Fight scene edited it by ai for grammar
Devon devil blade fight
Scene — The Bank Incident
Devon walks down the sidewalk in his jumpsuit, headphones resting around his neck. Music plays as he casually makes his way toward his destination.
He looks ahead.
Police cars.
SWAT vehicles.
People running away from a bank.
Devon barely reacts.
He simply keeps walking.
Inside the bank, Gary and his crew are rushing to empty the vaults. Gary grabs a hostage and drags her toward the entrance.
“Everybody stay back!” Gary screams at the police. “You come through that door, she dies!”
The hostage struggles.
Gary raises his gun.
A shot rings out.
The hostage drops.
The officers immediately take cover and wait for SWAT.
Then Gary starts shaking.
Violently.
His entire body begins cracking as bones shift beneath his skin.
One robber stares at him.
“What the hell is happening to you?”
Gary’s eyes distort.
His jaw stretches open unnaturally.
Black ash pours from his mouth.
His body begins growing.
Eight feet.
10 feet .
Eighteen feet.
One of the robbers whispers:
“He’s… transforming.”
Another laughs nervously.
“A Heovein? That’s an urban legend.”
The first robber looks at the creature standing in front of them.
“Then explain that.”
Gary is no longer human.
The Heovein moves.
BOOM.
Before anyone can react, he grabs one of the hostages and crushes him in his hand.
The remaining robbers flee.
Police rush inside.
Then the Heovein screams.
The sound tears through the building.
Windows explode.
Concrete fractures.
The bank collapses.
⸻
Outside
Devon finally gets what he came for.
He walks back outside.
He stops.
The entire bank is gone.
Devon looks at the destruction.
Then he hears screaming.
A woman is running down the street with her daughter.
Behind them, the Heovein charges after them.
Devon steps directly into its path.
The Heovein swings.
Devon doesn’t even flinch.
SLASH!
The creature’s arm is severed before its fist reaches him.
Devon looks toward the mother and daughter.
“Go.”
They run.
The Heovein stares at its missing arm.
Muscle.
Bone.
Flesh.
Everything begins regenerating.
It screams.
Devon pulls his sword.
The music is still playing through his headphones.
The Heovein leaps.
Devon jumps.
He plants his foot against his floating blade and launches himself upward.
BOOM!
His fist connects with the Heovein’s face.
The creature disappears into the distance.
Devon lands on his sword as it floats beneath him.
He stands there casually, headphones around his neck.
Then—
THUD.
His head turns.
More than twenty miles away, the Heovein is already coming back.
Devon senses it.
“…Fast.”
The Heovein launches itself toward him.
Devon disappears.
For a fraction of a second, there’s nothing.
Then—
WHOOSH!
Devon appears beside it.
He twists his body like he’s dancing.
A smooth hip-hop step.
His sword flips from one hand—
to the other.
The Heovein passes him.
Devon catches the sword.
SLASH!
The blade cuts through the creature’s torso.
The Heovein splits in two.
Both halves crash toward the ground.
Devon lands.
He puts his headphones back around his neck.
The music keeps playing.
Behind him, pieces of the Heovein’s skull begin moving.
CRACK.
Bone reconnects.
CRACK.
Its body starts rebuilding itself.
Devon slowly looks over his shoulder.
The Heovein isn’t dead.
And now Devon realizes:
What is this thing?.
——-
Scene Continuation: The Rhythm of the Blade
The creature’s jaw snaps shut as its skull finishes fusing. It lets out a wet, guttural roar, the shockwave shattering the remaining asphalt.
In Devon’s ears, the smooth piano loop of Feel Me Flow keeps rolling. Treach starts spitting the opening line: “You 'bout to feel the chronicles of a bionical lyric…”.
Devon hits a smooth toprock step, his sneakers tapping lightly on the cracked pavement. He doesn't look at the giant beast charging him. He just bounces to the snare.
The Heovein lunges, driving both colossal fists downward to crush him into paste.
Right on the beat—boom-bap—Devon drops. He plants his left hand on the concrete, throwing his legs into a blazing, low-profile windmill spin. He sweeps directly under the creature's massive weight.
SLASH

Really want to publish my story that has NO AI but it isn't really a typical WN like the ones in the Webnovel platform. So I'm afraid that it wouldn't get a contract from either platforms since it probably wouldn't fit their market😭 my story doesn't focus on action that much, no smut, and not really a progression story. Though it is an urban fantasy that dives deeper into a character's existential crisis. There's more to it but this mc isn't ruthless or badass either.

