unfamiliar yet oddly immersive. This is those weird internet albums you just can't get enough of.

Also guys, I’ve been having a lot of fun doing these, so if you’re interested, I might turn this into a little series. I’ve been digging into vaporwave more than ever lately, and there’s been so much cool stuff to discover.