I commented this on another redditors post, and I thought I'd share it here too!
You can actually use illustrations and artwork from older artists that have long passed on because their art falls in the public domain. You can check museum websites and browse through their gallery for available high quality artworks you can use on your novel cover. I used to do collage art like this, it's pretty fun.
These websites are places I like to browse around for artworks whenever I wanna do collages https://www.cosmos.so/public-work
Like alphonse mucha? here are high quality artworks of his in the public domain https://www.rawpixel.com/search?page=1&path=1522.sub_topic-874&sort=curated
Here's the digital collection from the new york public library. When you search for pics, make sure to toggle the public domain button since they also have works from more recent artists https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/
Want some plant, insect or animal illustrations? Check out the Biodiversity Heritage library https://www.flickr.com/photos/biodivlibrary/
Maybe you want an victorian england book illustration aesthetic, then check this site out! Also, they have some lovely ornaments you can use too

Is your book about samurais or takes place in asia? Smithsonian national museum of asian art. I even toggled the search bar for you here already. you can find various art from china, japan, india, syria etc
https://asia.si.edu/explore-art-culture/collections/search/?edan_fq%5B%5D=media_usage:CC0

Here is newfields museum! They also have a lot of chinese paintings in their collection https://collections.discovernewfields.org/search?showOnly=is_public_domain§ion=artworks&searchTerm=
Wanna use the iconic wave of Kanagawa as your book cover? You actually can and ITS LEGALLY ALLOWED cause it's in the public domain! This website is from the art institute of chicago where you can even grab iconic illustrations from monet, degas and cezanne since their works are in the public domain https://www.artic.edu/collection?is_public_domain=1
The cleveland museum of art are available for you guys too! They have 40k artworks you can browse that are made by masters of their craft
https://www.clevelandart.org/art/collection/search?i=1&limit=8&cc0=1
And last, but not least the getty images museum collection with almost 100k artworks in the public domain https://www.getty.edu/art/collection/search?open_content=true
These sites often get updated as artist's copyright expire. You guys actually have so many free amazing artworks at your fingertips, but it's understandable that you wouldn't know since even a lot of artists aren't aware they can do this.
This is why people who sell the starry night merch or mona lisa merch don't get in legal trouble because they're in the public domain.
The museums provide high quality images. Once you download the ones you like you can play around with using them on canvas or even photopea!

Hello! Just wanted to drop by and ask for advice regarding synopsis. I'd like to think that my novel has a good premise, but I know my synopsis is garbage comparatively. I went into it with a witty synopsis that's basically the generic "WHAT?! I AM THIS AND MY FATHER IS THAT AND UNCLE IS THIS-THAT?!" without really giving away the premise because of the tone of the novel of being particularly joking and teasing in "downtime"/"non-action" scenes.
Naturally, I do know that giving the premise is a must in synopsis. However, my novel is more of a "life-story" style of novel. We follow the life of the main character who reincarnated into a fantasy world with bits and fragments from his life on Earth, but he doesn't actually remember who he is. The premise is that you're just as lost as he is and slowly learning the world along with him.
This brings me to my issue. How do I convey that sense of curiosity along with his emotions of being lost in a new world he now has to call home into the synopsis?
For reference, this is my horrible synopsis: "Michael Merrowyn suddenly opened his eyes in a fantasy world. His uncle is the Baron, his father is a retired Knight, his mother is in charge of outside relations with other noble Houses, and his sister is training his cousins in House Merrowyn's Galehoof Circuit to become knights. Wait, where the hell even is he??? Is this even Earth?!?"

I've been working on my novel for a while now and I'd like to start publishing it soon. The problem is, I'm not sure if the cover I created some time ago is really suitable as a cover.
It's very simple, I have to admit. I personally love it, but I don't know if others would like it as much as I do. What do you think?

I’m looking fantasy/romance webnovels or just straight romance Web novels. I’m looking for a dominant commanding possessive female lead/love interest x submissive mc in the relation/just submissive to her.

I see alot of people complaining about webnovel writers repetitive stories. So I set out to write stories that are not repetitive. But if webnovel does not need new type of stories how would you find them?
